Honestly, Nami was taken aback by his quick remark at first but actually it was pretty funny. She played along.
"Hahahaha! Well you have a point! Areon doesn't talk much. I'll keep that in mind." She giggled and winked back.

Le Cyll only nodded in quiet agreement with whatever was said. This Areon was bad, was he? He had to suppress a bit of a chuckle there. Cute little bad boys were always an interesting find. They usually thought themselves the kinds of their own little worlds - invincible, immovable, and all powerful. Le Cyll should know. He had been just the same when he was about five.
But then, as all good or bad little children do, he grew up. Most "bad boy" personas developed into average citizens, their outdated stereotypes proving more useful in lesser doses as an influential businessman or a manipulative somebody. His had not. If anything, it had exaggerated itself - growing fat on its own enormousness and becoming immensely powerful.
Narcissistic, to be exact, but that wasn't to say he was unaware. He knew full well who and what he was. That was the beauty of it. Most troubled young souls did not know, therefore were acting out of rage or fear, not true malevolence. He however differed. He was the true malevolent being - the true monster... Not some pumped up, overbearing child that liked to scare other children.
Although, scaring people did have it's charm...
No, he'd heard enough of this Areon. A punk kid was all he was. There was no true dark monstrosity to behold.
Too bad. He'd have liked to see another monster. It had been a while since he caught scent of another, and he did so like to be friendly.
Le Cyll tipped his head as he took another large chunk out of his caribou, joining in at last so that he would not seem distracted.
"I think something of a positive voice in his ear would do him well."
He smiled, thinking to himself about what he'd said.
Yes, a positive voice would have been nice for him too. If only his mother hadn't died of sickness and starvation.
He smiled a little more. Too late for that, it seemed.

"You're right, Le Cyll," Ara agreed. "He does need some positive in his life."
She thought about how depressed Areon looked. Storming his way through the halls with a unrelenting frown. He really needed someone happy to perk him up. Someone like.... Arabella glanced at Nami.
*** Meanwhile, after Cody played along with Nami for a little while, he tapped Le Cyll on the shoulder. "Hey, um, yeah. How do you and Ara know each other?" he was a little jealous of this guy, just greeting Arabella as if they were good friends. Or maybe I'm just being paranoid? But Cody knew something about this guy was different. There was something strange about him. Something....dark.

Nami took another bite of her sandwich. Areon's new and is already gaining a bad reputation. She sighed. He was suppose to behave while I was gone. Is about two years that long? She pouted to herself. "The way you guys talk about him makes him sound all depressed." Nami pointed out. "Don't worry he's completely fine. That's just his personality. " She said playfully yet a little defensive as well. She sat there quietly for a few seconds (strange for her) when another question crossed her mind. "Hey Areyna. Since Areon is here wouldn't that mean Skyler is present here too?" Areyna nodded. "So than where is he?" This time Areyna shrugged. "I don't know. I haven't seen him anywhere." Nami scoffed. "Shadow is always dissapearing." she complained. "I wonder if he does this on purpose."

Le Cyll looked up from his caribou, trying not to seem too annoyed by the question he'd been asked. Arabella? Le Cyll took a moment to focus his powers of observation on the child - Cody. He was young, and ignorant, and jealousy burned in him. Le Cyll could smell it.
Usually, it wasn't this easy to look at an individual and read them, but this one was human. He was, how would he put it? An open book? Yes. Cody was feeling slightly jealous. The Kludde simply shrugged, setting down his caribou as he did.
"She was attempting a little tennis when the ball gave her a bit of a bruise. I happened to be there, and happened to be able to help, so I did." Le Cyll thought for a moment before adding a little more. "I'd say the whole thing happened about three hours ago."
He picked up the end of a conversation about another one of their group. Oh, more people. How joyful. Le Cyll had brought a drink with him ot the table when he'd first sat down, but only now did he take a sip of it.
They just kept multiplying... [/size]

(Lol, wolf, "they just keep multiplying")
Cody's brow creased. He noticed Ara's black eye before but she wouldn't tell him where she had gotten it. Still, it was interesting to learn that Le Cyll had helped her. Cody took his attention off of him and threw away his jealous thoughts. He was just doing the right thing. There's nothing going on between them.
Cody's hazel eyes flashed to Nami's face. "Who's Skylar?"
*** Ara decided to ignore their conversation. She was a bit curious about Le Cyll. He was a mystery to her and would it be so wrong to make another friend...or acquaintance?
"So, Le Cyll," she took a small bite of her ham sandwich. "Are you new to Chimera Academy?"
Her green eyes looked down at his tray and caught sight of the caribou. So that's where the smell was coming from?

Areyna and Nami both looked at Cody when he asked who Skyler was but of course Nami was the one to answer.
"You know the Areon kid we mentioned? Skyler is his fraternal twin brother. But i call him Shadow!" she smiled "A nickname I gave him for always dissapearing. He seems to have a habit of wandering off. Wonder if he got lost trying to find the lunch room?" she laughed at her own joke. "You know what!I'm going to go find him! I'm sure he's in the lunchroom somewhere." she stood up starting towards the back of the cafeteria leaving her lunch behind....and Areyna who looked at Cody and forced a timid small smile.

Cody looked at Areyna, a grin starting to appear on his handsome face.
"I believe we haven't met. What's your name?"
He didn't mind flirting a little. Some girls just laughed at him while others walked away and looked at him like he was an idiot. He hoped she was just going to play along like Nami did. But he didn't know. She was hard to read, like the other shy girls he knew.

