Chasity ran out to the edge of water, smiling at the smooth surface and the beautiful trees. She laughed for the first time in a long time, loud an clear. She spread her arms and spun in a circle, closing her eyes and giggling. Walking to the water, she cupped her hands and took a drink of the cool water. Smiling at the sky, she sighed happily. Turning to the young man still hidden in the trees, she laughed once more.
"Come on Kendryek!" she shouted. "This is perfect! Its the only place for miles where you can shed your skin! Isn't this great!? We didn't think that you would be able to do that for a while!" She watched as he walked out into the sun.
"It's bright," he told her.
"Yeah," she squinted up at the sun, "but you need to get used to it! This place is wonderful!" She laughed again and grabbed onto Kendryek's arm. Although she could tell that he was looking down at her, she continued to look out at the birds that were flying over the lake. "Man, I'm going to enjoy going to this school." She allowed herself to lean on him. He grunted and she stood back up. "You're no fun, you weak pansy!"
He smiled down at her, not saying anything. They both knew it wasn't true. He could take down almost anyone with a single punch and rarely lost a fight.
"Someone is coming," he whispered.
She frowned at the prospect of their time together being interrupted, but only for a second. The next moment she was smiling again. "We get to meet some of our fellow students!"
Kendryek looked around. Detaching her from his arm he gazed at the woods for a second before walking back to the shade. Grabbing a branch on a low tree, he lifted himself up.
Chasity put her hands on her hips. "Kendryek! Must you always choose to be invisible and in the place with the most advantage?"
He smiled at her but said nothing. She sighed as he disappeared in the leaves. All she could do now was wait until whoever was coming came.

Laughing while she ran Nami sprinted out of the trees into the wide open grassy space ahead. This would be the perfect spot to have a picnic even though they lacked the food. Psh! Who needs food to have a picnic!? Nami surely didn’t. She turned around cuffing her hands around her mouth.
“Hurry it up boys! You guys are so slow!”
“I’m coming Nami! It’s a little challenging to get Areon to move faster!” Skyler replied with a chuckle.
He appeared from the shadows with his brother following lethargically arms crossed as usual. Nami spun aroudg in crazy circles nearing toward the lake. Such pretty sparkling water! Beautifully capturing the suns reflection in its liquid mirror. She took a look back at the boys once still her whole world going in circles.
“OMG! Areon I see double of you!” she cried. “Wow I can’t imagine two Areon’s living on one planet! What a responsibility!”
She giggled again Skyler laughing with her while Areon ignored her like always. Nami pouted for a split second stumbling toward him while the vertigo secluded. She gave him a nudge on the side telling him to lighten up. While she messed with him Skyler gave his eyes permission to wander around the scenery heading every which way sucking every detail till he spotted one detail he didn’t expect to be here. A girl in the distance, not any of the students he had met recently. Maybe she’s as new as they were. He motioned for Nami’s attention pointing at the unfamiliar girl.
“We aren’t alone.” He stated the obvious.
“Hmm?” Nami perked her head to the side catching a glimpse of her. “The more the merrier is my philosophy!”
She took Areon by the arm dragging him along with Skyler to the side matching their pace. Areon scanned the girl as she drew closer detecting a faint noise barely audible to the human ear. Attentively he analyzed the source of the sound finding no one yet such results didn’t satisfy him. Someone was hiding. Why though? They’re just a bunch of harmless teen. Whatever. Taking no more interest to whoever or whatever his themselves from them he saw Nami approach the random girl, a ways the first to great someone whether she knew them or not.
“Hi there stranger!” She began. “See we have the same idea here don’t we!” Oh! I’m Nami Kurata! That’s Skyler!” He nodded with a friendly smile. “And rain cloud over there is Areon!”
He didn’t say anything, didn’t make the slightest reaction just glanced at the girl.

