Right when she was in the middle of shoving some sort of crab-meat hors d'oeuvre into her mouth, Amy heard footsteps beside her, followed by a short greeting. Looking up she immediately recognized the girl as Seth. They met briefly in the garden awhile ago.
Normally, she would have happily returned the greeting, however, all the food in her mouth prevented that from happening. It was around that time when Amy realized that she never liked crab meat.
Frowning, she looked around frantically for a garbage can. Nothing. What the heck! What kind of place didn't have garbage cans? Even the ritziest restraunts had them... Wasn't this a health code violation or something?
Defeated, she reached for a pretty, embroidered napkin instead and spit the food into that. Crumpling the tissue into a ball, she nonchallantly let it drop to the floor.
"Hi! I remember you!" She smiled at the girl, glad to finally be rid of that awful tasting food, "Seth, right? What's up?"
---
Elle watched Illia until she disappeared among the crowd of people. It must be nice to be able to walk around so freely like that. It was like an invisible string was holding her back. It was always like that... Well, at least she didn't have to stand by herself this time.
Finally feeling more content with the situation, she smiled.
"Yes... We're in the same grade, and we hang out somethines."
There. That explenation made her almost seem normal. Satisfied, she leaned back against the table. She was starting to feel more confident. Perhaps too confident.
As she brought back her foot, it didn't land on the nice, smooth floor like it was supposed to. Instead, it fell upon a small object. A small object that was able to roll. And roll it did, bringing her foot with it and sending her crashing to the floor.
Pushing herself up, she avoided people's gazes, blushing and struggling to hold onto her skin. She then looked up to inspect her ankle. It looked like she twisted it. It hurt, but it wasn't too bad. The humiliation she felt was much worse.
Looking up, she searched for the item that caused her fall, finding it right beside her foot. Curious, she reached forward and picked it up. It was just a small, golden ball. And quite pretty at that. Perhaps it was a piece of jewelry that fell off of someone's outfit?
Whatever it was, she liked it, and she held it tightly in her hand as she scrambled to her feet.

Maria looked at Illia, admiring herself. Realizing it's what Illia always did, she turned back, not wanting to insult for today. She sighed. Why are there people like her? And here she thought, those people are only from cartoons, or animations or even drama. It's like the society is falling apart due to people like her, who values money more than human heart. Well, at least there are some people like Z.
Maria, stubborn as usual, refused to get close to Illia, since she knew she's going to screw the couple's night out. Maria's here for the food. At least that's just an excuse. She just wanted to see how normal people act in a social party, or a ball. Well, it's pretty same except they're not high classed people. Some are. But screw that. She needs to think of an excuse to let Z and Illia be alone, so that she won't have to hear any negative comments. It's hard to escape from negative comments though, sometimes, her mind reading ability switched on on it's own, thanks to her alters. She shook her head and looked at Z with a determine face.
"Eh, never mind! I think there's going to be a small orchestra or something so... " She stopped. What next? She then thought of another excuse to match with it. "So I wanna get in the front row to see for myself!" She said while unknowingly raising her hand. Even Z sometimes said she acted more mature than what she looked like, sometimes her child instincts popped out on its own which makes her raising her hand like that.
Realizing she's raising her hand, she accidentally let out a "I'm doomed" face and slowly made her hand down. If anyone saw that, it's going to be really embarrassing. After getting over that embarrassing scene, she looked at Z with a somewhat childish grin. "So you go back with Illia! I'm pretty sure she needs you right now!" That never ending grin just got bigger and bigger thanks to her acting classes. She let go of her hand, assuming Z would do so. Z might be going to be with Illia all the time, so she have to find something fun to do in this boring ball. Oh yeah, the food.
She turned around with her same usual smile and walked to the tables and chairs prepared. Not many things happened, but it feels like she's been through a lot today. She got another orange juice and sips on it while she watches the crowd having fun innocently. It would be fun if she has a partner, but she's young, so her time will come. Well, watching the two couples might be a bit interesting since Illia's kind of a funny person with a funny personality. She hoped it would get interesting... a fight perhaps? Nah, Z would get hurt, so she wouldn't that. Z's her only friend around here, so it's crucial for her to stay back and not spoil his night.

