"Oh, sweet!"
They had learned a bit about thunder magic in class. Not to the point of learning a wicked awesome spell where she can shoot lightning out of her fingertips. Just the basics. That's all they learned about most of the types of magic. Aside from the occasional low-level spell, of course. Although, they hadn't taught them anything about dark or light magic. She wondered why. It seemed like a cool power to have.
"I know some magic too! Oh! Watch this!"
Ailyth removed the necklace she wore around her neck and held it in front of her. She steadied it with her other hand so that it was completely still as it hung in front of her face. Then, concentrating on her target, she breathed in and out steadily, watching the necklace with a piercing gaze.
After a moment of pure concentration, her hands began to tremble and she was having trouble keeping her breathing stable. Then, suddenly, there was a small gust of wind, causing the necklace to begin swinging like a pendulum. Triumphant, Ailyth smiled up at Rei once again.
"Didja see that?! I made the wind move it!"
She took the swinging necklace and replaced it around her neck. That was pretty awesome in Ailyth's opinion.

She had never actually seen wind magic before, so she had to admit it was pretty cool. She wished Nai wouldn't be so stubborn and show her some of his magic! She swore he could act so chilidsh sometimes..! He always said it was too dangerous. Huff ! She always thought a kitten could be more dangerous, but she would have to wait and see.
"That is cool,"
Maybe Ailyth would be in a magic class with her brother one day. She could just see Nai's face now. He could be a little old-fashioned when it came to girls.
"Maybe you'll be in class with him one day ! Though I warn you, he takes competition seriously."
She laughed slightly at the thought of it. She would need a camera on that day.

Ailyth leaned back, pleased that Rei thought her magic was cool. From what they had learned about magics, wind was her favorite. Water was just a little intimidating to her and she preferred not to use fire. Though, in addition to the wind spell, they had been taught a low-level fire spell, which she attempted only once.
"That'd be cool! And I can get pretty competitive myself, I think!"
She was becoming quite interested in this Nai person. She'd quite like to see his thunder magic. Thunder was sort of related to the air... After all, it also came from the sky... Well, so did rain. Then again, rain came from clouds so... Actually, never mind what's related and what isn't. It'd still be a cool magic to learn.
"Um, so what grade is your brother in, then?.. Or is he in college?"

It was just then a thought popped in her head. What time was it ? She looked up at the windows of the gym and saw it wasn't dark yet. Phew, it definitely wasnt past curfew. She didnt know this place very well in the dark and even though she controlled darkness, she didnt have the energy to get lost.
She inclined her head slightly as Ailyth asked what grade Nai was in. Hmm, let's see.. Oh yeah, he was her grade. Duh !
"Hes in 12th grade same as me."
She could imagine Nai and Ailyth meeting. Rei believed they would be good friends, after Nai got used to her. Now that she thought about it, Nai was far too anti-social for his own good. It was then that Rei decided she would introduce him to people. This would be the point where you would hear the plotting sister evil laugh, but Rei just smiled slightly.

So her brother was also in 12th grade? That was still only 2 years ahead of Ailyth. Maybe they'd come across each other in class one day. After all, she was taking a magic course. Just an intro, but still. Actually... Wasn't there a necrology course? Perhaps she'd be able to learn dark magic there! She oughta look into that next year.
"That's awesome! I'd like to meet him someday!"
It was then she noticed how Rei turned to look out the window. Ailyth followed her gaze to see the sun just beginning to set; it wasn't dark yet. She was probably checking what time it was. Well, a window can make a decent clock. Especially since clocks were so hard to find in this school. At least for Ailyth. She could really use a watch.
"Oh, are you worried about breaking curfew?"

