The crowd was slow with their intentions. None of them moved more than a steady walk. It was haunting, to see them all so calm, so peaceful in their rural old outfits, yet so menacing. It was like a cruel imitation of an old style picture. All the townspeople and farmers and kids and women in bonnets all looking at them, all fixed intently as if to harm in the most terrible way. There was a circle forming fast, though not one of them rushed to form it. Only a small gap remained, straight ahead, straight towards Chimera Castle. That gap was filled with the only fast-moving being there.
A man, broad shouldered and with streaks of white in his rich brown hair and close-shaven beard. He had a respectable air about him. He wore clean cut clothes more akin to the modern age, and just quality enough to be seen as of higher standing than the rest of the townspeople. He seemed as if he'd be menacing in some way, but strangely enough he looked bored. Uninterested in what was happening. He cleared his throat, softly, and began what he thought the appropriate thing to say at that moment.
"You don't look human, do you? That's alright. I didn't expect any humans from Crane's school. He likes the other kinds of kids better. Ones more like him. They aren't quite as enjoyable as humans, but...." He shrugged, as if he couldn't help it and didn't care to.
"That's life, right? Gets you every time. Oh, don't worry about life, though. You won't be needing it much anymore."
He took a step back, away from the front of the crowd, and tipped his head toward the group of nonhumans.
"Kill them."

She noticed something different. She looked behind her and there are groups of people coming to their direction. She felt chill running down her spine when she saw the group. Are they zombies? Ghost? Vampires? Anyways, whatever they are, they look creepy enough to scare her. And she is not willing to take orders from Z.
She sighed. She looked back at Keryth. "I'm leaving here. Feels off." Then she walked to the exit of Colleger Town. Walking and then walk backwards to the exit facing Keryth. "You coming?" For some reason, she felt that even though she is planning to leave now, the group getting them is inevitable.

Illia gazed at the group of freaks surrounding them, terrified. Those two words enough to shatter her composure. She closed her eyes and inhaled sharply, trying to make her mind work. She wouldn't let these things get her. She wasn't going to die by there hands. When she opened her eyes again, her face was fixed in an angry snarl.
The mixture of fear and anger she felt was enough to cause her skin to fail, although she would have removed it willingly anyway. Two sets of eyes scanned the group as she desperately tried to figure out if it was best to attack or find an opening and flee.

Elle watched as the group began closing in on them. Horrified, she lost control of her skin and watched as her wings extended over the heads of the crowd. She pulled her wings close to her body quickly as she looked toward the others for a sign. She knew that she should just flap her wings and get out immediately, but fear had her rooted to the spot.

Caelin had been watching. And listening. There was something wrong going on here but she didn't know what. She had just gotten to the school, near literally. She had yet to explore and meet people but... there was something so off from the norm. Caelin rested against her post a distance from the group of teens and the mob surrounding them. Something caught her eyes about the group - one had wings. Her heart stopped. The mob was surroundd a group of people like her! She stroked her shoulderblade, fingering the skin that could easily die and expose her own firey feathers. Her bottom lip trembled, never before witnessing such an event. She didn't know whether to help, to run, or to watch. Her heart began to beat faster as the mob tightened.

Keryth was about to strike a conversation with Mizore when a man was in front of them, as well as a large group. He tilted his head slightly in confusion. Why was there a group surrounding them? He looked up at the strange man, and Keryth's eyes went wide at the two last words he said. He bit his lip, trying to keep his cool. He didn't want to lose composure and lose his skin.
Keryth got his hand ready, keeping it at a very hot temperature. This crowd didn't look safe, and he didn't notice several people losing their skins. He just kept his hand ready, waiting to catch the first attacker on fire. He had a small intention of answering Mizore, but ignored it. He didn't like violence, but he was ready.
He was scared, and probably showing it. He was holding his breath longer and longer, his heart beating rapidly. He took a couple steps back into his own small crowd, fearing for his life.