As she watched the human, Seth was struggling to keep the look of utter disinterest off of her face. Finally, she decided that it would be easier to simply look away. And so, she did, turning her attention to the food before her, and looking at the plates seemingly for the first time. Before her, there was a plate piled with small pastry-type items. They smelled of crab meat. So that was what she had just eaten. Actually, she didn't recall what they had tasted like at all. She didn't care much.
"Oh, not much," She said in response to the human's question, "I'm just here to see what all the fuss was about."
A simple answer. One that she was certain would satisfy the human.
Once again, she reached out and picked up another pastry, placing it into her mouth and chewing more slowly this time. Turning around, she put on a look of interest as she watched the other creatures dance and twirl across the floor. She recognized quite a few of them, though she had already recognized them by their scent by now.
Swallowing, she then realized that she had forgotten to pay attention to what the pastry had tasted like. Well, it didn't matter anyway. She had never cared for food. It's only purpose was to sustain you. Making it look nicer or taste better was a stupid task. However, there wasn't much in this world that didn't have an air of stupidity about it.

Ivan only nodded at Elle's words. Of course she'd give a response like that. It was a normal response. A normal response, though the girl was far from normal, wasn't she? And so, rather than give another meaningless response, Ivan settled on simply watching a dark, somber-looking young woman glide across the floor to speak with another girl. Something told him that no good could come from that conversation, of course.
At least Elle seemed to be more comfortable now, though how long could that last? Not long, apparently. She seemed to be somewhat danger prone, the poor girl, crashing to the floor like that. Valiantly, he helped her to her feet.
"Careful now... Are you alright?"
As he helped her stand up, Ivan noticed that she held the source of her trouble tightly in her hand. Leaning closer, he noticed what appeared to be a small, golden ball. Strange, indeed. It wasn't strange that there was gold in a place as elegant as this. It was strange that he couldn't tell what it was from.
Certainly, none of the decorations consisted of anything like the small item. A piece of jewelry, then? No, he hadn't seen anyone wearing anything similar to it. Besides, there wasn't any trace that it had fallen off of a necklace or whatnot. It was completely smooth and solid.
Perhaps someone else knew what it was?
"That... What do you suppose it is?" He asked Elle.
He wasn't expecting an enlightening response, of course. She looked just as confused as he was. No matter. There were other people he could ask. This item seemed to have an aura of importance about it, and so he was sure he'd get all the answers he needed soon enough. Yes, he'd have to bring this up next time they meet.