Chasity watched as a girl walked out of the trees. She could hear her loud and clear as she shouted for her companions to hurry along. It didn't take long for the two boys following the girl to step out into the sun. Even from this distance, she could tell something of their personalities. The girl seemed bubbly, the one boy decently happy, and the second slightly dark and uncaring. It took them a moment, but they finally noticed that she was standing a couple hundred feet away.
Watching as they drew closer, she looked towards Kendryek. she couldn't see him, but she knew he was there. He was probably taking notes on their personalities and how he could stay on their good side. That man was always trying to keep allies and make no enemies. It made sense, but sometimes Chasity thought that he spent a little too much effort on it. Looking back at the group that was approaching she noticed that the second boy was studying her, though she didn't care. They were going to be her classmates. That meant that she had to be nice. The girl was first to speak, as expected since she seemed the talkative one of the group. Her name was Nami, the first boy was Skyler, and the last one of the group was Areon.
Chasity smiled. "You can call me Chase." Looking at all three in turn as she spoke, she took special note of the boy named Areon. Kendryek might have some use or whatever for him later. He might want to study the 'rain cloud', as Nami put it, that seemed to envelope the boy. She wanted to shake her head at Kendryek and his stupid studies, but she kept her air of happiness.
Sighing happily, she looked back out over the lake. "Same idea as you? I don't think so. I'm simply here to scout out the area. One needs to hunt, eventually, right?" She was blunt about the fact that she wasn't human. These people definatly weren't. Kendryek would have said something if they were. Speaking of the serpent, when was he going to show himself? She pushed the thought of of her mind and focused on the group once more.
"You are here for a picnic, correct? That is the only event I can think of that three would come to for. Yet, you seem to lack a basket and the food that the word 'picnic' typically implies. Hm..." Chasity thought for a moment. Her things were already at the dorm so she couldn't supply and food, but that reminded her of something. If she remembered correctly, she had seen the name 'Nami Kurata' on the list that told who her room mates were.
"Oh! You are that Nami Kurata! I am your new room mate: Chasity Connell." Chasity extended her hand and gave her happiest smile. "It is nice to meet you!"

"Chase? Coolio!" Nami complemented.
She wandered what it was short for, it had to be short for something. O she'll ask later! The girl commented on Nami's when she claimed they had they same idea for being out here. Nope. They didn't. Nami cocked her head to to the side. "Hunting? Oh. How fun!"
She tried to make the event sound exciting hopefully convincing enough. How would she know the joyful experience of hunting? She has never hunted nor needed to hunt. She's hunted for a decent apple but of course that wouldn't be them same. She'd considered herself as the hunted then the hunter. Nami laughed when Chasuty pointed out how they could have a picnic without the food.
"It's quite easy really! Why must we need food in order to have a picnic? It's a free world! The word picnic could have many meaning!" he face lite up oncde she fell under the realization of what came out of the girls mouth. "Really?! We are roommates! " She turned to Skyler and Areon. "Guess what! I have a new roommate! Exciting isn't it!"
"Very exciting Nami." Skyler agreed going along.
"Hmph.....sure..." Areon replied sarcastically. He could care less and she knew well of it.
Satisfied she put her attention back on Chasity. Such a funny coincidence they meet here instead of at school or in their dorms. Nami backtracked to when the girl mentioned hunting, is she hunted then surely she wasn't human. Simple. And know and idea struck inside her head with a click!
"Ok then! If you going to be my room buddy its time for Nami's 20 question! A fun way to get to know each other! Stop me if i come on to strong or personal." she warned. "Question number one! What animal is your skin disguising? For one, I haven't met anyone of my kind. You would think my kind is common but no other unicorn has popped out, This is a vast school though so my hopes aren't crushed! O hey Skyler you should share your creature too!"
Areon grabbed Skyler's attention making him jump when receiving the jab to his side. He blinked rewinding to what she had asked.
"O my creature? Just a dragon." He replied.
"Just a dragon! Your the coolest dragon I've ever seen! Your so different from all the others!" Nami disagreed.
Skyler shook his head back and forth, he told her many times he wasn't anything special yet she pushed on. He didn't get why. "Stop making a big deal out of nothing. I'm not fascinating."
"O geez Skyler your so modest."
He shrugged the smile switching to a playful smirk. Count on Nami to make matters seem bigger then they truly are.
"And by the way Areon is a dragon too! So what are you then?!"
<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>
Areon didn't bother paying the tiniest bit of attention to the pointless conversation Nami was making with the new student. He couldn't in the least anyway. There it is again, the sensation of being watched. He attempted to take no interest in the feeling but being secretly watched brought a sense of paranoia. He knew someone was hiding, the girl Chase proving his point to be ecaxt as she slipped a couple glances at the trees. Once again Areon analyzed the shadows detecting nothing one more. His eyes narrowed with a sigh he decided to ask the girl an easy question himself.
"Who exactly is keeping themselves camoflauged from us?"
If there was no one then he would look like a fool for asking though such thought didn't matter. What others thought about him wasn't at all important.

