Once they sat down, she spoke her soul out to him. He let out a low laugh, to let her know that her reactions were funny... If the laugh wasn't enough, he told her directly:
"Well, as I grew up, they stopped calling me cute but said I was handsome, sexy or anything like that. I don't mind being called cute, but compliments from you are much better from anyone else." he said, blushing a bit "And thanks for complimenting me... It makes me feel so special to you... As much as you are to me...". He gave her a sweet kiss in the lips.

"I guess that kinda makes sense." She smiled at him. It had been so long since she had been kissed that she didn't see it coming. Her heart skipped a beat and blushed. It didn't last long, but it still left her slightly dazed. Well, that was... nice. She didn't know what to say so she sat in her seat quietly while waiting for the movie to start. After a few moments of thought, she whispered, "You mean a lot to me too." She knew that it wasn't quite what one would call an adequate response, but she didn't know how else to respond. Kendryek had only kissed her on rare occasions and her late husband had been dead for over twenty years. Maybe that was something she should tell him, the whole 'late husband' thing.
"You know... I... I'm kinda new at this. Kendryek wasn't really romantic except for the first few years that we dated. After that we became more of friends. He would still take me out for my birthday and Christmas, and we would spend holidays like Thanksgiving with his family. He would even buy me a dozen roses and expensive chocolate every valentines day once we were serious. Other than that, he was simply there for me when I needed him." She was silent for a moment before diving into the next sentence. "Before that there was my late husband." It was tempting to watch his face, but she was afraid it might discourage her from continuing. "He was kind of more like you, but after I had our little girl..." she trailed off. That was all the mentioning of that she was going to do. She sighed before going on. "Afterward, money became tight so he had to take on a second job. By the time..." She swallowed again; she could do this. "Four years later he was driving home from daycare. I never saw him alive again." She swallowed once more before looking at him.
She smiled, her eyes watery. "So, yeah, I'm not used to... you know, dating. Just a warning."

He listened to her history, as the movie was yet to begin. He felt bad for her, but gave her another kiss on her lips as she was over with the history. He gently caressed her cheek and said "I know what it is... To not have much luck with a partner. My first partner was a common fox, then I went for humans, then back to foxes... With every partner I had, there was an issue or two... But we always worked together to solve them. And I won't be like Ken... I'll be always with you, either in person or in your heart... I won't disappear like your husband, for you can easily see me with you and I'm not to die."
"Chasity, we'll live together forever... And, even if death do us apart, we'll fight our way to be together..." he said "Like I promised to my first mate... I promised to bring her back to life, even if she were to be my daughter."

The words were sweet, but she wasn't one to believe every guys words on a simple whim or because of how promising they sounded. Whisper would have to prove his words to be true before she believed them. It was how she was raised. Men would lie to get what they wanted, and even though he wasn't a human, he was still a male. She was pretty sure that he was telling the truth, but that was because she had been introduced to him by Kendryek and she knew that he wouldn't lead her wrong. She knew that Whisper wouldn't appreciate the disbelief, but she smiled and said it in a way that was more of a challenge than bluntly saying she didn't believe him.
"Well, Mr. Kawaii," she teased, "living together is a long time! You'll have to hold me tight to keep me for that long!" In other words, he'd have to show his dedication. Her face said she was daring him to do so, asking him to do so, but that was just for his sake. Yes, she wanted to be with someone for the rest of her life, and if that person wasn't Whisper she would be disappointed but it wouldn't be the end of her world. Life went on and it always would.
And no matter how much she liked Whisper, if he didn't prove himself, he wasn't worth the pain it would bring in the end.

He gave her a warm smirk and said "I'll hold onto you... So firmly that nothing will do us apart... Nothing...". He held her within his arms and allowed her to feel his heartbeat and warmth. "For you, I'll do everything... I'd go to the space and bring you a star, I'd go to another worlds and take you with me if you desired, I'd even die in body to protect you, and live with you as a soul to later become alive again." he said "But I'd never make you sad or let you feel alone, never... Chasity."

Chasity smiled at him, almost in a sad way, as she shook her head slightly. "What you say is nice and all, but... I don't listen to possibly empty words, Whisper. I haven't known you for long, so it's not possible for you to know this, but I don't listen to sweet-talkers. That's one reason I liked Kendryek. He never tried to give me words of promises that he couldn't keep. So none of those, 'I'd do this, or that, if I could', okay? If anything, tell me what you will do, or better yet, don't tell me and let it be a surprise. I like surprises!" she smiled brightly at him. "I hope I'm not being too rude!" She had only thought of that. Had she been rude in saying that? It was kind of how he was, telling her things that would make her happy, but in reality, it made her feel like she was dating someone that was just like every other guy out there. Sweet words made her feel good, but only if they were said every now and again.
Sound blared through the theater and she jumped, looking up at the now quickly changing screen. It was some commercial for an action packed thriller that was coming out in a few months. She shook her head slightly, amused at how she had been startled. "Stupid trailers," she mumbled under her breath.

He chuckled and kissed her again, saying "Believing in one's words is important... But one should believe in what comes out their lips even more than one who listen to them. So they will be confident enough to make them come true. So, yes, I believe in my own words before I let them song for you. Believe in me and you shall see it is true..."
As the sound blasted through the theater, he let out an startled yelp, accidentally letting his disguise fail on him. He gave a quick glance around, to see if anyone noticed. No one would have, unless they could see through the extra layer of illusion, which showed him as human. "Good thing I kept a layer of illusion..." he whispers to himself before taking his human form again.

Chasity listened to his words, only slightly more convinced than before. She was sure that for now they were going to stay together, and she was a loyal person, but she wasn't sure how strong his devotion would be when times were worse than hard. She shrugged at him, but that was all.
For now she would leave it be and hope for the best. And pray. Payer was always the best idea. She sighed and dazed, her eyes no longer focusing on the screen. What did these next few months hold? What plans were being made? This was definitely going to last, but for how long? Would they get to know each other and decide that it wasn't going to work? There were so many uncertainties, but that was a part of being in a relationship.
((how long r we gonna do this? don't we need to take it to the restaurant soon? or at least have the movie be over?))[/color]

He held her hand tight as they watched the movie, but made sure it didn't hurt her. Their eyes meet often, through the corner of his eyes... Still... The flame of his passion burned bright all the while. He could feel her "fears", he could smell it in her pherohormones while his... His pherohormones hinted he was no afraid at all. He was sure of his desires. And, more importantly, he was sure that she would be his very reason to exist.

The movie was a good one. The plot was decent and the actors did a good job playing their parts. Not, though, the movie was over and they were headed for the restaurant.