The wheels in Rei's head were turning as Ailyth said she would like to meet her brother. Yes ! It all was all going along with her plan ! She resisted the urge to smile slyly and nodded.
"Then I'll definitely have to introduce you! If I could find him that is."
She knew her brother was very skilled in hiding, practice from rabid girl attacks, but this was getting ridiculous ! She had looked everywhere for him ! Knowing her luck, he was leaving just as she was arriving.
"Hmm ? Oh, no I just don't feel like getting lost, even though I control darkness, doesn't mean things dont look different at night."
What happened next surprised her. Speaking of the devil, Nai darted in closing the door behind him. She almost laughed as she heard squealing girls run by as he locked the door.
"It's about time I saw you Nai !" -------------------------------------------------- He was sick of getting chased by girls ! All he had asked them where the office was, and he gets chased by them. This was seriously getting annoying.
He sighed and ran his hands through his hair when he heard his sister talking to him. He whirled around and saw Rei sitting on the floor talking with another girl. He hoped the girl wasn't psychotic..
"Oh..., hey Rei.."
He supposed he'd check out the classrooms tommorrow, since he hadn't exactly seen his sister lately. He couldn't help but cringe at all the white she was wearing. Of course, white still her favorite color after all..
"Must you always wear so much white..?"

Ailyth nodded, looking back out the window. Actually, it would probably be best for her as well if she didn't stay out too late. She had terrible night vision. Of course, that never stopped her before. At least she had her cell phone which served to double as a sort of flashlight at times.
At that moment, the gym doors burst open as an older boy entered, locking the doors to keep out what sounded like several rabid fan girls. That was strange. Perhaps this guy was a musician and the girls were his groupies? He did have sort of an emo musicians look to him. Well, it all made sense to Ailyth then, until she heard Rei call him by name.
Nai? Her brother? Wow, the timing was... Kinda creepy. But in an awesome sort of way. Maybe they had sibling telepathy, or ESP or whatever it was called. But then again, didn't twins usually have that?
Shrugging this thought out of her mind, she jumped to her feet and clasped her hands together in front of her.
"Hi! So you're Rei's brother? My name's Ailyth! Nice t'meet'cha!"
Smiling, she skipped up to him and held her hand out in greeting.

Rei watched as Ailyth skipped up to her brother with an introduction. She couldn't help but wonder if he would be nice or not.
She gave him a slight look as she finished packing up her things. She had never actually finished so might as well do it now.. -------------------------------- Well, at least she wasn't psychotic.. Or hanging on him.. Hmm, maybe all the girl's here weren't irritating. He took her hand and shook it slightly and let it fall back to his side. He wasn't much for introductions..
"Yeah, I'm Nai,"
Hmm, he had seen that look on his sister before, and it meant nothing good for him. It meant she was plotting. Not to mention the 'be nice' look she was giving him meant it had to do with this girl Ailyth...
"I guess my sister's been talking about me.."
He chuckled slightly as he ran his hands through his hair again. Man he did that a lot didn't he ?

Her smile broadened as he introduced himself. He didn't say much, did he? Well, Ailyth had experience with quiet people... At least this one didn't seem evil. He must be okay if he had so many fan girls following him.
"Uh huh! She talked about your wicked awesome magic skills," She explained, rocking back and forth on her heels, "Ya know, I know some magic myself! Some."
She felt that it was necessary to add the word "some." After all, if she didn't it might maker her seem like a magic expert when, in reality, she only knew two spells. But still, they were awesome spells! Though, she probably didn't have to mention that. The awesomeness was clearly implied.

Rei could resist the victorious grin that was currently on her face. Yes ! She had gotten Nai to talk to someone ! She also did a mini victory dance, and quickly left Nai with Ailyth. ------------------------------------ Nai saw his sister leaving and glared at her slightly. So, she had been planning on leaving him with Ailyth. Seriously, his sister needed to get out more. Not that he should be talking....
Wicked awesome magic skills..? He wouldn't quite call it that, but hey, the praise was a nice change. He'd take wicked awesome over disturbing and/or morbid any day of the week. He let slight smirk come over his face as she told him she knew some magic. Hmm, maybe she took one of his classes ?
"Oh, really ? What kind ?"
He hoped it wasn't water. He really disliked water in general, he being a thunder user, it usually ended up in him shocking himself...

