Xena ran to catch up with the others, she was just having trouble getting it all in. The wonderful paintings and and tapestry's, she looked up there was a huge mural, it was all so amazing. She then remembered she was in her true form, she repaired her skin and walked on, wondering what would lie ahead.

As Z walked down the creepy old hallways of the strange, subterranean castle, he imagined he should have felt really, really creeped out.
Well... he sort of was, but that wasn't the point!
The point was, in a place like this, at dark, knowing he was deliberately going further into the teacher-infested lounge, he almost felt like he should be freaking now. Like, total mental breakdown. Complete loss of marbles. Running around in circles crazy. Looking over his shoulder and seeing the kids behind did not comfort him. It was dark here, and he didn't like that.
"Light time!" He croaked, swinging out a huge flashlight. There, nice and bright and not loopy-making. Everything would be fine, now that he and the others could see. It wasn't like he was expecting anyone to be in the halls at this hour anyways. It was the dead of night!
Walking along, feeling only a bit better, it did not surprise him then what happened next.
"Holly crap!" He screamed, slapping a hand over his mouth to stifle himself at the last second.
What..... What the hell.... was that....?

Illia was forced to stifle a yawn as she continued down the hall. Hell, it was late and she was getting bored with the same scenery. A creepy, old, sunken castle was only cool for so long. Now, the novelty was beginning to wear thin.
She winced slightly at the new light source and averted her eyes, continuing to look directly in front of her. By this time she almost wished that something would happen.
At that moment, something in front of her caught her eyes. Startled, she stumbled back a few steps.
***
Trailing near the back of the group, Seth barely offered a glance to her surroundings. A simple castle. A simple, sunken castle. Nothing interesting in the least. Even the vivid tapestries were unable to hold her interest.
Sighing, she turned to look toward the front of the group. Despite how far back she was, she was still able to see when a few of them stopped. Nothing interesting, most likely, but she might as well take a look. After all, she was heading in that direction anyway.

There was so much tension all bottled up inside of Z that the flashlight went flying somewhere back into the crowd of kids, the light that was his only source of sight now lost to him.
Panicking, rummaging around in his bag, he finally was able to drag out a smaller, less conspicuous flashlight. One with less light, but enough to see.
Always come prepared.
The beam of light shaking, and him trying to get his arm to straighten out, he could only just make out the rare, beastly form of the monster in front of him. Practically strangling his flashlight had with his free one, he was able ot get the shaking under control. And there, in the center of the old, cathedral styled hallway, amongst the Gothic architecture and looming, echoing endless tile and stone, stood a hamster.
.....Hamster......?
"Oh..." Z bent down, looking at the cute little thing, rubbing its ears in that funny hamster way and then quivering its whiskers with a heart melting quality, and all that pent up tension just vanished. "Look Illia! It's not going to kill us!" He smiled.* * *
Feeling his muscles stiffen, his senses sharpen, Le Cyll could not help but let out a curling whine. A purely Canine trait, as it expressed his confusion and exasperation over the matter at hand. That little furry rat... Didn't smell like a rat. It smelled like this intolerably boring place.

"Ah... What...?"
Gazing at the little creature at their feet, Illia could only blink in confusion. A... Hamster? What would a hamster be doing here? This... Was strange, to say the least. Perhaps one of the teachers had kept it as a pet?
Her confusion failing to subside, Illia bent down to get a better look at the creature, keeping a safe distance from it. This just wasn't right. Something was very wrong. She was unable to determine just what that something was, but she knew it was there.
This hamster... This adorable, little rodent only served to heighten her tension. [/blockquote]

As Xena was toddling along the corridor, she realized that the rest of the group had come to a stop, and she realized that they were all looking down to the ground. And then she looked down as well just to see a small hamster, sitting on the ground.
It looked up at her its eyes beaming. But still something didn't feel right about it. It was just two perfect... And really a hamster? It wouldn't be in this place. It must be dangerous in some way i mean it wouldn't just be here, sitting there it could transform into something evil and nasty. She decided to speak up, she didn't want anyone to get hurt.
"Umm guys, I don't know about this little thing. Its just ummm a little two odd.... I mean a uh hamster...." Xena said this rather loud, despite her lack of confidence. "It could be Evil!.... I mean you never know. Hamsters could be evil...." She didn't know what else to say, I mean how could you say that a little hamster wanted to kill you? It didn't happen often.

