The Sanctuary

Ailyth had just made it to the bookshelf and was scanning the books for the magic duplicate one that would take her to the awesomely magical secret passage full of awesome and magical secrets when she heard a loud crashing sound behind her. Spinning around, she wondered for a moment if a spy had followed her and was now attempting to get her to lead them right to her awesome secret passage that she was about to find.

Just to make sure, she trotted off toward the sound, and soon found Aori next to an overturned cart and a bunch of books. She couldn't help but chuckle as that guy who found the other passage came over to check on her. Walking toward the mess, she pushed the cart back upright again and began setting the other books back on top of it again. Well, it was more like she tossed them on top of it. Tossed them into a heap. A messy heap. Well, at least they weren't on the floor anymore, so that meant the mess was cleaned up.

"You gotta be more careful!" She warned, "We can't alert other people to our mission!"

She smiled as she put the last book on the cart again, pleased that she finally remembered to speak more quietly. Straightening up, she gazed around the library, making sure that no one was watching them. If a staff member found them Ailyth was sure that they'd ruin all of her fun. She could deal with other students, of course, but the staff members seemed to be so much... Meaner. And they always sucked the fun out of everything. Such mean people![/color]

[Ari Phoenix]

She blushed as the two noticed her crash. She then realized she was now half way to Phoenix form, and her mind kind of blanked a little bit. She blushed in embarrassment as she realized both had seen her in this state. It was becoming widely known to her, that she still needed to learn to control such emotions, otherwise she might reveal herself in public, and that would cause troubles. She started looking quickly for the book to try to distract herself. She didn't really want to be this spazzy about things. She found the book and then looked up at the dragon, who seemed so wise to her.

"Um..hai, Arigatou" she spoke, forgetting that he had suggested a while back to only use english here. She realized she needed to patch up the hiding skin again, so that she wouldn't be revealed as not human. She then nodded to Ailith, when she returned. Apparently she had caused trouble, and was still trying to catch on to what to do. She noticed that Ailith helped put the books back, and she bowed graciously. She would have to thank her, but she got up and started walking, before turning around and bowing once again to the dragon, as she wrapped her splits. "You will have to excuse me for now, I really do need to learn to control my emotions." she apologized, and started back on the hunt again.

Kendryek smiled at Aori and nodded his acknowledgment of her appreciation. He stood where he was for a second, watching the two girls, before turning on his heel and walking back to his 'new' library. He had only seen the double of the books and from that and the maps he had seen, there should be a room on the other side. A double of a certain book was typical, but the griffins that had previously probably owned this place were too particular to not have a specific book just for the reason of having a hide out. Instead, they had probably thought, they should make two of the same book, but one just a cover and a slab of wood and the other the actual book. One, the slab of wood, would be the trigger for the door. It was typical griffin behavior. They loved their books so much that they didn't mind being obvious about their secret rooms, and only someone who knew the place was owned by a griffin would put two and two together: two of the same book in a griffin's library? Never! They tend to be far more particular than that!

Reaching his desk, he blew out the candle that had been burning and lit a new one he had brought down. Picking back up the first book he had been reading, he sat down and sighed contentedly. Now... where was he?