Z looked at Maria strangely, trying to see what she meant by that.
Was she really leaving him? Just like that? She couldn't have wanted to... She needed a friend. Even though she was mature, she was still just a kid, and kids needed friends to hang out with. Was she doing this to be nice to him? When he saw her come up with a couple of excuses, he smiled to himself.
Thank you. He thought, happily. He didn't mind Maria, and he was willing to compromise to keep her around, but she was doing something nice for him now, and he would respect that.
He promised himself to check on her constantly throughout the ball, and talk to her, and see if he could find her a group of people to hang out with. It sounded like a lot, but it was about time someone did something for the people of this world who were so nice and didn't even ask for anything in return.
Even is she was a little kid, she knew the value of being nice. That was more than could be said for some people here.
He let her hand go so she could go off and see her orchestra. Then, taking one look back at her, he trotted over to Illia.
"Hey, sorry I was gone." He hopes she wasn't annoyed with him. She could be kind of demanding. Well, it was nice to at east be thought of as someone who could live up to such high standards, so he guessed it was Illia's version of a compliment.
Z had greeted her by swiping two glasses of some fizzy stuff from a table he'd passed, but already, he was wondering how he could get Maria to hang out with someone.
He knew Fio, and he knew Squirt. They were both super nice, and would probably love Maria. Now if only he could find them...
* * * So here he is, the wonderfully dashing devil that he was, playing who can hold out the longest without smashing someone's face in with this hot chick he met yesterday, when suddenly, it happened.
Someone had his anchor.
It's funny, the way he knew. He always did know how his anchor was doing. You could always kinda tell if the very reason you existed in a plane of existence was in trouble or not, and the reason wasn't from any funny knowledge he had of things higher up.
He had a lot of knowledge of things higher up, but that wasn't important right now.
No, the reason he could tell his anchor had been found was because it friggin' hurt!
Think about someone holding your heart in their hands, and somehow, some way you being completely fine with this. Okay, now think about what would happen if they started squeezing your heart to a mushy, bloody pulp. It ain't a comfy feeling, and he was having it right now. Usually, he would just feel empty inside. Poor charming Coyle would have a hole in his chest where his heart should be, but the anesthetics wouldn't have worn off at this point, so the only thing he can feel is that hollow, echoing void that he knew would eventually start to throb.
That was bad enough, but this?! He was supposed to find it! He was! And now, some mortal somewhere had him by the leash, and what had he been doing while this happened? Dancing. He'd been out at the ball!
Still smiling, trying not to twitch as he felt that leash tighten around his neck, he looked cheerily at Sunshine.
Ehehehe.... I have to check on something."
Before she could react, he disentangled himself from her, and was darting around the room, trying to feel it.
Where were they? Where?! They were in this room, he could tell that much, but where? Where? He needed to know, dammit. This wasn't cool anymore.
And then he saw her. That girl. Right there. The one who'd just tripped over his precious anchor. She had it!
"Crapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrapcrap."
He blinked, trying to get a read on her. Boring, quiet, nervous as one of those little yappy dogs and a painfully low self esteem to boot. She wasn't bad as far as potential masters went, but she was still holding his anchor, and that was a real relationship killer. He finally ecided he didn't like her. Not one bit.
Her cheezy monkey-boy boyfriend took a look at his anchor, the molten gold Coyle could clearly see, his eyes sparkling, and a thought passed through his head. Coyle saw it. He could see that little mortal thinking, and he didn't like the way he did it.
Mortals that pretended they could think bugged him, because everyone knew a mortal's thought was about as accurate as a weatherman's forecast. Not only was it bias, but it was also from a limited point of view. Stupid, limited mortals. Aside from the whole tangibility thing, he really did hate this place. And the tangibility was great. He could actually touch things here.
Well what was he going to do now? He knew for a fact that Sunshine didn't nave his anchor now. He didn't need her anymore. But... he couldn't do anything about this now.
No. Not yet. He saw a better time. Tonight would have its own fun little surprises in store. Tonight was a bad time. He'd check the predictions for tomorrow, and see how they turned out, but today was absolutely out.
If he'd had his tentacles right now, he would have made them do a creepy slithery motion. This wasn't fun anymore...