"Awww! It's so cute!" Fiona shouted excitedly, looking down at the cute little hamster in front of Z. The poor thing nearly toppled over from the sound of her shouting, but surprisingly it didn't run off in fear as most normal hamsters would have done.
"Oh! Oops!" Fiona covered her mouth, realizing that this was suppose to be a covert operation and that she wasn't suppose to be shouting at hamsters. "Sorry..."
She had to wonder why a hamster was wandering around the underground corridors though... Was it a teacher's pet? Did it escape from a cage or something? Hamsters were pretty notorius for being tiny little escape artists, she knew that from personal experience, so it wouldn't be surprising to her if he did run away from its owner!
Poor little guy, I bet he's hungry... Fiona came up a little closer to the rodent and kneeled down closely, staring at it with wide eyes. It seemed to be very use to being around humans (or beings much like herself anyway), so fearless that it didn't even scurry off into the darkness when she approached it. Instead, the little hamster stared back up at her with beady black eyes, ears twitching curiously, as though it were observing her as well... Oh!!
Then it hit her, she completely forgot that she had snuck some trail mix into her inner jacket's pocket! Maybe the hamster would like to eat something from that?
She reached into her pocked and pulled out a small clear bag with unsalted peanuts, sunflower seeds, cashews, and other assorted goodies. She would think that a hamster would very much enjoy a sunflower seed, so she pulled one of those out and offered the seed to the hamster.
"Here you go!"

Elle continued quickly down the hall, hugging her arms tightly around her body. She didn't dare fall behind the main group and she didn't dare risk not looking back every 5 minutes. Something was going to jump out and attack them, she just knew it!
It was then she noticed that several people had stopped up ahead. Nervous, her quick steps became slow and forced. She didn't want to see what they were looking at, but she kept moving forward anyway.
However, she wasn't expecting to see what she saw when she stopped near the front of the group. It was a... Hamster? It wasn't a monster, or anything dangerous like that? Just a hamster?
She let out a deep sigh of relief, however, that relief was short lived as she heard someone mention something about evil hamsters.
Gasping, she stumbled backwards, keeping her eyes on the possibly demonic, little rat.

A hamster... He couldn't say he was fond of the little rats himself. They did not even look worth the effort to swallow... There was so little meat on the thing.
Still, when confronted with a risk in such an operation, wouldn't it be prudent to consider this kind of distraction inexcusable? It only made sense... This thing was slowing the mission, and he did want to get this over with before the real monsters arrived.
"I say we kill it." The wolf pronounced with a shrug. He'd already slipped out a knife, and was inching closer to the little rodent as he spoke.
Interestingly, it did not find him a threat. It just sat there, its adorable little eyes peering into his. It looked so small, so defenseless, so incapable of doing anything but accepting its inevitable fate. And the way it innocently took the sunflower seeds from the girl's hand and stuffed them into its little cheeks only heightened its cuteness. The poor little thing...
He'd squish it nice and quick so it didn't have time to feel its little bones being crushed.

"What, heyyyy, no!" Fiona gasped at the suggestion. Kill the hamster? How could anyone want to kill such a cute little thing!? She put her hands outward onto the floor in front of the creature, and it surprisingly climbed up unto her palms with no fear. He was so smart and brave as well! How could anyone think he was bad!
Fiona held the hamster close to her chest as a gesture to shield him away from any harm, and turned to the guy who said that with a glare. She thought the boy was joking, with all the strange comments about the rodent being evil and all, but clearly by the look on his face he seemed to be dead serious. Wow! What a meanie!
"Hm well, you know this hamster might be good too! Maybe it could help us out somehow?" Fiona said outloud, hoping to divert the idea of it being an evil critter. She couldn't think it would be, it was far to cute and defenseless!