Chasity smiled at the girl's enthusiasm and of the lack-there-of in her companions. It wasn't often that she came across three totally different people that enjoyed each others company. It's not that she hadn't seen it before, it was that she always found it amusing no matter how many times she had seen it before. The only thing that worried her was Nami's 'Twenty Questions'. She cocked her head to the side a bit, slightly confused at why the girl wanted to know so much about her. She wanted to know her animal? Already? Before Chasity could even open her mouth to answer, Nami was already naming her animal, Shadow's, and Areon's.
As it ended up, Nami was a unicorn and the boys were both dragons. In the words of the ecstatic girl, Shadow's dragon was 'special', though how, Chasity did not yet know. No matter what, she wasn't sure it could top the 'special' thing about Kendryek, though his special thing wasn't too special if you really thought about it. Laughing on the inside, careful to not show the full extent of her feelings. Nodding with an understanding look on her face, she hoped that she wouldn't have to tell her animal. Kendryek always said to let someone get to know you before you reveal yourself. After a little bit of near non-stop talking, Chasity inwardly cringed as Nami came back to her question of what animal she was.
She opened her mouth to respond, and a brilliant idea popped into her head! Smiling mischievously, but not too mischievously, with a bit of playfulness added, she held up one finger. "I have a better idea. How about, rather than me telling you what my animal is right away, we'll play a guessing game and, after you have asked nineteen of your twenty questions, see if you can guess what I am. If not, I'll tell you my animal as the twentieth question. A good idea, right?" It was truly a win-win situation. Both ways Nami would get what she wanted, or at least what it seemed that she wanted, and with this new installment, Nami would most likely use quite a few of the questions to get physical information about what lay behind Chasity's skin.
Before Nami had a chance to respond, Areon, who evidently didn't care for the conversation, asked a question that caused Chasity to almost jump with surprise. Almost. She kept her act perfectly and looked around slightly confused. "Camouflaged?" she asked as she always did when someone noticed Kendryek. She heard a faint voice in her mind telling her to quite the act. He was coming out of hiding the way people usually are forced to. That was undeniably odd. Kendryek wasn't one for 'usual' appearances.
<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>
Kendryek had watched the whole conversation and was just about to dismount from his position when the boy called Areon asked who was hiding. Smiling to himself, he watched as Chasity looked around, sort of confused. She'd played the part enough times to be good at it. She, of course, was the distraction while he skillfully placed himself wherever he wanted to greet them from. This time, though, he told Chasity telepathically that he was coming from the tree and introducing himself like any other person would. Still making very little noise, noise that only Areon and Chasity would probably notice, he swung down from the tree and leaned against the rough bark. He was still smiling, and chucked, satisfied, when Areon looked his way. Chasity, too, looked to where he was.
"Hello, everyone. Please, excuse my rude behavior." He bowed deeply as in the way of 'his people', the Japanese. He stood up straight, but then immediately bowed, even deeper, toward Areon. "I am immensely impressed with and extol the skills of one so infantile, no offense intended and I deeply hope that none was taken, Areon-san."