Z sunk low to the ground, loosening control of his skin as he did so. It wasn't that he lost control, but it was an instinctual response to danger - to show the enemy that he wasn't afraid.
He was terrified, almost enough to freeze him in place. But the enemy didn't know that.... right?
They were getting closer. Too close for comfort. When the strange man had said said those two, life-changing words, it was as if a switch was thrown.
The townspeople rushed on them, a collective roaring moan escaping their mouths. Z backed up and stumbled into Illia, but he was too nervous to say he was sorry. He was brave. He could do this.. He hunkered down, growling, a fiery froth dripping from his mouth. He didn't have to bother with intimidating them more though. In a second, a mass of huge black tendrils lashed down on the advancing horde, causing them to scream and falter.
The tendrils pulled back, out of sight. He couldn't see where they had come from, or where they had left to, but whatever they were, they had..... scared the horde into stopping?
All of the townspeople were looking to the buildings around them then, trying to find where the strange black tendrils had come from. The man in the back of the group did not like this. He clapped his hands together, whistling to the townspeople like they were a pack of mindless dogs.
"Hey! you idiots! Didn't you hear me? I said kill them!"
The townspeople seemed to calm down at his voice, and turning back to their prey, they began to move forward again.
"Good! Good!" The man took out a cigarette and lit it, muttering to himself as he did.
"Stupid monsters... Should have been a werewolf..."

Yup. She knew it. It's inevitable. The zombies-like group surrounded them before she knew it. What a pain. She shouldn't have come out. She is scared and angry at herself. Scared because she thought of the zombies eating them or being dead. Angry that she came out. Should she call for her sister, Rima? Rima taught her how to perform telepathy. She's not good at it, because she just learned.
She tried to remain calm. She shoot out an ice crystal on one of the zombies. Hopefully it aims and at least hurt it. It does seems that the ice got through the body. But they're right? They could be immortal.
She suddenly thought of something. The way Mr. Spider acted when Z mentioned a troll. Is that man who seems to controlling the zombies Crane? He could be. She'll just have to wait and see. First, she'll need to finish these trash.

Illia growled as the monsters began moving again. She momentarily wondered what those tendrils were, but worry pushed any thoughts out of her mind. It was then a quiet voice rose to her ears. The man that commanded them had muttered something about should have been werewolves? She shook her head, trying to figure out what he could have meant. Then it hit. Of course, she'd heard tales of werewolves and their mortal enemies... And that taste... These monsters...
Vampires, Strangely, the word had no effect on Illia. Only a cold acceptance.
She looked around at the group, desperately trying to recall those old superstitions about vampires. Surely some of them must really work, right?
"Anyone have a crucifix?" She asked the others, "Or... Some garlic?"

Elle shook her head in response to Illia's question. She felt as if she had forgotten how to speak. Her claws dug into the ground, her entire frame trembling and shaking the ground. She wondered why Illia would want a crucifix. Then she made the connection. Suddenly that awful scent made sense. So they were vampires! She noticed some of them had gotten very close to her tail so she made a sweeping motion over their heads and brought it close to her body. She was too terrified to touch them. She sidled closer to Illia and Z, hoping one of them would come up with a plan to save them all.

Keryth didn't have a crucifix. Or garlic. He didn't know what these odd creatures were. Then, he made a small connection in his head. Garlic, crucifix? Go along a lot with vampires. He saw Mizore shoot an ice crystal thingy at one of the vampires. He didn't want to fight, but he shaped fire he created into a kunai-like shape, and aimed at one of the vampires close to him.
Still maintaining his human form, he was beginning to lose control of his skin. He closed his eyes. This was going to be fun. His fire against the vampires. He had a bit of an advantage. Keryth didn't like using his powers often, because it drained him. He looked threateningly at the vampires in front of him, ready to strike.

Caeline heard somthing... crucifix. She fingered the cross around her neck and sighed. It had been with her since the beginning and it was made of pure silver. She didn't want to part with it now but that horribly ugly man seemed to have some sort of a mind control over the group. Caelin bit her lip and a small tear dripped down her cheek. She wiped it away angrily. How could she possibly be crying over a piece of jewelry at a time like this?!? She inched toward the crowd, trying to blend in the the mindless humans and pushed her way into the crowd. Her fingers quickly undid the snap and she held out her bare palm to the girl who asked. "Here's my cross." was all Caelin could seem to muster as she held out the only remaining token of a previous life.