((OOC: Just to make this understandable, this is directed to Arrow's char, Shishi. ^^ Hopefully I described your character alright! Oh and Dervish's post will be up soon...))
------------
Fiona could see so many familiar faces gathered around the ballroom now, chatting pleasantly with friends and other classmates. Everyone looked so cheerful, having such a good time talking with each other and enjoying the ball. It made her really happy to see that.
But Fiona noticed that there was one person, a younger girl, standing off in the far corner of the ballroom all alone. She had long silvery hair flowing past her shoulder, loosely curled in somewhat of a bouncy style. She was also wearing an eye-catching ensemble; a beautiful blue strapless dress tied with a large black bow around her waist. Fiona tilted her head, staring at the girl inquisitively. She didn't seem to be familiar to her, and she looked a bit awkward standing there all alone.
Is she new to this school? The lyrebird wondered.
"Hey Dervy, do you know her?" Fiona pointed towards the girl, and he shrugged.
"No."
"Ohh... Let's go talk to her anyway! She looks kinda lonely!" Fiona yanked on Dervish's arm and he nearly fell forward from her sudden unexpected pulling.
"W-wait." Dervish squeeked. Fiona abruptly stopped tugging on his arm and she turned towards him, puzzled. "I'll catch up with you later. I'm going to um, go get some snacks for us, okay?"
"Oh sure that's a good idea!" Fiona replied to Dervish with a nod and immediately he jumped out of her grasp and made a mad dash for the food table. She stood there gaping at him.
Wow he must have been really hungry...
As her date rushed off to go get some food, Fiona turned back towards the girl in the blue dress and waved at her cheerfully, hoping to get her attention. She had to weave through the groups of students chatting on the dance floor in order to get to her.
"Heya!" Fiona greeted the girl cheerfully. "I saw you from the other side of the dance floor! I love your dress!"

Areon looked at the older student studying him a bit as well just for second. An eyebrow raised slightly yet quickly receding back to his normal bored expression. So Nami has made yet another acquaintance. So quickly. Amazing. He honestly didn’t find it impossible for to know everyone in this academy by the end of the year. The social bunny that she is it could be quite an easy task. Yet she struggled with names as she had so wonderfully demonstrated while introducing them. Luckly, the stranger gave his name out almost immediately. "Nice to finally meet you, Areon." He said. "I am Le Cyll."
Areon lazily nodded to acknowledge him “Hmph.” Is all he gave back.
Finally meet you? How long has Nami known the guy? Areon for sure has never seen him around. Or maybe it just came to the fact he never noticed him around. O well. Whatever.

Finally, the lighting was just perfect. The way it bounced off of her jewelry and illuminated her entire figure... She looked like a goddess, she just knew it. Even more than usual. It was simply perfect.
So far the entire night was perfect, surprisingly. And here she'd thought that it would start and end in disaster... Well, the night was still young, and she wasn't ruling out some sort of attack... And not just from the vampires, but also possibly from the students. Honestly, some of these people needed to be on a leash.
But whatever. She wasn't about to get dragged into a fight tonight.
Hearing a voice behind her, she spun around, smiling widely at Z and happily accepting the drink that he offered.
"Oh, no worries!" She replied, still smiling.
Illia took a sip of her drink, leaning back slightly against Z's chest. It was a good night indeed. After all, it had been awhile since she had been this happy. Gosh, she couldn't even remember when that time was. A long time ago, she knew that much. Long before she came to this school. But, then again, it had been a long while since she had managed to get something this nice. She was thinking of the necklace, of course.
It was a nice feeling, happiness. Maybe this feeling would stay with her? Probably not, but a girl can dream.
***
The small object was important, no doubt. Maybe even... Powerful. But then why was it powerful? What was it for. Ivan already knew that the item had some significance, but he wasn't sure what that significance was. He didn't like not knowing.
Well... That didn't matter. He was certain that he'd have his answers soon enough. He'd just have to be patient.
At that moment, he felt a strange sensation. It was that same omniscient sensation you felt when someone was watching you. He didn't care to be stared at. It was quite rude. He looked up to find the source of his annoyance, not having to look far as he immediately locked onto a peculiar creature across the room.
He wasn't at all like the other students. There was just something off about him. Perhaps a closer analysis would yield some answers. Well, that would have to wait for another time. Right now, Ivan was more interested at the way he was watching Elle. So he had some connection to that object, did he?
Well, he didn't like that ravenous look. Not at all. As he watched the creature continue to stare at Elle, all traces of courtesy drained from his face, leaving a threatening glare. He reached over to grab the girl by the elbow and proceeded to pull her aside. As he spun around to face her, he had replaced his look of calm benevolence.
If this object was really that important...
"My dear," He began, the sides of his mouth twitching up into a smile, "I wonder... If you could let me hold onto that for a short while? Just until we find out what it is."
Yes, if it was really that important, he didn't trust it in the hands of someone as easily manipulated as Elle. The way that creature looked at the object... He wasn't about to let it fall into his hands. Actually, he'd rather like to have that for himself. Well, perhaps not for himself per se...

