It was a beautiful night. No, better than that, it was perfect! There wasn't a cloud in the sky and all the stars were clearly visible. They sparkled in unison with the crescent moon, bathing the land below in a soft, white light.
Illia studied one such star as she looked through the telescope. No, it looked like a planet. She adjusted the focus and took a second look. Yes, it was clearly a planet. Illia never really favored any class. You show up to take notes to past the test. Nothing more. However, Astronomy was different. She could sit for hours just staring up at the stars. Some people believe that you can tell the future by observing the stars. Illia didn't believe in any of that. She only liked the calming effects. Rising, she walked over to the giant window that started from the bottom of the wall and continued up to form the ceiling. She laid down on her side, head resting on her hand and watched the stars glistening like so many perfect little diamonds.

The sky above was black. Infinitely, mesmerizingly, breath-takingly black. Of course, the expansive void was dotted with silver stars and other celestial what-not. Real pretty, yep. Most came to do research or just emerse themselves in the endless starscape above. However, one student had her telescope pointed in an entirely different direction.
Anouk swiveled the metal tube of a device away from the sky, pointing it towards the boys dorms. A sort of pur rumbled in her throat as she looked for withdrawn curtains. "Ah-ah," she muttered "Jackpot." The white-haired girl tore her face away from the telescope for a minute to glance around. The room was pretty empty aside from a girl she didn't recognize. 'She's caught up star-gazing,' Anouk thought 'No threat there,'. She put her bright green eye against the glass again and squinted as she randomly turned the dials, trying to find a setting that cleared up this damn blurriness.

Illia turned slightly, remembering she wasn't alone up here. It was a rather peculiar looking girl with white hair. However, she couldn't have cared less about how the girl looked. Her sights locked on the telescope she was using. From the angle it was pointing at, she assumed the girl wasn't stargazing. She rolled her eyes as she sat upright, crossing her legs.
"Nice night, isn't it?" She asked sarcastically, her back to the girl.

Hearing the other girl speak Anouk sat up with a start. "What? Oh, yeah. Real nice," she glanced over her shoulder at the girl, then back down at the telescope. Sighing inwardly she tipped it up towards the sky. "Mhmm. Yeah," she muttered, "There's some real nice star-age goin' on here." She knew her attempt to appear innocent was weak, it was more for humor than anything. Anouk looked over her shoulder again. She recalled seeing the other girl in the halls once or twice, though she'd never formally introduced herself. Seeing the chance to make a new friend, the phoenix pounced on it. "So, I don't see you around too much," she began, tilting the instrument down ever to subtly "I'm Anouk."

Illia watched her lower the telescope with a sigh. Well, at least she didn't seem so bad... In most regards. She glanced over at her, curiously. Illia thought she probably would have remembered seeing this girl, even in passing. Well, she didn't pay attention to much that didn't concern her. The girl introduced herself as Anouk. Just perfect as Illia had trouble remembering simple names. She began repeating the name in her head as she responded.
"I'm Illia," She returned her gaze to the stars above, "It's... Nice to meet you."

Anouk clicked her tongue, recognizing hesitance in Illia's tone. "Billia, eh?" she said "Pretty name, Billia. Unique, too." She pushed the telescope the rest of the way down and peered through again. The focus was still off. Anouk muttered unintelligibly. "Sooo," she droned "The sky is, um, it's clear today. What are you looking at?" The white-haired girl peeked over at Illia's telescope, though she really couldn't tell what she was seeing through it. She had virtually no knowledge about astronomical tools.

Illia turned her body to face Anouk. Did she really just call her Billia? She shook her head and looked back up again. From her spot, Aquarius and Cygnus were clearly visible, although she hadn't been looking for one constellation in particular. She scooted over to her telescope to get a better look at a particularly bright group of stars.
"It's... Illia, by the way... There's no B," She corrected, still looking through her telescope, already beginning to get mesmerized, "I was just taking in all the stars... I enjoy stargazing... The night sky is... Pretty."