White was enjoying this. Really, really enjoying it. Sure, he hated kids. Who didn't? They were loud and bratty and thought they owned the place. But that wasn't the point here. The point was, after centuries of Crane's bratty kids marching into his town and messing with his children, they were all aloud now to... well, bite back....
A little cliched, yes, but it was worth the chuckle and the inhale of the cinnamon flavored smoke from his cigarette. He flicked off a few of the ashes, watching through ominous old eyes as the children battered their way through his forces.
And the best part... Crane had practically asked for this! Bout time the little saint got a backbone and let him crack the whip. Everyone knew his kids were annoying. Everyone agreed some of them should be sacrificed to teach the rest a little lesson in the pecking order of all supernatural-kind. Just because they got into a ritzy school instantly made them all so special.
He took another draw, letting the smoke curl out his mouth as he smiled. That smile, along with his wonderful moment of self indulgence, was cut tragically short by a noise in his ear.
"This wasn't the deal, White..."
"Screw you." White muttered, looking around for the Professor. "You wanted them scared. Well, I'd say they're about ready to **** their pants."
He sighed, regaining a little of his polite composure.
"Look Daniel, I warned you about this. But my children. They really don't like to play with others. Especially not the snotty aristocratic kids from your school. I told you they'd want blood, and look what happened. They're getting it. I can't stop them now. You'll just have to suffer and live with it like the rest of us."
White tried to shake the feeling that he was being watched, but he just couldn't seem to. Vampires did not have "shaky" nerves. If they felt threatened, there was quite a good chance that they were in some way.
"What? White moaned, still looking for Crane. "I told you I couldn't help it. What, was that you with the cute magic stunt? You should know better. It'll only slow them down. My children are ravenous for vengeance, and a little scare tactic like that isn't going to stop-"
Another appearance of the black tendrils, but this time, they focused only one White, dragging him back away from the tumult and into the shade provided by the corner of two buildings. White wasn't surprised. Daniel liked to make a statement, liked to let people know he could be serious. He wasn't ever willing to be serious though. Not the way White saw it.
Daniel would always be the man that showed off, but never acted. He wasn't a fighter, after all.
White threw his cigarette on the ground as the tendrils released him, stomping it out and glaring at the figure that formed in front of him.
"Scary." White said, sarcastically. He peeked over Daniel's shoulder to make sure the fight was going well, then turned back to his old friend with a hint of sympathy.
"Look, I can see you're upset. how about we talk it out over a bottle of wine? Great stuff. Only two of 'em left in the world."
Daniel looked at him calmly, with that eerie aloofness that always showed in his innocent features.
"I want my kids back, White. I didn't sign up for this."
* * *
Z was fired up - literally. His lungs burned as he inhaled, spewing molten fire on the horde of angry vampires. His heart was racing, making him lose his concentration. But he really didn't need concentration to know how to aim forward and breathe fire with everything he had.
"Illia." Z said, flinching a little as the vampires got too close for comfort again. "I just want you to know... I wasn't joking about that buying you gems thing, but this place isn't where I'm going to get them. Not even you're worth wading through vampires!"
One grabbed hold of his tail, and he felt the pinch as it bit him. He flung his tail into a wall, the vampire letting go like a smashed bug.
"Ouch! They're like mosquitoes from hell!" Z curled his tail under his legs, hiding it from any other attacks. This wasn't going well...

A cross? So these zombies-like person is a vampire? No time to think of that, because as long as she take for thinking who the hell are they, the closer they come closer, and the fast they backed away until they look vulnerable together. She created a Cross with her ability. As long it is shaped like a cross, and you have faith in it, it is fine.
"Cross won't really work well if you have no faith for them." She said out of the blue. Holding one, doesn't know what to do with it. Keryth and Flynn will not be able to get it, cuz it would melt, and she's using her 1% of her power for it, so its easily melt-able. "Anyone want mine?" She asked. "Don't need it." She added.
The zombies-looking group got even closer. Concentrating, she froze one to death. She freeze one of it in an ice block. Then made the ice block cold. Colder than the south pole. So cold that smokes are coming down from the ice.

Z's words forced Illia to snap her head back to look at him, almost forgetting about the vampires. What had he just said? Was this really the proper time for jokes? Inexplicably, this made Illia angry. So, what if they die here? His last words would be you're not worth it? Why wasn't she worth it, anyway? It was a silly thought, but that's how Illia thinks. After all, no one's better than her.
"Well hey, I'm not about to throw myssself in front of the fangsss for you, either," She growled.
One of the beasts had gotten far too close to her. In a fluent motion, she lunged forward, sweeping it's feet out from under it. She then crouched low to the ground an let loose a ground-shaking roar.