Nami waited for Chase to answer her question not expecting the answer she had gotten in the end. She wanted her to guess her animal with 20 guesses? She totally manipulated Nami’s 20 question gig! Nami put her hands on her hips, stood up straight, head tilted, eyebrow raised. “Hey! You totally stole my idea, twisted it and threw it back into my face!” She leaned forward. “How mean!”
She let silence linger to cause a dramatic effect with her fit. Skyler, confused as to why Nami was yelling but in the end she burst into laughter, was surprised she kept a stern expression for so long.
“Hahahaha! I’m just kidding! Wow I should consider an acting career! But anyway, let me see…”
She was just about to list her first creature until Areon interrupted with a question of his own. What was he talking about? Even Chase seemed slightly confused. Literally, completely out of thin air, someone jumped down from a tree, now leaning on its bark. He was a male, with Asian features, bowing as he apologized for his rudeness. Nami automatically bowed herself, greeting him.
“Konnichiwa!”
For some reason she assumed he was Japanese, and that was the only Asian word she knew. How embarrassing it would be if his background was another country. She chuckled quietly to herself picturing how funny that would be. Oh! Wonder if he’s some kind of ninja! He’s pretty stealthy!
<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>
So he was correct. He should trust his instincts more instead of denying or second guessing them. What danger such ignorance can place him in. The older student gave a respectful bow to Areon giving him a complement yet worded quite strange. Infantile? He interprets him as a child? Must be the case of an older age trapped inside a slow aging body. Areon was excluded from such situations for the time being. He was 15, looked 15, and had lived for 15 years. Although his younger age, he shouldn’t consider him a child; it gave an impression of cockiness. No one should be underestimated, whether by size or age, no matter how much experience the one judging may contain. Attempting politeness, Areon nodded back, though his expression was blank. Now that the mystery is solved, boredom was creeping in once again. Such wide open space before him, maybe he should venture, find a peaceful corner to himself. Practice his martial art. Unfortunately, if he did he would never hear the end of it from Nami. She would think he had abandoned her; therefore he was bound to where he was the only entertainment pointing towards the two new attendees. Not so much entertaining really.
<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>
Even though the new comer was more than distracting, Nami focused back on the double game she was playing with Chase. Maybe she’ll have to use the same method to reveal the others creature as well.“Oh, Chasity, I’m going to guess now! Erm… phoenix, unicorn, dragon, griffin, chimera, stop me if I’m right, please… ummm… Skyler, help me out!”

Chasity was slightly surprised by Nami’s reaction. It didn’t fit her character. Choosing to wait with eyebrows raised, she was rewarded with the girl bursting out laughing. That was more like the Nami she had perceived! She was just about to start guessing when Areon asked who was hiding. Within seconds, Kendryek was out of the tree and had said hello. Nami instantly bowed as well while greeting him in Japanese. Chasity giggled to herself because of the mispronunciation of the word. Oh well. Kendryek would know what she meant. After only a few seconds, Nami switched back to her twenty questions. Instantly the hyper girl started naming random mythical creatures. After all the popular ones, she asked Skyler to help her. Before either could say another word, Kendryek stepped in front of her.<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|> Kendryek smiled at Nami’s reaction to his greeting. Not wanting to be rude, he smiled at her and told her ‘Konnichiwa’, too. Almost instantly, she turned her attention back to Chasity. “Oh, Chasity, I’m going to guess now! Erm… phoenix, unicorn, dragon, griffin, chimera, stop me if I’m right, please… ummm… Skyler, help me out!” the girl babbled. Before either could say anything, Kendryek stepped in front of Chasity with his arms out as if guarding her. A small, charming smile decorated his face. “Malady, please. Such lists are not proper. If you could refrain from bombarding my fiancé with tiresome nouns posed as questions, I would be greatly pleased.” Silence greeted this statement. That was the response he was looking for.

