Caddie stood in line, waiting anxiously for her turn to order. A purr radiantly followed her but she ignored the odd looks. It wasn't her fault she purred when she was very happy and excited. The bubbly teenager nearly bounced to the cashier as she told the man what she would like. "Ummm, maybe some of that too," she quickly added, pointing to something richly chocolate. "I just love chocolate, don't you?" She giggled sweetly, paid and quickly sat down and began devouring it.
Within minutes the Cheshire Cat finished one dessert but it was on to the next. Only two desserts today; she tried to limit herself when she came in here, but it proved always a challenge. Unfortunately the second didn't last long either and she acted as if she reached for a third, but misplaced it. A frown downed her features and she slumped over dramatically. Like an actress she lifted her head, finding invisible redemption and stood up regally. "Well I suppose I've had my fill," she stated richly. "Although I could always buy another."
Caddie blinked and shook her head. No, no more for today; she kept telling herself that. But why did the urge to buy another sweet chocolate cake portion persist? With a heavy sigh, she waltzed back over to the counter, just wanting to hear what the next customer ordered. "I say," she began, placing a hand on the shoulder, "that you should go for the chocolate cake. I've never eaten something as sweet and delicious!" And she gave one of her radiant and friendly smiles. Everyone could use a little guidance here and there and Caddie certainly handed out her thoughts freely.

Lucifer shoved his hands deep into the pockets of him black dress pants, his apathetic gaze probed his surroundings, the bustling candy shop in all its obnoxious bright coloured glory. If it weren't for the fact he was craving chocolate more than ever, he would have left the place much earlier. He felt so exposed due to how much he stood out in this candy coated hot pink atmosphere.
He could not tell how long he had been in line but every waking moment Lucifer stood there was driving him insane, and for someone as tolerant as he, this was peculiar.
As Luci at long last neared the counter he apathetically pointed at what he wanted and handed the clerk his money without word or acknowledgement of their existence. Lucifer didn't like strangers. He didn't know how to deal with them.
Taking the large slice of chocolate cake, chocolate layered on chocolate on chocolate with fudge... it was heavenly... even the icing was chocolate, it was just all chocolate, any more chocolatey and the plate and fork and plate would be chocolate, okay? That chocolatey. Yum.
He wandered over to the empty table behind a girl with flamboyant pink hair, it was odd. Probaly would draw attention as well but he sat at the table as it was the only empty one left.

It appeared as if someone followed her advice, or at least Caddie loved thinking like that. She watched the shy and somewhat awkward male sat down at a table. Instantly her heart went out for him. Just look how lonely he was! He acted like no one in the world cared about him and seemed to have no friends. Everyone else was at least seated with someone or acting like they were having a time of their life. She turned around in her seat and quickly jumped over to his, leaving her table for someone who might need it. For a moment she just looked at him.
Caddie smiled radiantly. "You look very lonely," she stated with a dramatic effect added to each word. "You see, you looked so alone and I couldn't help but notice you got the chocolate cake I was talking about. It's the best isn't it? It's definitely my favorite." Like being alone and chocolate cake went together, but it did in Caddie's mind. Candace propped her elbows casually on the table, acting as if she had known him her entire life. She never met a stranger. "Anyway, I think I've seen you around campus maybe." she shrugged. A lie maybe, she wasn't quite sure. He was sort of the wallflower type, not that she disliked wallflowers, they just were complicated and strange people. Caddie accepted them nevertheless. Rarely was there someone she wouldn't accept.
"But I don't think we've had a class together or anything. I'm Candace, but I really don't like that name. I prefer Caddie." And she waited for him to introduce himself, because that was the polite thing to do.

Lucifer picked at his chocolate cake now questioning his hunger for it as he unfocused his icy blue eyes into space, he sighed. The quaint little candy shop was so bustling and noisy that he could barely hear himself think. He barely noticed as the strange girl with pink hair seated herself beside him.
He couldn't help but smirk, how in some unknown way chocolate cake and his loneliness connected... There was a slight connection, chocolate always did have a warmth to it. And how she picked out that detail so fast was stunning... she probably didn't realise it though. Even with how incredibly bubbly the girl seemed he decided to at long last acknowledge her existence.
He turned to look at her, such a genuine, radiant smile spread across her features. He couldn't help but blush at the fact that a girl or her sort was paying him any mind, she really was pretty.
"Um, hi... I'm Lucifer." He stated awkwardly, blushing more he focused his gaze back on the chocolate cake and continued to poke at it idly.

There were those socially inept and Caddie knew it in the back of her mind. She just made a choice to ignore it and insist that everyone enjoyed an outspoken extrovert who carried on random conversations with complete strangers. Not so complete stranger this time though. She smiled at his awkwardness and discarded it completely. For a few seconds she allowed herself just to breathe; it felt good to not talk for a few seconds, but with Caddie this never lasted long and she heard only what he had to say before she was off rambling again.
"Hey Lucifer!" she stated very enthusiastically. Her dramatic movements, expressions, and words never left. "It's very nice to meet you, especially in this place. This is one of my favorite places. I know it's bad for you and everything, but once in awhile I just have to come in here. I don't know if I could live without this place. Sometimes the academy just makes me want chocolate because I do all of that work." She didn't mind the work until it became too much and then she resorted to chocolate and visiting one of her favorite places while she was at it. "But luckily this visit doesn't include me having to work and avoiding it. Just sort of seemed like a nice day to come in here, you know?"
Caddie hardly realized that she might be preventing him from eating in peace or eating in general. Unfortunately realizing this would never come to her. She never bothered anyone, surely. She liked how he blushed, that was one thing she noticed. Shy people always did that and she always wanted to laugh. Not in a mean way, of course. "Is this one of your favorite places too?" He didn't look like he frequented here at all. "I think you should visit here more often."

Lucifer did not really know how to respond. This girl kept talking and talking... He didn't mind but due to his general unsociableness, he had much difficulty replying.
"Its nice to meet you too. And its okay, I guess." Lucifer smiled nervously, his blush only getting worse in complete contrast with his white hair. He had to be really conscious of this due to the possibility of his skin failing... In this case... it would be a most incredibly awkward scene.
He shook this thought from his head and continued to stare into his slice of cake. He was beginning to wonder whether or not he was actually hungry.