Anouk battled inwardly with her mind, resisting the urge to say 'those boys over there were pretty.' She remained silent after a moment, daring only to speak once the inner struggle had been beaten down. "It is pretty," she agreed "And sorry, Billia. It's my accent. Bi can't always pronounce 'bi' sounds correctly," she smiled apologetically. She blinked her green eyes a few times, which had become.. Cramped? Could eyes be cramped? Well, whatever staring into the butt of the telescope had done it had caused great discomfort in Anouk's general ocular region. She blinked a few more times for good measure. "What's your favorite, er, constellation?"

She didn't bother to turn around this time, and instead remained glued to her telescope. Illia supposed she'd have to accept the fact that she was Billia to this girl. She adjusted the focus as she found another planet amidst the stars. She stopped looking through her telescope to look up at the sky herself in an attempt to find the planet again on her own.
"Hm... I like Lynx," She said, still looking up, "But you can only see it in the winter here."

"Lynx," Anouk said, furrowing her brows and giving a thumbs up in an expression of mucho concurrence. "That is a great constellation. Mm," she grunted, giving the sky a once over for anything that looked remotely like a lynx. Nada. However, something did catch her eye. Or it caught something within her that signaled her eye to look for the source of the disturbance. As an ice-elemental she was somewhat attuned to presence of the frozen substance itself, even vaguely just water. This connection had been put to the front of her mind by the sudden and unexpected appearance of ice and condensation of water.
Anouk frowned, eyes darting across the starscape. Nothing looked out of place, and yet, she knew, or rather she felt, that there was some frozen substance falling from the heavens. Falling fast enough in fact for the outermost surfaces to be burning off, leaving a misty trail in it's wake. Anouk's green eyes locked on the object she thought to be causing the disturbance. It was growing gradually larger.
Before she really knew what was happening Anouk had smashed herself into Illia's side, knocking them both a few feet. As it turned out her valiant attempt to save the girl had not made much of a difference.
There was a deafeningly loud crash as the meteor made contact with the glass and metal material in which the observatory was built. Luckily for the people within, the object had taken out the opposite side of the building. What had previously been the left half of the structure was now a pile of smoldering remains, many of which had fallen into the crater caused by the meteor's impact.
Anouk stared dumbly at the scene before her, barely breathing. After a few long moments she turned her head ever so slightly towards the girl she was sitting on. Nothing her eyes took in registered. "Ah.. Ha.. Haha.." Hysteria, Anouk was vaguely aware, was setting in. She stood up carefully and paced back and forth a few steps, brushing the debris off her clothing. ooc; Lol. Sorry for the long and unrealistic post x]

Illia stared at the empty, half-collapsed room, unable to comprehend anything that had just happened. She watched the skies for a long time, occasionally seeing small pieces of glass fall to the ground around her. After several minutes, thoughts began to register in her mind. Something had obviously crashed into the observatory. Hard. Was it... A meteor?
The chimera slowly pushed herself and walked to the opposite side of the observatory. She craned her neck to look down at the smoldering crater and the building remains that decorated it. Illia - as attuned to the cold as she was - was able to feel an eerie, chilling sensation emanating from the crater. Her head snapped back as she was suddenly aware that there had been other people in the room. Well, Anouk seemed alright, if not a bit shaken. The others who had been around the impact site were now walking in confused circles on the lawn. Illia sniffed at the air, worriedly. Well, it seemed like none of them were humans, thankfully. Then again... What would anyone think when they saw this mess? She looked down at the rubble as an unintended smile spread across her face.
"I wonder if we'll be blamed for this!" She said, laughing hysterically, "I wonder how much detention this would be worth!"
She sat down, still laughing, on the dusty floor. Looking up at the night sky she attempted to control her breathing. Suddenly, her eyes caught something high in the sky. It glowed like a star come to life as it hovered in the air. It seemed to be watching them... Even laughing at them. After a moment, she realized what this creature was. A nymph. A celestial nymph, of course. After all, what were the odds of a meteor striking the observatory tower? This little beast did that.