Skyler merely watched all that was happening around him. There was really nothing for his to say only listen and observe. Nami and the new girl were playing a guessing game to figure out Chastity’s creature. Nami rambled mindlessly naming all she could think of calling for his help when finally stuck. Skyler racked his brain around just for a moment opening his mouth to name a couple from the top of his head when he was interrupted by the older student.
"Malady, please. Such lists are not proper. If you could refrain from bombarding my fiancé with tiresome nouns posed as questions, I would be greatly pleased.” He said.
Skyler’s eyebrows pulled together. Fiancé? He scanned the both of them there appearance saying they both belong in high school or college. Just how old are they exactly? He didn’t bother to ask such a nosy question clearly none of his business. Yet, of course, such matters didn’t stop Nami from asking otherwise.
“Fiancé? Are you guys little two young??? And what do you mean by tiresome nouns? Am I not playing this game right? If there were rules you could have told me.” She crossed her arms. “My bad though. How exactly am I supposed to play this game?”
<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>
That was it. He made his decision and Nami would have to deal with it. The open space called to him, a remedy to the sickness of boredom. Areon needed a moment of isolation. Some me time as others would put it. The two new students failed to grab his attention he tried to be interested which ended in failer as well. As he turned he focused not to make the slightest sound while attempting the escape. His feet moving slowly, silently. Just as he believed success was inches away the rude awaking sound of footsteps shattered all hope. Nami.
“Areon where are you going!?” She cried.
He didn’t answer picking up his pace to some extent. Move, just move. She’ll let him go. She has before.

Chasity was a surprised as the others when Kendryek stepped forward. He rarely spoke that much and stood up for her even less (except, of course, she was in physical danger and she couldn't protect herself). Yet, this was an odd case. There was something about these kids. He must like them more than he likes most people. But… why? She couldn’t see anything special about them, and this wasn’t how he treated people he thought could be useful to him. This was almost how he had treated her when he first met her: big words and lots of flattery. He didn’t have the look in his eye either, the gleam of an idea. He was simply interested. That was all. It had been a long time since she’d seem him like this. Most people he simply brushed off. Well, that was going a little overboard. He was polite and would answer any questions posed to him as long as they weren’t too personal, but he would never go out of his way to join a conversation. That is, unless he was fascinated with something. But what was it about these kids that engrossed him so?
Nami seemed offended by his interruption. Quickly, Chasity pushed Kendryek aside, laughing nervously. “Don’t mind him, Nami! He’s just… being nice to me… for once… it’s odd, really. But, yeah, we’re engaged. And, no, we aren’t too young. We’re too old if you ask me!” She glared as Kendryek for a second while he pretended not to see her. Turning back to Nami, she gave her an exasperated look. “He refuses to actually marry me! I don’t know why I’m still dating him!”
“You love me,” he stated, simply and bluntly.
“Yeah, but I don’t know why!” she stuck her tongue out at him. He didn’t bother to respond. They both knew what he would say. This happened every now and again. She would get upset that he was holding back, but later she’d get over it because she knew his reasons behind his actions and she knew where he stood and why. At times like this, he would also typically find a place to go so that she could cool off. Inside, she felt a little bit of triumph. There was nowhere for him to go this time! He would have to stand here and endure her anger!
That was when she noticed him watching something. She looked and saw Areon twenty feet away, creeping off silently. Evidently, Nami had noticed before any of them. She shouted for him to come back, but he didn’t stop. He walked faster! That’s when she realized that, if Kendryek was going to take it, this was the perfect opportunity for him to leave as well. She saw him take the first step in following Areon and sighed. Eventually he would have to answer for the procrastination, but today was not that day. Nami also started to follow Areon, but Chasity decided that she would allow Kendryek to have his fun.
“Nami!” she shouted. “What about the twenty questions? I thought you wanted to know my animal?” The girl seemed torn between following her boyfriend and questioning a girl she didn’t know. In the end, her curiosity won the fight. Turning back, pouting, she relented to staying.
<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|> Kendryek allowed himself to be pushed aside. He could tell that one of Chasity’s fits was going to ensue the moment Nami questioned their engagement. Most people couldn’t believe that they were engaged, but they were. Chasity had a ring and all; she just chose not to wear it. It was a part of her protest to his reluctance. No matter what she said, though, he wasn’t going to actually ever marry her. He had once had a wife, and she was a dragon, like him. They had believed that they would live together for forever, but she had been killed after a hundred years or so. Since then, he refused to allow anyone that close to him. There was the occasional girl, like Chasity, that he would allow himself, but his loyalty would forever remain with his first and only true love. She knew this, but she, like all the others, was determined to break the chain of resistance. Too bad none of them realized the loyalty he held inside him. No one would ever break that bond. He and Chasity had been together for twenty five years. She hadn’t broken it, so she never would. She was simply lucky that she was as close to him as she was.
A small, ever so small sound caught his attention. Areon was creeping away. Just in that moment, the others noticed too, stopping Chasity’s tirade. Nami shouted for the boy, but he simply kept walking. Seeing the moment as an opportunity to leave Chasity, Kendryek followed Areon. The sooner he was gone, the sooner she would cool down. Nami also started after her boyfriend, but Chasity called her back. He smiled to himself. She was already in a better mood. The proof was in her actions. If she was as mad as the act she put on was, she would have left Nami alone and followed as well. Nami turned back, and Kendryek continued in Areon’s footsteps. He would stop after a little ways to allow the boy a little bit of time to himself, but that would be a short-lived time.