((OOC: Don't worry, you described her just fine! ^^))Shishi watched as more people poured in as the night dragged on. She desperately wished she wouldn't be noticed by anyone, but due to her noticeable dress, Shishi was bound to catch someone's eyes. It was only a matter of time. And lo and behold, someone did notice her. Shishi didn't recognize this girl so she ruled out that they were in the same class together. "Upperclassmen maybe?" she questioned herself. She wasn't sure but she was confident that the girl was interested in talking to her.
As the girl approached Shishi became nervous once more. She worried that she would make a fool of herself and hoped that everything would go smoothly. Shishi smiled in return for the girl's greeting and realized that making friends here won't be that hard after all, especially if they are all as friendly as this one. "Um, hi," Shishi replied. She smiled as the girl complimented her dress. "Thanks for the compliment. I like yours too. Your hair goes good with it," she continued. "I'm Shishi. It's nice to meet you," she said.

Amy nodded enthusiatically at Seth's explenation. It sounded like she didn't like dances too much, but that was understandable. Especially when ou didn't have a date. Oh! She didn't have a date either! At least Amy wasn't the only one.
"That's cool! I'm here for the same reasons... More or less."
Happily, Amy looked around the rest of the room. She was glad that she knew one person here, at least... Maybe there were others? Probably not. She didn't know many people here. Actually, she did recognize a few people... Like that littlew girl who claimed she could read minds... And that older girl who scolded her was there too.
Maybe she should make friends with one of them? Well, the older girls looked like she was with her date... And she didn't want to intrude. The little girl looked kinda lonely though. Maybe she should go say hi to her?
But then she couldn't leave Seth alone. She was probably lonely too. Oh, well. She turned and picked up several more pieces of food from the table, staying away from the seafood.
"So what'cha gonna do now? Are you here with friends?"
---
Elle continued to stare at the pretty little object in her hand, completely oblivious to anything that was going on around her. Although, vaguely, she heard a voice in her ear. What was this? Wasn't it jewelry? Actually... She wasn't so sure of that anymore.
"I... Don't know..." She said without looking up.
It wasn't long after that, that she felt a tug on her arm. Startled, she allowed herself to be towed along. It wasn't like she had much of a choice, anyway. He was pretty strong.
She stared up at Ivan through widened eyes as he asked about holding onto the item for her. But why did he want it? It was just a little, gold ball...
"I... Um, can I... I'd actually like to keep it myself..."
Her voice got quieter with every word as she shrank back, away from his intimidating figure. There was something... Just a little different about him now. He wasn't like this in the meadow or the library. And all over a golden ball? Maybe it was important. All the more reason to keep it. Yes, she decided she was going to hold onto it herself... Or, at least she'd try to. She couldn't make any promises, even to herself. People were intimidating!i687.photobucket.com/albums/vv235/Illia_the_Bat/Chimera Academy/egg.gif[/img]

