Caroline stared up at the guy, now so stiflingly close. There was a moment of panic in her perfect features - just that little scare that ruined her pretty little priss face - then it was gone.
"What the hell is your problem?" She asked calmly, not angry, not overconfident, just questioningly, with the kind of brutal unassuming intelligence that few ever saw from her.
Caroline was exceedingly brilliant, to the point where she really didn't need school if she didn't like it so much. But, she wanted to learn, and she wanted to make friends, so here she was, in one of the finest schools out there. She wasn't all indulgent in the fact that she was smart. She didn't give it any proper attention. She liked to be the party girl, not that nerd in the back of the class. That is why she almost never showed people this side of her. She near hated herself for it... This boy though. He needed to see that she wasn't stupid. He needed to see that he wasn't the only one out there with things he needed to deal with daily.
"What makes you so special?" Again in that calm, non mocking, perfectly rational sound to her voice.
She wasn't trying to start a fight. She wasn't trying to be cocky. She just wanted to know.

He scowled slightly, what was his problem ? Frankly, she didn't deserve to know. She hadn't earned his trust, and until she did, he wouldn't tell her a damn thing.
He didn't bother telling her that though, she could figure it out. He simply stared down at her, his violet eyes never seeming to blink as he watched her expression.
So, she was trying to be intelligent hmm ? It wasn't really working for him. To him, intelligence wasn't what you knew from books or teachings. To him intelligence was the almost ethereal cunning you needed to stay alive on and off the battlefield.
This girl certainly didn't have that.
Heck, he knew humans that were intelligent, but this girl, thought that she was so smart. He'd like to see her reaction to combat. Probably shiver up in fear and be killed in the first few seconds.
He had leaned a bit closer as the frightful expression was placed on her face. At least she knew fear. Fear was healthy in most cases, but that paralyzing terror that came with the first time in a fight was fatal.
He honestly doubted she was intelligent at all, and she definitely couldn't fight...

The guy wouldn't talk, and he was looking at her like that again. Like she was an idiot, just because he was so perfect and special and wonderful.
She bet girls swarmed all over him, and he tricked himself into thinking he hated it. She thought he was the guy that did the best, knew all the answers, was the strongest, had the best looks, and played up his dark kid persona. And he pretended to hate it.
Maybe he did hate it, but hey, she was like that too. She was smart. She was strong. She was better than everyone else, and always had been. She just didn't pout about it and sulk in a corner, pretending to be all dark and mysterious. She had the courage to stand up to the crowds of people and interact with them. She didn't have to hide, like this kid did so often. She was strong in the spirit, where he cowered in the face of being public, pretending it was because he didn't like it, not because he actually couldn't deal with all that pressure.
She'd seen the type, and she knew that's what he was now. He was the best, but he was too ashamed to show it publicly. Then, when someone challenged him, he got to play the "dark kid" card, and everyone would back down. Well she wasn't about to. She knew his type and he was just a sniveling little coward to her.
He couldn't stand being where she was, in her place, staring at someone obviously big enough to hurt her, and still maintain his dignity and composure. He never had to do that, and he never would. He would be too afraid to be where she was standing right now...
"Get off of me." She sniffed, losing interest, pretending that she didn't care anymore. She shoved at his chest, so she could gain some distance, and began to walk away. She didn't need this. She didn't need some bully pretty boy to look down at her like that.

His eyes narrowed as he was shoved, quite rudely in his opinon. Did he say she could leave ? He didn't think so. With his intent in his mind he whipped around and grabbed her by the arm, pulling back.
"Stop acting like your all that , weakling, I know I'm better than you, but you don't seem to know that."
A snarl escaped him as he tightened his grip, not enough to hurt her, but enough to get his point across. She was being idiotic, and he had quite the urge to tear her limb from limb.
He sneered, pulling back on her arm again reinforcing his grip on her. As if he would let her escape now. She should have run a long time before now..
"I have a strong bloodlust actually, your highness"
He enjoyed the rage currently flowing through him. He didn't get to feel this often. If he had it his way, there would be blood. Unless she ran away before he got the chance.
"Maybe I should prove my point.."

Caroline jerked away, angry and afraid now. What was this guy, psycho? Did she need pepper spray or something? Of course, if she did, she'd forgotten it back at her dorm room, along with all the stuff that could help her get away from this guy now.
Was he really serious...? Bloodlust? He was crazy!
"Look, I really need to go now..."
That survival instinct kicking in, she started to think of all the things this kid could mean by what he'd said. Was he nuts? Was he just trying to scare her? Or.... was there anything else he meant? Something she didn't want to know about...