Skyler observed Chasity’s expression as her friend spontaneous action caught her off guard. Protective isn’t he? Wonder why? What harm can mere questions have on a person? He pondered on his words realizing the damage something simple as questions may result in. Yet aren’t the questions going to be asked silly and not detrimental in a way? He shrugged to himself. People have their own logic some you just can’t figure out on your own. Maybe, hence the reason why they are playing this game in the first place. Skyler shook his head ridding of the useless thoughts scrambling around. Pointless of him to stress over simple, unnecessary matters. He watched as the older student seemed to….not scold but correct Nami knocking her over with his logic. Skyler soaked in the scene happening in front of him. Rapidly, his eyes widened as he blinked in surprise. Did he hear that last sentence accurately?
Nami tilted her head to the side. Apparently she wasn’t playing the game correctly. Who would blame her, no said there were rules which would have made life a whole lot easier. So she was supposed to guess characteristics not actual creatures. Her lips turned into a pout. Why didn’t they say this earlier? Would have saved her from the embarrassment she felt now. Her eyes fell to the floor. She must have looked like an idiot rambling mythical beings madly. Noticing the growing lapse of silence she picked her eyes up laying them on Chasity then him finally opening her mouth to respond.
“Oh.” She started quieter then her usual decimal of speech. “I’m…umm…sorry. Guess I should asked how to play this game correctly first huh?”
A little smile took over her lips this time, then, suddenly, a blank look of realization and confusion covered her expressions. Di-did he just say engaged…..?
Seeming to forget her former embarrassment she yelled, “You two are engaged!? Wha-wha-what!?!?!?!?!?”
Skyler himself didn’t comprehend this news at first, but there was only one logic explanation that can explain this strange phenomenon. He was slightly baffled by the fact Nami seemed oblivious to this detail. She didn’t know? Doesn’t everyone know how long creatures as themselves can live? He shrugged again, he himself may never know. On the other hand, they do appear too young just the same. Interesting twist this conversation seemed to take and Interesting students these two are.
<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<> He seemed to daze out the conversation killing his mind with boredism. So the two new comers were engaged hmm??? Nami seemed to make a big deal out of it as expected and of course Areon could care less. O joy, a happy couple. A sarcastic hint took the tone of his thoughts. It took more than impractical facts to grab his attention, a lot more. He fixed his eyes onto the grassy vast plain with the rippled effect every blade made as the wind ran through them. The wide open space attracted him, pleased by the thought of solitude. Just him and nature alone. Peace, quiet, no one to interfere with such a tranquil moment. He scowled at the ruckus carrying on in behind him. As a matter of fact he didn’t have one second to himself since arriving to the academy and now was the perfect time. No one paid attention, distracted by their childish games. His chance was now and he will take it.
<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<> Barely noticeable, only caught by her peripheral vision, she saw a little black figure escape growing smaller from distance. Instantly, her head snapped toward his direction Areon leaving them behind. Where is he going?! Instinctively she ran to him, trying to catch up.
“Where are you going!” she called!
Just a few more feet and she’ll reach him but the sound of Chasity’s voice slowed her pace startled by the brush of the older student as he past her so quickly. How did he-? The girl called once more luring her in with Nami’s curiosity of her creature. Constantly switching from Areon to her, she decided to stay and continue their game. She will just have to scold him later, look as if the stranger was taking matters into his own hand anyway. Reluctantly, Nami’s feet dragged back to Chasity sighing while taking one more glance ahead.
<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<>*<> Her footsteps, they ceased. Relief washed over Areon just to be crushed by the reappearing sound. Wait. These steps weren’t hers. Their pattern was different the strides longer and softer among the grass. His eyes narrowed easily pinpointing the only culprit. Him. He was following. Why was he following? Did the message not occur to him that all he wanted was to be alone? Was it so much to ask for? Why else would he try to be sneaking away? He wasn’t in the mood to get acquainted with anyone, to make conversation with anyone. The sound was closing in on him. Crud, just what he needed. He’ll just have to stick with the method of ignoring. Maybe, just maybe, the student will lose interest. Maybe. Hopefully.

