Lost, or not?

"Yeah, I can make a bridge." Leo nodded, stomping across the one she'd made. "But I wanted you to do it."

From there, he wandered up a thick forested slope until the trees cleared out slightly. It was hard for his little legs to make the climb, so he had to get down on all fours to climb up the steep incline, but once at the top, he stood up triumphantly.

"Look" He said, pointing ahead. "There's the castle!"

It was huge - not as big as Chimera Academy, but pretty huge. It was made of a beautiful white stone, and it's spires reached just as high into the air as the ancient trees that surrounded it. It might have been small for an actual castle, but it looked exactly like the real deal. There were flags on top of its spires, and a drawbridge and moat protecting it as if from some unexpected attack. There were no lights on inside the castle, but Leo knew there would be lights inside. He wandered over to the drawbridge, and easily he found the crank that pulled the bridge down.

"We go inside now?" He asked.

She sigh. Next time, he's gonna do it. She wanted to see his magic, too. Next, Leo pointed at a huge building. Finally they're there. There's a lot of insects biting her, but they soon ran away when she lower her body temparature. Leo asked if she wanted to go in now, so she nodded.

She walked over the bridge casually. When she's on the other side she waitied for Leo to come. She saw a huge door later on. This time she's gonna ask Leo. But only when he crossed the bridge. Or maybe he would figure out that Mizore wants Leo to open it...with his magic. It's probably stucked badly since it's old.

Leo trotted across the bridge, then came to the giant rusty handle. It was a huge rung, thicker than his arms, and it was made in the shape of a ring so large that he could wear it around his waist. Leo looked up at it, then, he pointed his finger.

"Open." He said. The huge ring yanked the door open, iron groaning like the roar of thunder. The doors shuddered as they moved, making a huge stumbling sound until they finally stopped moving as they hit the castle walls. Leo clapped his hands excitedly, then wandered inside.

"Look! Look at the stuff!"

There were rows and rows of bookshelves, all dusty and tattered from use, but despite all the shelves, there were very few books. Instead, the shelves all had little glass beakers on them, each with a different colored glowing cloud inside. Leo ran to pick up the first one. It was blue, and the glowing got brighter as he touched it.

"Watch! Watch!" He said, then he took the cork off the beaker. The glowing blue cloud rose up out of it, then, it started sparkling like a mini firework. It made a few musical notes while the fireworks sparked, then it was gone. Leo went to the next one.

"They make music!" He said, and he uncorked the next one.

Leo showed great enthusiasm to the bottles that make music. He open one after another, but stood there watching. It's really dusty in here. She walked to the bookshelf and grab a random book. When she opened it, it's just a bunch of ancient texts. How old is this book? She wondered where's the master of this castle.

"Do you like this school?"

She asked Leo. She find it like her old school. She thought it would change, but she didn't let her hopes up high, in result she's not seriously disappointed.

"Yeah." Leo said, opening another bottle. "People here are nice."

He probably would have said it for any school. Leo was happy wherever he was. He didn't know why. People were just as afraid of him as they were of Shirayuki, but for some reason he could overlook that. People that didn't like him or hurt him were just afraid. They didn't mean it, and he knew that. Leo listened to the music with a smile.

"Do you like it?"

"No." She replied immediatly and seems like she's not thinking about it. But heck, she thought about this over and over. People treats her the same as ever. So there. Her reason.

"Lucky you, then." She added.

Leo looked up at her, thinking it odd that she used those words.

"Lucky? Not lucky. I just have to be happy always, like mommy told me to."

He wandered off after that, picking up various things and then dropping them as if he grew bored with them. Eventually, he stumbled into a hidden staircase. It curled up to the ceiling of the castle like a huge stone snake, and as Leo looked up the center of it, he couldn't even see the top.

"oooooh!" He said, excited. "Look! Look! It goes up tall!"

Mizore heard about the staircase from Leo. She looked and it seemed...very tall. Knowing her, she wouldn't go up. But since she have her powers, she might as well use it. She created an ice piece thing. Enough for Leo and her to stand with. She stood on it and asked.

"Wanna ride?" She asked.

Leo nodded vigorously, jumping on the ice platform.

"We go up now!" He smiled.

"Huh.."

She made the ice thing move up forward. Slowly, that is, but not too slow. If the ice moved too fast, Leo might fall. Well if he's the same type as her then there's chance he won't fall. The stairs is really long and tall, so making it there would be a long time. Maybe.

Leo waited patiently while the ice platform went up, but, once it had reached the top, he instantly darted out into the new room. It was smaller than the previous place. Leo knew it had to be one of the spires in the great old castle, and as everyone knew, the spires always had the best stuff in them!

Leo ran around, looking for something interesting. Eventually, he found it.

"Look!" He called, wanting Shirayuki to come. On a small table in the corner of the room sat a large crystal ball. Leo jumped up on one of the chairs around the ball and stared deeply into it.

"Does it tell the future?" He asked, happily. He hadn't noticed, but the entire room was lined with more of the crystal spheres. The walls were covered in them, all on thickly packed bookshelves.

"Where's...the owner?"

She asked, wandering where the hell this owner is after getting and made the ice vanish. She walked to where Leo is. That sphere...maybe the owner is a...a...what do you call them again? Oh yeah, fortune teller? She's not really interesting in knowing her own future. Make things more fun that way.

"He's out." Leo said, dismissively. He knew that the owner wouldn't be here. He's busy right now.

Leo looked into the crystal ball, staring at it and pressing his fingers lightly up against the smooth cold surface. The ball began to glow, and he smiled with delight as clouds formed over the surface.

"It's working!"

He focused his mind, seeing into the ball. There was something about it... Something that mad him frown. The future was scary. Really, really scary. There were a lot of people that were mad and yelling, and he didn't know why.

Why were they all angry?

"Can you see it?" He asked. "Can you see the angry people?"

He looked closer, the light of the ball consuming his eyes, making them the same color. Something bad was going to happen. He knew that now.

She sigh. Now there's going to be a combat? She hated combat the most. Why? It's painful. She dislike to suffer for nothing. If its for her life then, sure. But heck, she. Hated. Combat. The. Most. She lifted up the ever so heavy crystal ball and throw it down to the floor. She's thinking that maybe the crystal ball is going to control him or something.

"If there's something happening, the I'll kill him off. I'm not gonna waste my time on that filthy trash."

Leo blinked, looking at the ball on the floor. It had chipped as Shirayuki threw it, and that had snapped Leo out of his trance.

He sat there silently for a moment, then looked up at Shirayuki.

"Do you think we'll be okay? From the bad thing?" Leo looked a little afraid. He was powerful, but he was also just a child. Sometimes, he even scared himself with what he could do. He saw something terrible happening, and he wasn't sure if it was just his imagination or he should really be worried.

He felt a little better as Shirayuki said she would kill the thing. He liked her. She would protect him! Leo didn't like fighting. He really didn't know how, but Shirayuki seemed like she could fight.

"I don't want the bad thing to get me..."