"Well... I don't know that much. But I'm getting better with wind magic!"
Hearing a door open, Ailyth looked down the gym room in time to see Rei shut the door behind her. Wow, she left in a real hurry. She must really dislike the darkness, ironically. After all, she didn't even say goodbye. Not even to her brother. Shrugging, she waved at the closed door.
"Wonder why she left so quickly?" It was more of a spoken statement of wonder rather than an actual question.
Returning her gaze to the boy in front of her, Ailyth continued smiling. She had come down here expecting to spend the evening alone, practicing her skills, but it was always better to have someone to talk to. Especially if they were nice and especially if that someone wasn't planning on killing you, of course. Nai seemed to fit that description perfectly.
"I'm taking Intro to Magics this year, by the way!"

Hmm, wind magic was okay, but it definitely wasn't his specialty. He always imagined wind types as free-spirits of sorts, if that made any sense. He always believed that what type of person you were determined the type of magic you were best at. If that made any sense, it showed a lot for him, huh ?
"Hmm, I use only dark magic."
He hoped she didn't think he was implying everything else was useless. Because, actually, all magic had a place in the world. His brought death, and hers.. well he wasn't exactly sure what wind did... He had seen his sister leave, but wasn't too concerned about it. He knew she was simply attempting to get him to socialize. Cunning wasn't she ?
"She's trying to get me to socialize more..."
Figures his little sister would do that kind of stuff. Wasn't that their job ? Anyway, he had just remembered why he had hid in here in the first place. He didn't hear anything, but he would stay a little longer just to be safe.
So, she was in Intro to Magics.. That class didn't really catch his attention since that meant they studied all types of magic. Including the oh-so hated water magic. He already knew his type of magic anyway..
Interesting. I'm in Intro to Necrology and Advanced Withcraft.."
Honestly, though, he enjoyed magic quite a bit. Especially his thunder magic. That was probably his favorite, and the reason he liked thunderstorms so much...

Interested, Ailyth looked back toward the closed door once again. She wondered if sisters usually did things like this. Sneaking away in order to get their brother more socialized? Ailyth couldn't say. After all, she didn't have any siblings. She had plenty of cousins but... Let's just say, they didn't get along.
Looking back at Nai, Ailyth tried to figure out why he needed to be pushed in order to socialize. After all, he seemed really nice. He even had a group of girls follow after him. It shouldn't be hard for him to make friends. Perhaps he chose not to? No, that was silly! Why wouldn't he want friends?
Ailyth was about to ask just that before she caught herself. That was probably a bad question to ask. She was learning to create and respect these boundaries when she didn't know the person that well.
Forcing herself to think of something else, she decided to focus on magic.
"Really? That sounds cool! I'd like to take Necrology one year!"
Well, if he needed to socialize more, Ailyth should help! Let's see... It was always easier to talk about things you like, right? So what else... Oh! Rei said he also knew thunder magic, right? That might be a good topic. And after all, thunder and wind were similar in that... Well, they were similar in some way.
"So! You can use thunder magic too, right?"

For some reason he couldn't imagine Ailyth taking Necrology, but if that's what kind of magic she liked she should take it. He tensed as he heard the fangirls go running by again, obviously not too pleased they'd lost sight of him.
He was more than happy.
He had always wondered why girls acted like that when it only drove guys away. One of life's mysteries he supposed. One that he never wished to solve.
"Yeah, it's my primary magic."
He very much enjoyed Thunder magic. It was so unlike the other magics and you had to work quite hard to control it. Not to mention it would shock you if you weren't careful.

Ailyth pursed her lips as she considered her next move. He still wasn't talking much. Maybe he really was anti-social. That made everything make even more sense. Like, it made more sense for his sister to devise a plan like this if he really needed it. But why was he so anti-social? Was it something that happened in his past? Or maybe it's just his personality?
Ailyth opened her mouth, but quickly shut it once again. Right. Boundaries.
Just before she was about to blurt out the next random thing on her mind, she heard a group of girls scuttle by the door. Hm... What were a group of girls called? Was it a gaggle? Well, it sounded like the same gaggle of fan girls that had followed Nai down the hall before he had ducked into the gym room.
"Are they your... Fans?"
Ailyth was unable to understand why he would have groupies. If he was anti-social, he wouldn't be in a band... Actually... Wasn't there an entire genre of music about that? Ailyth didn't know much about music... She rarely listened to it. The rushing of water and the chirping of birds was what she really liked. Although, with how much lots of people around here talked about music, some types must be really good. She oughta give them a try sometime.