Chasity watched as the two left and as Nami came back. Of course the girl was disappointing, but that was okay. She would be fine in a few minutes. "O.K.," Chasity smiled. "Forget what Kendryek said, and forget my little suggestion. Go ahead and ask your twenty questions, and I'll tell you my animal as a bonus, like a twenty first question without the question." She giggled at her own words. It sounded funny, but that was okay. She waited as Nami came up with the first question.
<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|> Kendryek could tell that Areon didn't want to be followed. He also knew that the teen heard him coming. Slowing to a walk and then stopping, he waited a few minutes while standing in the shade. This was going to be interesting.

Nami listened to the girl as she announced a new rule to the game changing everything. Ok than so her animal was to be a bonus answer which means all she has to do is ask random questions right? Seems like this is where the game has taken a turn to. Nami put finger to her lips nibbling on her nail while she pondered for her first question. What else does she really want to know? Should she go with basic questions like “what is your favorite color?” or something more in depth? She decided to settle with the first question jumping its way into existence.
“Umm……do you like apples?”
Yes, she did just ask if Chasity likes apples. She caught Skyler giving her a did-you-just-seriously-ask-that look yet a smile was painted brightly on his face a little chuckle slipping out. His small laugh brought out one of her own. Ya, she could agree she sounded ridiculous but hey it was funny. She continued to laugh coming to halt after a few seconds to give Chasity the chance to answer.

Ignore. All he could do was ignore. He faced the floor watching his own footsteps filling his mind with whatever made its way through his thoughts. Lost in his own plan Areon looked up slightly listening intently. The noise…they have died away. Has that student lost interest all ready? He wasn’t complaining though. The silence was pleasing. He turned his head somewhat glimpsing behind him distinguish a dark figure positioned under the shade looking directly at him. He cleared his throat quietly taking his attention off of the student his intentions his only focus once again.
(occ: I can’t wait when Areon knows Kendryek’s name so I can stop calling him “the older student” “student” “new comer” ect… lol!!! XD)