Ailyth had been following the group in silence. A strange occurrence for the girl. She had been far too preoccupied with the cool new scenery to bother to speak to anyone. I mean, how many times would someone get the chance to explore a creepy, old, sunken castle? She was pretty sure that it was rare.
However, when the group stopped, Ailyth was forced to focus on the matter at hand. And that matter happened to be a... Hamster?
Interested, Ailyth forced her way to the front of the group just as she heard talk about killing the creature.
"What?!" She nearly shouted, turning to face the person who had suggested it. The dog. Surprise, surprise. "How could you... How could you?!"
Scowling at the dog, she turned toward the hamster now in some girl's hands. All her anger seemed to melt away as she watched the adorable, little hamster do adorable, little hamster things. Smiling, she reached out to scratch it's cute, little hamster ears.
*** Her initial confusing having subsided, Illia was able to pick up the conversations going on around her. Arguments about evil hamsters and whether or not to kill the creature... Well, they'd better come up with an answer quickly. Hm, the question was, will the animal be a danger to their mission?
"Ah... No, he's right. Just get rid of the thing. It'll only distract us."
Certainly, it didn't seem evil. However, it was still causing a disturbance. It was already wasting their valuable time! Some people just had to stop to croon over the glorified rat. Killing it would be the simpler, quicker option.[/blockquote]

Le Cyll stared blankly at the girl, too annoyed to force the usual spark of life into his gaze, too unmotivated to actually grab it from her hands. What a conundrum.
"Don't make this difficult. The thing is obviously blocking progress."
He said it as if he was mad at a paperclip being placed on his school desk, not like an innocent life - even if it was that of a rat - was in jeopardy. Already, he was beginning to feign interest in the life or death of this thing. It smelled wrong, but that did not necessarily imply that it was evil, just that it stank of something different than rat. For all he knew, this thing could have just been one of the teachers' and it had escaped somehow. For all he knew it could be the very monster he so waited to meet. The point being in all of this that he did not give a damn about the hamster, nor any girl that was swayed by its cuteness.
He wanted to move on, find this man that hid such secrets. That was interesting, absolutely not this. Coming to this conclusion, he held up the knife as if to suggest something, the edge the same one he'd used earlier to snap the clavicle of another such girl that stood in his way, and long before that to skin and kill various other unnameable creatures he'd deemed so worthy.
"Stay here with it, if you want, but it doesn't come with us. We cannot take that chance."

Together still the three walked a bit behind the others, maybe a few feet or so. Once they coght up the noticed the crowd fussing over something. Skyler made his way through with Nami behind him. Areon still reluctantly following. The found all the tension and fuss was over some.....hamster??? Skyler raised an eyeberow Nami striding towards the girl holding the little creature accidentaly bumping into Le Cyll. "Sorry! Aww!!! Soo cute!!! Why can't we keep he looks harmless!" Nami stated when she heard Le Cyll's disapproval of the animal.

Fiona smiled and held out the hamster cheerfully to the girls who came over, encouraging them to pet it.
It was a relief to see that she wasn't the only one in the group who didn't want to harm him. He was so cute and innocent, just a regular hamster who loved stuffing sunflower seeds into his cheeks.
Really, she couldn't believe that killing the hamster would even be a viable option here!
"Aww but what did the hamster ever do to you guys?" Fiona pouted. She kept hold of the hamster, scared that it was going to be shanked by that one guy with the knife... How awful would that be!
Fiona sighed, looking over at Mister Knife-Wielder himself. She had to admit that what he was saying was true; the little hamster was slowing down progress of the raid by stirring up arguments between everyone. She wouldn't object to letting him go, but she wanted to make sure that everyone would leave him alone at least.
"Alright, alright, I'll let him go as long as everyone promises not to hurt him... 'Kay?"

"Fine then."
He'd step on the rat when this girl wasn't looking. She obviously couldn't be trusted to leave it alone, nor could the others that sided with her.
This was a group, a team effort, not a divided people. He did not need dissention to spread and cause complications. Better they be united under the freedom of such distractions than driven apart by a rodent.
Before he could further his many and compelling reasons for killing this rat though, he was distracted by something else. Another distraction, and this one more distracting than the first.
There were dark things moving on the floors.
"Oh..." He looked down, startled, nearly dropping his precious hunting knife. Revolting! They were all over his nice clean shoes!
So disgusted by whatever it was these things were, he immediately shifted his attention away from the minor dilemmas and focused on the new, more prominent one. The knife flicked form his hand, sticking into the writhing mass of black bodies. There was a bit of some kind of substance he could only imagine was blood - although it was green in color - and an ear piercing screech echoed down the halls.
Now, whether or not the others heard this screech was questionable. He was a canine. He could hear many high pitched things, far above the range of human and some other species' hearing. For all he knew, they had all heard it, but to him, it was crippling, and that was all he could bring himself care about at the moment.
Clutching his ears, he nearly fell to the floor.
He did not want to kill the hamster anymore. He'd rather kill all these other... things.