Coyle couldn't help but notice as the monkey-boy looked his way. There was something about him, something that would absolutely not remain unknown in Coyle's vision.
Unlike some people, who were happy with just a glimpse of the situation they were in, Coyle believed in a more strict, controlling kind of style. He would know everything - had to know everything - about this girl and this man. Luckily for him, he could do that. He could to that very easily.
He moved so no one in the crowd could see him as he disappeared, using his temporal claws to move to a dimension right above mortal sight. He laughed, now unheard by anyone lower than he was. It was so easy to avoid being seen! All he had to do was move up a dimension, and that was the end of it.
Unless someone here had inter dimensional guard dogs around them, he wouldn't be noticed!
Poking around in his new dimension, Coyle swerved through mater and air alike. He noticed people had a lot of squishy things called organs on the inside of them, and he kind of wondered why. Did they really need spines to keep from slouching that badly? Some of the knuckle draggers in here weren't using them very well if they were.
Colye poked around until he got all the way up to the two. Monkey-bo had turned away, and was talking to the quiet one about keeping his-
Hell no! Coyle's tail lashed, his green eyes glaring at the man. He wanted to screw the poor girl over and take possession of the anchor for himself! He wasn't going to deal with army commando here. He wanted powder puff, if anything. At least she looked young, impressionable, and stupid enough to bend to his will. The other one he'd have to up his game for!
Luckily, the impressionable one spoke up against it. Ahhhhh, he could breathe easier. Coyle looked back at the man, teeth jagged and glinting as he grinned.
"Sucks for you, buddy. She's smarter than the average prom date."
As happy a thing as seeing commando here get rejected, Coyle couldn't help but wonder. Would he try again? Yeeeeesssss. He would. Coyle prodded the man's head with one of his tentacles, and a flash of information came to him.
Well then! He was more fun than he let on...
"Watch out for this one, honey" Coyle laughed, as if the girl could hear him "he's got a dirty little secret."
With that, he sat down, snagging a crab cake thingy from the table next to him and swallowing it in one bite. Hmmm. Those were good. Coyle's head turned, ears perked at the funny pink cakes. He grabbed another with his tentacles, popping it into his mouth. It would be pretty funny if someone saw him doing this. Hehehe... floating snack foods. He'd have to try that one.
* * * If Le Cyll actually went on first impressions, he might have dismissed this creature as incompetent and disrespectful. One thing was clear, he did not have the wonderful manners that Nami did. Sad, really. The polite ones always were more palatable.
Normally, the conversation would end there. Le Cyll did not talk, though he was extremely well spoken if given the inclination. However, unlike most other people, the creatures he sought often were very... quiet, you could say. They seemed almost incapable of providing any real social prowess, which again was a tragedy. It would be nice to find someone as charming as him.
Well, almost as charming.
Le Cyll was always forced - in these situations only - to provide the driving force for any dialogue. Normally he would do such a thing with the grudging knowledge that it was a chore. He did not like to socialize himself, and he understood the plight of people like him. However, with people like him - with these self proclaimed monsters that he so sought - this burden of a chore vanished.
Indeed, he could be very talkative, because speaking to these people only meant he would be chatting with them later on, somewhere nice and dark and secluded, were he could be perfectly frank of his intentions.
"The art of speech is lost on you, I see." The Kludde smiled, keeping the ravenous nature of a starving dog out of his expression.
Come to think of it, he was starving. He swiped an appetizer from a nearby table.