Chasity looked at Nami. "Apples? Uh... well... they aren't my favorite, definitely not, but I will eat them."
That was a odd first question. One would think that if this girl did this to all her new 'friends' that she'd have a routine or something. But one could only wonder.
Speaking of wondering, what was Kendryek up to? He didn't typically follow people around unless they were her. Then again, maybe he wasn't. Was it possible that he had followed Areon for a little bit before heading back to the school? It wasn't a probable scenario, but it was possible. Too bad he was so unpredictable.
<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>
Kendryek watched Areon continue to walk while he stopped under a tree. He was an interesting character, for sure. His disposition was almost depressed and not quite gloomy. It was more of an apathetic outlook that he seemed to posses. In the mix was anger and annoyance, though, so he wasn't quite that either. It just might take more time than he had anticipated to figure this teen's character out. That only invigorated his interest.
Many questions ran intertwining paths through Kendryek's mind. Why was he like that? What had made him that way? Who had made him that way? How had he come to this point? When had this path begun? Where was it going to end? Those were the 'who, what, when, where, why, how' questions that Kendryek always came up with for many people he met. Over the years he had found that if he could make those questions deep enough and different for each person, he would find out everything else he would ever want to know about the person. "The deeper you dig, the more you find," someone had once told him, and it just so happened that they had been right.

With her head cocked Nami took in Chase’s answer considerably. So she doesn’t like apples much. Nami liked apples but she herself wasn’t much of a fanatic either. Nah. She preferred strawberries over any fruit, maybe with the exception of mangoes. Strawberries and mangoes the top fruit on her list! Hmmm??? Wonder what a strawberry mango shake would taste like! She liked her lips keeping the drool from slipping out of her watering mouth.
“Not an apple fan? Ah that’s no problem! I’m not either! Oh something we have in common!” She pointed back and forth to Chasity and herself. Resting her chin upon her hand as she waited for another question to ask keeping this game in an even motion? “Do you like spring, summer, autumn or winter? Why do you pick that particular season from the other and what about it do you like the best?”
O ya three questions in one! Nami hoped this action of her was alright and not “against the rules”, yet again no one mention rules. O well she will find out.
Skyler listened intently to their chosen entertainment. Nami seemed to enjoy herself spitting multiple spontaneous question at once having no relation to a questioned asked before. He considered whether or not to ask some of his own questions however his talkative friend seemed to be playing the part well enough.

Still with the slight suspicion of being followed Areon kept his attention keen just in case. Nothing. Only the howl of the wind carried sound waves into his eardrum with the exception of Nami’s faint voice. He sighed, almost a relief letting his concentration drop just a little. The open space, the air, just him alone his nerves calmed the further away he traveled from civilization. This moment was golden. Seems he will be returning later in a good mood.

Chasity smiled and laughed at the girls excitement. Nami and she were very similar, it was true, but it was still slightly strange to see a girl like this. She raised her eyebrows at the three questions. "The seasons? Ok... um... Autumn, hands down, is my favorite. Unless I'm in a place where the leaves don't change. They are my favorite part, so it's not my favorite unless they are present. And I pick Autumn instead of the others because of the leaves, colors, and the harvest that takes place. If not Autumn, though, I think I would like Spring best. It also is a time of harvest." She pressed her lips together into a thin line, anticipating the next question or questions. This was more fun than she had originally thought! <|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|>~~<|> Kendryek stood under the tree for a little while, around five minutes, before taking up the task of tracking Areon. It wasn't kids work, but it wasn't that hard either. Stirred leaves here, a broken twig there, even a shoe print every now and again. Smell would have helped, but in this form his smell was denied him. It was too bad really, that his only ability available to him in this form was his mind-speak. That was the only thing that wasn't physical. It was more of a mental trait. Sight would have been good too...
Looking up, Kendryek looked through the trees and saw Areon some yards away. He wasn't close to the teen, but he was close enough to see him relatively clearly. Areon seemed to be in a better mood now. So that was how he worked. He liked being alone and probably preffered quiet places. Oh well. This teen's 'peace' was going to be disturbed soon.
Now he walked forward clearly without even trying to conceal his movements. Areon would hear him anyway, and there was no reason to give him a reason to suspect Kendryek of being sneeky and caniving. As expected, Areon heard him approach and looked his way.
Kendryek nodded his greeting and said, "My name is Kendryek. If I recall correctly, you are Areon?" He hoped this was a good approach. Areon seemed the type that was even more quiet than he and even less likely to partake in conversation. Oh well. There wasn't a better way to communicate... with the exception of fighting, but that didn't seem the right approach at all right now!