A dark chuckle came from him as he watched shrink back. Pathetic. Sure, she talked a big game, but in reality, she was just a scared little girl.
"I'm sure you do, human, run away like the sniveling coward you are."
He chuckled, was she afraid of blood ? He didn't know how anyone could dislike the precious liquid that kept them alive. Especially when it was so divine.
"Is the little girl scared of blood ?"
His grin widened. This was exactly why he was superior to this girl. Fear was a useless emotion. An emotion he didn't have.
He quickly went behind her, wondering how long it would take her to pass out or scream. It was all a game really.. He flicked her hair, he very much enjoyed games.

Caroline's head was buzzing, buzzing with all the things she could do now to get away. She had not idea what he meant by "human" or his weird comments on blood, but she could understand the coward one.
She'd sure as hell rather be a coward than dead in some freaky bloodletting ritual... and she was thinking that was where this was going right now.
He brushed a lock of her hair, and she felt his breath forcing the hair on her neck to rise. He was insane... Completely insane... She'd bash him senseless if she just had something hard enough. Maybe her fencing sword would work? She could think of all the things he could use, and how much she could hurt him and make him stop, if only she had them with her. Right now, she just had her towel. That, and the lake...
Wait, lake? She could go with lake. She was a better swimmer than him, and she could tell that he wasn't nearly as fast as her, even if he did look kind of strong.
Caroline clutched that idea now, holding it, drawing strength from it. She would need to do something to get him away from her first though.
"I'm not scared of anything." She said, pouting. She then switched over to one of her fun arsenal of languages - French, maybe? She used that instead, not knowing why she'd use it, but thinking it was useful in some way. "I'm not afraid of you, not at all." She kept it simple, precise. Maybe she'd be able to use this to get her away from this guy...

"Then why are you shivering ?"
He kept his grin on his face as she said she wasn't scared. What a liar this girl was. She could at least have left with dignity, but no, she had to irritate him.
He knew she would use the lake, if she could get that far. He pulled her forward, flinging her towards the woods in an uncaring manner. Almost like he was tossing his backpack.
"Enough games, girl"
He snarled darkly, crossing his arms as he watched her pathetic figure. He would show her how useless she really was. When she was dead, he would feel nothing, just like he always had.
This girl had insulted him to the breaking point, not to mention there was no one here. He could easily get rid of her.

Casually strolling along the lake shore, Ailyth was aimlessly kicking a pebble along the way. There was just nothing to do! She'd seen everything that was worth seeing and now, she was reduced to strolling around the lake for the fifth time that day. Stopping short, she let out a great sigh, looking down at her feet. Ailyth and boredom didn't go well together.
Suddenly, she was angry with the little pebble resting at her feet, as if it was the cause of her boredom. Bringing her foot back, she propelled it forward, striking the stone and causing it to fly out into the lake, where it was then swallowed up by the evil water. Yes, evil, deadly, wet water.
Her anger now directed toward the water, she picked up another stone and prepared to chuck it into the water as well. However, before she was able to, she caught sight of several figures further down the path. She let the pebble fall to the ground as she curiously trotted up to them.
"Um... Hey?"
She stopped before them, attempting to size up the situation. The boy she knew. She clearly remembered him from the gym room. He had dark and thunder powers or something. The girl, she didn't recognize, although she seemed a little freaked out. Ailyth wasn't sure what it was, but something about her just seemed... Human.
Confused, she looked from Nai to the girl, hoping one of them would explain what the hell was going on here. Hearing no response, she decided to force an answer as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"So... What the hell is going on here?"

Caroline turned, stunned at the noise she'd heard.
Was... that another person?
Yes! It was! She nearly jumped up and down with glee. Taking a quick look back at the guy, she quickly darted over to the other girl. Stupid psycho, she thought. You threw me right towards her!
Grabbing the girl's shoulder, and slinging herself happily behind her, Caroline peeked out over the girl's shoulder to glare at the guy.
"Um hey, not to ruin your walk or anything, but can I borrow you as a witness for a second? I think I'm about to be killed..."
Hell yes, she was using this girl as a shield. She did not want to die. She really, really didn't, and besides, there were two of them now, right? Caroline, and the new girl. They outnumbered him. That was good, right?
Whatever the case may be, Caroline knew one and only one thing now. She was going to use this new angle to do whatever she could to get away from this guy. Then she was friggin calling the school police on him!