"I'm Areyna. Nice to meet you Cody."
Her eyes this time avoided his going for her tray of food which she hadn't touched. She picked up her juice box and took a sip. Should I say something else. Like what? What should I bring up.? What's interesting. Why can't I think of a topic? She quietly whined.
"S-s-s-so uh...ummmm......well..." she cowered in her chair embarrassed. I hate stuttering. I look like an idiot....breath your alright. Just talk its not hard . Stop making it so difficult. "How do you like this school so far?" she finally pushed jumbling the words together as she spoke. Hope he understood that...

His hazel eyes softened to a light brown. Cody found it interesting why she wouldn't look at him. Why was she avoiding his gaze?
"Likewise, Areyna. Cool name." She kinda reminds me of Arabella. Areyna's nervousness showed drastically. She had to stutter out her next question.
"I love it," he responded casually, his eyes eager to meet hers. "I make friends every day." He smiled at her again and his braces showed.

"Oh thats...thats realy umm....awsome." Sigh. I wihs it was easy for me to make a friend. She looked at Arabella than felt a little better. Well I did make one and I have Nami too. Maybe I could be friends with Cody. She finally took her gaze from the table looking into his warm hazel eyes. She opened her mouth to say something but her mind went blank. Her mouth hung open for a bit than she bit her lip looking away again blushing.

(man, you guys are adding characters like crazy >.> unless something interesting is going to happen, I kind of don't want to have like six people here at the same time, especially if they're all played by you guys! XD )
"That I am."
Le Cyll had developed a bit of a headache since first sitting down. He hadn't noticed it before - most likely because of all the over stimulation he'd been privy to - but it had tipped up to a nice, flat, searing pain now and he was ready to acknowledge its presence.
Headaches were not uncommon for him. They came and went, much like night and day. One could say he was plagued with them, but he'd found himself to have a higher pain tolerance level than most. He usually ignored them, though they were often particularly painful. He found it was a side effect of inexperienced minds in large numbers. He could, after all, hear thoughts.
It wasn't in the case of actually being able to read the minds of others as they thought, nor was it seeing memories by digging through their heads. No, his gift was a much more benign one. He could only hear the thoughts that someone specifically wanted someone to hear, and he could say things to then that only they could hear themselves. This thing - whether it be divine power or have some explainable reason for happening - was without limit. As long as he had a target, he could speak to anyone he wanted, over any amount of distance, and they could do the same to him.
Though this in all aspects of the word may be considered "cool" to some, it did come with a few drawbacks. One being inexperienced minds. They spread out thought like beacons, screaming their thoughts for all to hear, and thus becoming very loud to him who could hear them. He'd never needed to deal with this in the North, as animals did not speak mentally as much as sentient beings did, and the Kludde of his tribe were quiet and had the same senses as him towards this mental ability. They were purposely quiet, so none of them would have to hear the screaming of his neighbors.
Here though, it seemed this treaty of silence was not in effect. He had been hearing the sounds of all these minds screaming things since he'd walked in, and now it was starting to just become bothersome.
He blinked, forcing back the little shards of pain that wanted to shoot forward, then remembered to say the rest of what he'd started.
"I've been here two days now. Not much longer than you, I expect."
Reaching a tentative hand to his head, he rubbed the spot where the headache was nestled before allowing himself to ignore it again.
Sure, the pain was manageable, but it did terrors for his mood. He really hoped none of these creatures that had chosen to surround him did anything specifically aggravating...

"Yes. I've been here since Monday, but..."
Arabella's mouth twisted into a concerned frown. She saw that Le Cyll was rubbing his head--as if he had a headache. Maybe he was feeling sick? Then there was the other theory: He was bored out of his mind with this lunch gathering and he wanted to leave. Ara considered whether or not to say something, but after a few seconds, she finally spoke up.
"Are you okay?" she tried to hide her worried tone but had no luck.
*** When Areyna blushed, Cody smiled even brighter. He leaned forward, wondering what he did to make her turn away and avoid his eyes again.
"What did I do?" His voice cracked a bit and he covered his mouth with both hands. Now it was Cody's turn to be embarrassed. His face colored a bright red.
By the way, Wolf, there's not that many characters. Lol just Areyna, Cody, Ara, and Le Cyll. ;D Oh and what do you suggest to make this more interesting? Any ideas?

What happened just now? What was that? I was about to say something but..... Aryena recapped the awkward moment. When she looked at his face into his eyes eveything...everything went blank. Her train of thought totally crashed. Her cheeks were hot. She felt herself blushing. Then Cody asked, "What did I do?" His voice making a funny noise. Aryena looked up in time to see his reaction. She put one hand over her mouth trying to hold back a giggle but failed. She started chuckling a soft gentle laughter yet if felt good to laugh. She pulled herself together her big blue eyes gleaming a grin on her face. "No you did nothing wrong." She gave permission for another giggle to slip through her lips. ========= Nami dragged herself back toward the table. She scanned every liitle section of the cafeteria and Shadow was no where to be found. She frowned. Where is he? She sighed only a few feet away from her table when she heard Areyna giggling and Cody whose face was red. Curiousity exploded. What I miss! She was just about to interrrupt when she also heard Arabella asking Le Cyll if he was alright noticing him rubbing his head as if in pain. She looked back and forth at them and Areyna. I leave for a few minutes and I miss eveything. She chose to place her attention on Le Cyll and Ara. She didn't want to disturb the rare moment with Areyna. She approached them asking with interest. "What's wrong with him?"

Laughter soon followed as Cody removed his hands from his face. His voice had cracked like that before but never that drastically. As Areyna giggled at him and said that he had done nothing wrong, Cody smiled at her sheepishly.
"Sorry you had to hear that." Another chuckle escaped. His face calmed down--the blushing stopped. He hadn't noticed it before but Areyna had a pretty smile. For some reason, Cody liked it when she laughed.
Then he noticed Nami standing there with a curious expression.
"Oh," Cody stopped laughing but he was still grinning. "Hi, Nami."