Mizore couldn't sleep again. She woke up late this morning. No, rather than she woke up late this afternoon. She woke up at 3pm. She couldn't care less about classes and stuff. All she care is about sleeping and walking around at night. Apparently, some students are like her but they only cover 2 percent of this school. Maybe around 20 students. This school can hold lots of students. Maybe even ten thousand.
She figured out there's a place yet to discover. This place, she heard she can see many stars. It's no other than the observatory, correct? She found the place after fifteen minutes of walk. She enjoyed it, after all, the wind is chilly. She loved it. She entered the observatory and saw two students. Illia and an unknown girl. She came in softly, so there's chance she might not be noticed. Perhaps it will be better that way. She quietly took a sit on one of the many chairs and then gaze up the sky.

"Blamed? Blamed?" Anouk spiraled into another fit of giggles. "Ahh," she sniffed and wiped her nose against the less filthy of her two wrists. After the girl had recovered somewhat she looked back over to Illia, who was staring at the sky. Anouk turned her gaze in the same direction, wondering what the chimera saw. A mischievous figure dangled in the sky. She had half a mind to go up there and show it who it was dealing with, but remembered conveniently that it had destroyed half the observatory with what appeared to be little effort.
Anouk growled and flicked a bit of concrete off of her shoulder. As she did so a quiet girl crept into the wreckage "Hey, you," Anouk called "Purple-head." She waved in the girl's direction. "You blind or something?"

Illia continued to sit and watched the glowing figure watching them. It was almost as if she were mesmerized by the little creature. Then, as quickly as it had appeared, the nymph was gone. All that was left was a small streak of light heading toward the forest. For a moment, she seriously considered jumping out of the observatory and giving chase to the little monster, but she decided against it. The creature was obviously, very powerful.
The chimera was brought out of her stupor by Anouk's words. She had almost forgotten that there was another person here. She turned her head to see that the ice-girl had arrived and had quietly taken a seat in the part of the observatory that was still standing.
"I think she prefers it this way," Illia chuckled, "It's cold and broken up here."
She was left laughing hysterically once again. The chimera then laid down on her back and covered her eyes with both of her hands, trying to stay sane for a period of time.

The white hair girl called her a purple head. So, should Mizore repay her kindness and call the white hair girl an old lady? Her hair is white, after all. And she's getting bored of the stars. She lose her interest quickly. "No I'm not, old lady." She shouted back at her. Of course, calling a teenager an old lady won't be that offensive, at least for her.
Seconds later, Illia stated that Mizore preferred it this way. Indeed, she liked it this way. She hates it when there is some loud noise suddenly at a silent night. And boo. The silent night turned to some laughing night.
Illia was laying on her back on the floor. She got ****ed. She, while not changing her usual dull face, made a flawless ice bowl filling Illia in. Kinda looks like the bowl was fit her for. It won't be that easy to get out as the outer bowl was covered with sharp ice that could prick one's flesh to blood if touched. Well, not that sharp, but if you try to smash the ice with your hand, it will go through your hand. That didn't explain why it's hard to get out because the reason is, first, it is slippery, second if you try to hold the edge of the bowl for balance, then it won't be such a good idea. Since it is also sharp. Well, just imagine the bowl as a Sea Urchin.
Illia won't be able to melt it. Her body served as a boost for the ice. How useful. Mizore smiled to herself, she found ways to use Illia as a tool. She created a mini Jack Frost and placed it on the chairs. It can see and move. Mizore went to the door smiling and exit the observatory, she wanted to get some fresh air outside. She really want to watch how Illia get out. If she tries smashing the bowl, no, it's slippery, but even so, if she tries, maybe, just maybe she will add those sharp things in the inner bowl. That kinda sounds like torturing, or killing? Maybe she turned evil? Who knows.
[OOC: You can stop her from going out, I'm not quitting the thread. ._,]