"Awww, wow, thank you!" Fiona replied to Shishi with a giggle. She honestly felt like she was a bit under dressed compared to all the other girls at the dance, so receiving a compliment on her outfit was a bit of a pleasant surprise to her.
Fiona still had to say that Shishi's dress was perhaps the most gorgeous one in the whole room though. It was just so pretty! She particularly loved the large black bow tied around her waist, it reminded her closely of the obi of a Japanese kimono. She found it to be really creative!
"It's really nice to meet you too! My name's Fiona!" The lyrebird extended her hand outward politely as a gesture to shake hands. "Are you new by the way? I don't believe I've seen you around the school..."
Fiona smiled cheerfully at the girl, she seemed so nice!
----------------------
Dervish sighed warily as he jogged off towards the food table. He felt bad for leaving Fiona behind, but he just couldn't keep up with that girl. It wasn't that he thought that she was a bad person or anything, it's just that... He felt incredibly awkward around her. He had never met anyone as spontaneous and bubbly as she was.
And just for the fact that he was rather shy around all the girls in the school didn't help either... He silently cursed himself for that.
Once Dervish arrived at the food table, he eyed all the food carefully. There were so many h'orderves to choose from, it was almost ridiculous. Crab-meat and artichoke hors d'oeuvre, stuffed mushrooms, cheese, crackers, cocktail shrimp... Everything. He was mostly interested in getting something to drink though at this point, so he avoided all that and made his way first towards part of the table where elegant glasses were neatly spread out in a fancy arrangement.
Unlike all the appetizers placed out around on the table however, the drinks here didn't have any labels. They were all half-way filled with a mysterious crimson liquid, which he could only presume to be punch (though in those glasses they could have easily been mistaken as fine wine). Dervish shrugged to himself and reached out for one, not really caring as to what it was anymore.
He took a quick sip of the swirling red concoction in his glass and straight away he visibly cringed from the taste of it. No doubt that it was punch; It was disgustingly sweet and tangy, so much so that it made his lip curl up in utter distaste. Revolting. He couldn't see how anyone could enjoy such a sugary beverage.
Ugh.
He hoped no one was watching him taste the food just for the fact that he was being quite animated about it. He turned his head slightly towards the right, glancing towards the two girls talking to each other on the other end of the table. Okay great, they weren't watching him; that was a good sign. He then turned to his left and nodded to the crab cakes levitating in the air beside him.
... Wait.
Did he just see little pink crab cakes floating in the air?
Dervish stared at the hovering food with wide eyes, gaping at the scene before him. What the hell?!
After a few seconds of staring he quickly clamped his eyes shut and shook his head, hoping to dismiss the images of flying crab cakes from his mind. After a while had passed, he opened his eyes again, blinking rapidly, and stared back at where the snacks had been floating before.
Gone.
His face paled.
The chimera looked down and glared at the punch in his hand, clutching onto the crystalline glass more tightly than before. No way that could have just happened. Unless...
Did somebody... Spike the punch?
Dervish blinked and then looked away, shrugging to himself silently. He then downed another swig of the stuff, nearly drinking the whole thing in one gulp. Maybe he would need this for tonight anyways...

Le Cyll commented on Areon’s lack of speech once silence lingered. He scoffed. That’s usually a trait about him many people question so quickly. But why? Do we have to have a reason to talk? Must we carry a conversation when in a group or a party or whatever the case is? What is wrong with keeping silent, honestly? There is simply nothing interesting to chat about hence his silence. Yet, do people automatically expect someone to wrack there brain just find a topic to keep a conversation alive? He noticed both Nami and Le Cyll waited patiently for him to respond. Well more like Le Cyll was the patient one; Nami, on the other hand, was giving him a look. Another sigh.
“What exactly is the purpose of speaking when there is nothing to say?”
Answering back with a question, a usual response from him. Also his usual method of speech. It makes some people ponder giving just a few more seconds or minutes of quiet. Plus it’s sometimes intriguing to hear what a person can come up with but rarely. Nami gave Areon a flick on the forehead standing on her tippy-toes a bit to reach him. She put her hands on her hips.
“Don’t be so rude!” She scolded. “He’s trying to be polite.”
Areon shrugged with a get-over-it attitude radiating in his expression. She should be used to his personality by now.

Vaguely, Seth noticed the table becoming a bit more crowded. Not that it made any difference to her. Absentmindedly she picked up another pastry. As bored as she had been with this ball, those feelings had only intensified. Suppressing a sigh, she replied to the human in her best, cheerful tone.
"Oh, no. I came alone. I really can't see why, though."
Inhaling and exhaling slowly, she leaned against the table. It wasn't much of a stretch to say that speaking in such long sentences left her feeling a bit winded. However, she didn't offer any looks of fatigue. It wouldn't be out of place for a girl to appear tired here. Apparently they would get tired from simply wearing shoes with heels. How weak. Nevertheless, Seth had gotten here mere minutes ago, and as such she kept all traces of fatigue out of her face in case someone had been watching her.
"This is... Rather boring, really."
Her words may have mimicked how she felt, though she made sure to add a tone to her voice. It wasn't hard and it kept the humans and all other manner of pathetic creatures none the wiser.