Nai sighed as Ailyth appeared. Great now he was going to get yelled at... He didn't feel like getting scolded at like a little kid.
"Hmm, Ailyth, teach that fool some manners"
Ailyth was proof he could get along with other people civilly. It wasn't his fault that human was an utter moron and would never amount to anything.
For all he knew, this was some plot to annoy him..

Ailyth was somewhat bewildered as the girl hurried behind her. She was... About to be killed? Looking up at Nai, she waited for his reaction. Or more like his lack thereof. Once more looking at the girl behind her before turning her attention to Nai, she attempted to piece together what was going on.
Satisfied that she had come to a decent conclusion, she stepped forward, facing Nai with her hands on her hips.
"How dare you?!" She attempted unsuccessful to sound formidable, "You can't just freak out humans like that! It's just... Not nice!"
Ailyth bit her lip as the words left her mouth. She really had to work on her insults.
With a sigh, she looked back at the girl once again. Nai didn't seem like the type to kill anyone... But that girl was really freaked out. Maybe he wouldn't kill, but he still might hurt someone. Actually... Why wouldn't he kill? What was that nonsense about "no feelings?" If he really was unemotional, he wouldn't have a problem with killing someone!
She was getting more and more worked up with each thought that crossed her mind. Narrowing her eyes, she stared at him though the only thing that she was able to see clearly with that bright veil of red obscuring all else.

Hmm, he had been getting to killing her. If Ailyth hadn't come along... Damn, he hated that human. More than he had hated anything. Except for his father, that is. His father, however , had gotten his punishment.
Unfortunately it hadn't been from his hands..
He glared slightly as she attempted to scold him. Jeez, she was too nice for her own good.
"Get out of the way ,Ailyth."
He growled out walking past her towards the stupid human that dared to mock him. His thunder crackled along the arm he held behind him, he needed to finish this now.
"Don't just think your going to die, human"

"Hey!"
Ailyth scuttled back immediately, placing herself between Nai and the girl. So he was planning on killing her? He was seriously planning on killing her? Why, he... He was as bad as that stupid dog! No, he was worse! This girl didn't even have any way to defend herself! Well... Neither did Ailyth... But at least she had wings!
"Just back off, you jerk! And leave her alone!"
Inhaling a deep breath, Ailyth set her shoulders back in an attempt to seem threatening. Sure, she had no weapons. Sure, she couldn't do much magic. Sure she wasn't even dangerous in her true form. She could still put up a good fight! After all, her fingernails were remarkably sharp! She still had that!
Besides, she wasn't about to let him hurt the human girl. Ailyth had been in a strangely similar situation not too long ago. The only difference was that then she was completely alone. In a deserted cemetery and a nearly deserted mansion. There wasn't anyone there to defend her. Well, she wasn't about to let that human girl go through what she went through. There was no way!

His merely stood there for a moment a his vision blurred. No he was not crying ! He smelled blood was all. He stumbled backward turning his head slightly
Where was it coming from ?
He quickly checked himself, if that human had made him bleed she would suffer. Although he wasn't sure when she could have scratched him..
Nope, no blood on him.
His eyes went to Ailyth and the human still nothing. Creepy. If this was Rei playing a stupid joke on him he would be really irritated. He okay senses, but not that great when he was trying to find something.
"Shut up for a second."
He growled softly, his violet eyes grazing along the treeline looking for whatever might be lurking. Around here, there was always a possibility. --------------------------------------- Rei wasn't in that great of a mood. She had just gotten out of Tactical Advantage, and was also not in the greatest shape.
The strangest thing ?
She did not blame her opponent at all. After all they were fighting. She then remembered she hadn't even gotten his name..
She would get it eventually.
Right now, she needed Nai to fix her up again. She'd probably get scolded but she really didn't give a damn. She winced as the gash in her back started to bleed again.
She'd have to take the pain.
She didn't trust infirmaries, hospitals or anything of the sort. Ironic, since she loved white so much. They made the color heartless.
She stumbled into the clearing relief on her face as she saw Nai. She didn't bother stopping to catch her breath, running up to him and flinging her arms around him
"Where have you been , Nai !"
She poked him in the neck so the blood wouldn't affect him that much. If he couldn't smell it, the edge for him was gone. Her white outfit was ruined unforunately, her hair was jawline length, and she had bandages wrapped around her shoulder, her torso, and a couple other places, but she smiled none the less.
She always smiled...
