First Experiment

Z glared at the girl that kicked him. Hey! What did he do? It wasn't his fault that his whole thing was one big hilarious mess!

"Ouch!" He cried, and scooted a little farther from the girl. "Sheesh, lighten up. It was just a little accident!"

He sniffed at the thought of everyone getting all worked up over it. What was the big deal? So she got some backing power on herself. It wasn't the end of the world. He'd been blown up before in science class. Now that was a big deal! This, well, this was nothing. A hiccup.

He looked around, making sure the teacher couldn't see him, then added a little more of the stuff that one girl did to her volcano. Then, before anything could happen, he heated the experiment up - really heated it up. The effect was catastrophic. He ducked, snickering as goop flew all over the class. Now THAT was an explosion! If only there'd been more fire...

"Damion!

"Yessir?

"The Keeper will see you too!"

"Ok!"

He got up, wiping off some of the goop from his face. He looked around, and noticed everyone else was covered in it too. How fun! They were all laughing at him now too, but he just raised his hands in the air to stifle the applause.

"Thank you, thank you. You're all too kind."

"And you're cleaning it up, Damion." The teacher called.

"Crap!"

Oh well. That was the price of having fun. He looked back over to the girl that had hit him, and stuck his tongue out at her.

"Come on! Laugh! It's funny!" He said.

After about fifteen minutes, Arabella headed back into the classroom. She'd gotten all of the baking soda off of her face, but there was still a stain covering her new shirt.
Great. My first day and already I've had a prank pulled on me.
Ara sighed. She imagined all of the eyes staring at her but when she looked at the class, they were all staring at Z.
What happened? Ara looked around and there was even more baking soda all over the class room than before.
She quickly sat in her seat next to Rima. "What did Z do?" she asked.

The guy then asked her to laugh at that commotion he made. Seriously, even though she's childish, she's already in a bad mood. Well, in any case she already got her anger out. By scaring the group and kicking Z.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." She sighed. And then looked at him. "I sure hope to see you clean." She said. "It's going to be funny, seeing a person like you clean." She added. Arabella then returned to her sit. Rima got back to her old self, cheerful one.

"Are you okay?" She asked. "He played a prank, similar to your accident.."

Z frowned at Rima. Really? She must be in one foul mood if she wasn't even able to appreciate good humor.

"Alright, alright, I get it." He shrugged, losing interest in her. Then, the other girl came back, and he had a big smile plastered across his face just for her.

"Beat you!" He laughed. "Though I'll give you points for the look on your face when the volcano exploded."

"I'm fine," Arabella smiled at Rima.
She touched her locket hanging around her neck. "Thanks for your concern."
Ara whipped around in her seat and looked at Z through narrowed eyes. "Figures he would do something like that. But...there's something about him though..."
She concentrated on his face. "He looks familiar." But then she turned to Rima. "Sorry, I guess I'm imagining things." She smiled sheepishly.

She don't get it when Arabella said that he's familiar or something. She got straight to the point, again. "You attracted to him?" She whispered to her. Wouldn't want that kid to hear that. Or get his hopes up high.

She sighed, this experiment is boring.

Arabella's eyes widened.
She looked around to make sure Z didn't hear that. "No, he just reminds me of someone."
She looked back at Z. "But why would I have a crush on Z? He's so annoying!" Ara didn't realize how loudly she'd gotten. Everyone's eyes were on her.
Oops!

"Who said what about liking me?"

Z peeked into the conversation, leaning over and trying to scrape off the last of the goo from his shirt. He found that using a pencil to ring it out helped some.

"And I find that annoying comment offensive." He smiled. "I'm just trying to get through the boring day here."

Ara didn't respond to Z. She turned to Rima and whispered. "Well since it's really boring around here, maybe we could have a party?" Arabella suggested. Maybe it could be fun, considering there was barely anything to do around the school grounds.

Z shrunk back into the crowd as the girl ignored him, but quickly came back into the fray at mention of a party.

"Party? Like, fun, dance, and drinks party?"

He smiled happily, thinking of it now.

"Maybe you two aren't as boring as I'd thought you'd be."

Ara turned around when she heard Z's comment. "Are you just talking to us so that you can insult us?"
She looked at him sourly and narrowed her eyes.

The dragon looked genuinely surprised.

"Me? Insult someone? I'd never think of it!"

He simmered down back into his easy, carefree manner.

"I just say it how it is, and I paid you a compliment too. I see nothing wrong with either of those things."

"We're not boring..." Arabella murmured under her breathe. "And..." she hesitated and looked at Z. "I guess that was a good compliment...coming from you, I mean."

Party? Now she's worried. The way Arabella suggested the party sounds like a wild one. She...she's not good with those. She's more used to formal types. Yeah, those with nobles coming to your mansion and talk talk talk. Pretty boring, but at least it's not...a wild party.

"Uh, sorry, I'm not good with...a wild party." She looked away while saying it. A teenager that doesn't know how to party. Lame, right? Well, at least she's a noble. Better than a wild party. She feels left out. Is there any noble person? She knock her head to her desk softly.

"I'll take it!"

Z smiled. He'd almost got all the goop off him now.

"So... where's this party?"

He'd decided he'd go now. It sounded fun. Wild and crazy fun. Just the way he liked it.