Immediately, all compassion was gone from Ivan's face. However, just as quickly as it had disappeared, it reappeared, only this time with the slightest threatening undertones. Ah, what a time for her to gain some confidence!
"Of course... Of course."
His reply was strained, his voice cracking just slightly in the middle there. It was barely noticeable... Except to him, of course. His calm mask was slipping and he didn't know why. He had to know why! Why he was so... Agitated! There had been no direct signs that told him that he should be worried... However, there was something here. He knew there was something important here. And he was missing it! Why was he missing it and what was he missing?
At that moment he felt a... Strange sensation in the back of his mind. It was an indescribable feeling, really. He wasn't sure what it was but he knew he didn't like it. Quite suddenly it disappeared, just as a thought struck him. His head immediately snapped back toward where that strange creature had been moments ago, not expecting to see him still standing there.
He really needed to get away for a moment.
"Forgive me," He turned back to Elle, "I will... Be right back."
Without another word, he turned and strode out of the room. Once outside, he deeply inhaled the night air as he tried to put his thoughts into some sort of coherent order. He simply had to have order. Even in the recesses of his own mind.
There was nothing to worry about, leaving Elle alone in there. He practically had six senses, so if someone attempted to take that item from her, he'd know about it.
Feeling more content with his logic, he instead focused on simply calming down. Reaching inside of his jacket he produced a small pack, which he proceeded to hold up in front of him, inspecting it. Imported. He would have only the finest.
Lightly tapping on the pack, he pulled out the cigarette and in a quick flash of light, it was lit. After the first inhale, he settled on flipping the cigarette from one finger to the next as he stared off in the distance, completely absorbed in his thoughts.

To this most thought provoking question, so defensively put out in front of Areon, Le Cyll could only grin more widely. Of course he did not want to talk, so of course he would ask this question. Le Cyll himself had always posed the same one to others that insisted to readily to drag a conversation out of him, and he had to admit, it was a perfectly reasonable inquiry.
He ignored the reason in it, just this once.
"There is none, but then again I'm not asking you to speak, just commenting on your lack of ability to do so. If you'd like, I can provide both sides of our conversation."
Nami was there to interfere as she always would be, but Le Cyll was too occupied to be upset with her. He simply held his hand up, as if he was excusing Areon's lack of manners.
"It's alright."
* * * Coyle laughed, watching with his glowing green eyes as commando man underwent a change. He wasn't so nice now that his little girl was standing up for herself, was he? Oh, he would be an adversary in this. That was sure as hell. Already, Coyle began making his list, seeing who he needed to work with, and who he needed gone or preoccupied whilst getting his heart and soul back. Short list, but it would work.
"Looks like I'm on your side for this fight, sweety." The beast chuckled, popping more cakes into his mouth. Mmmmmmm crab. He loved crab. And he loved the way commando man stormed out. This would be a good day...

Well, unfortunately, it didn’t take Le Cyll at all long to throw out his response. Not an interesting one of course but again those were rare. Yet…he did offer to take both sides of their conversation if someone can even consider it as one. What a strange yet appropriate offer, really Areon didn’t care.
“Knock yourself out.”
He replied in a somewhat agreement with a hint of sarcasim. Le Cyll can have fun talking to himself while Areon stared absent mindedly in the open. Again he didn't care.
Nami was again about to protest on Areon’s rude behavior when Le Cyll lifted his hand to stop her insisting everything was just fine. This time she crossed her arms, lips protruding out into a pout. Why couldn’t he just play along t least once? Areon is such a party popper. Seriously what causes his cloud to get all gray and gloomy? She gave another look but of course he was ignoring her.
