Draner was helping Zeus move the buck. It wasn't a completely full-grown one, because between the two of them, she doubted they could eat it all, and it would have been all wastful and stuff, and that was bad. So the dragged their kill to the stone gardens. It had been Zeus's idea, because personally the kitsune didn't see the point in killing their food then moving the food to another location. It wasted time and precious energy. But whatever, so long at it got eaten in the end. Draner stopped pulling once she had decieded this was a good a spot as any to stop and eat their lunch. Or whatever meal this thing was.

Once they sat down to there meal Zeus tried to make it as date like as possible.
it was hard being he had no money.
and girls liked dates didnt they?
Zeus was new to the whole dating thing and he didnt want to mess anything up.
not knowing what els to do Zeus ate his meal quietly.
after they finished Zeus offered a walk around the park.

Draner settled down to their little meal that Zeus had hunted and killed. It was true that girls liked dates. And as one of the female species, she like her companions liked dates. She assumed that's what this was since he went through all the trouble of moving their meal from where they caught all the way to the stone garden for scenery. She ate some of the food, backing away once she had eaten her fill. She relaxed for a little while and nodded at the offering of walking around the park.

While walking quietly Zeus enjoyed Drenars company.
they were walking so close in fact many times they brushed against each other.
the sun was quickly lowering and the afternoon turned to the evening.
the sun was red and the sky pink.
it was one of the rarest things you could see.
the world turned a peach color and the light seamed to glisten off of Drenars fur.
after some walking they found a nice place to sit and watch the sun set.\
siting down Zeus snuggled up to Drenar and reached for her hand.

The kitsune walked alongside Zeus around the park, basking in the slowily chilling evening. It was a beautiful sunset, the one that they saw as they marvelled at the stone statues that gave the garden its mysterious and wondrous name. After some time they came across a nice place to sit and relax as the sun went down the rest of the way. Draner smiled lightly andsnuggled back to him, giving him her paw, seeing that he was reaching for it. The young Frenchie in her mind, the one who rightfully owned this body she used, was laughing and singing, Beautiful Disaster in french. She had no idea what he was saying.

Sitting with Drenar had made Zeus feel something he has never felt.
but he couldn't describe it.
but here he was with the last person in the world that cared for him.
and he couldn't be happier.
there sitting under the sun holding hands were to creatures brought together by the love of nature and the compassion of friendships.
both could say nothing yet understand the other.
a bond truly unique.

Shifting slightly in order to make hurself more comfortable, Draner absorbed the final rays of sunlight into her body. After a minutes, they were enveloped in a veil of navy darkness. The stars twinkled and the night was till, slightly warm even. Feeling the spirit of the earth beneath he, the air around her, the stars above her, and the life beside her, she felt like she fit and like Zeus had done, she sang. It was a song about the stars and memories and the spirit of the winds--of everything really. Almost as though stirred by her voice, some of the twinkling stars began to fall.

Time seam to stop then and there.
it was as if there was a more powerful force at hand.
greatly moved by the song Zeus sang his.
the strange part was that the songs were different yet flowed perfectly together.
This became one of the moments Zeus wished would never end.
he was past happy.
he felt complete.
as if a hole in himself was filled.
but what really amazed Zeus is that he thought he saw his scar turn a pure white color
just like his eyes.
but if so it was only for a split second.

Draner noticed too how their sonds matched each other as though they were two parts of the same rhythm. It was as though it was something to show how they were. Even though they were so different they acted as though they were the same. Perhaps, in the grand scheme of things they had a simialr spirit. She'd heard of things like that--soul mates were such because they had spirits alike in dignity, deeper personas that matched. Maybe that was what this was inteneded to be. Even then she wasn't sure. Their songs ended on practically the same not and the stars stopped falling.

sitting silent among the dark shadows of the moon.
all was quiet as if every one had stoped to listen to there song.
but now nothing not even the wind spoke with it endless chat wit the trees.
all Zeus could do was sit and look at Drenar. in his mind he went through everything she was.
all the way from her shining fur to the very nature of her heart.
he analized every bit of data there was about her.
and the only words that came to mind were.
wow
all though diffrent the were alike in almost every way.
you could even say the same.
so Zeus said the very words that came to mind.

When their twin songs died away into the silence of the night, she simply looked on. Draner, as well as Renard, believed that everything has a soul, and that everything had a memory and a story. She respected the lives and existence of everything around her. She didn't kill without reason and stepped lightly on the grass so as no to break and damage the tender shoots. Draner often thought about Zeus, usually in the confusing roundabout manner girls did, and never came to a definitive anything about him. Even after all this he was still something of an enigma to her. When he said something (she was pretty sure it was wow) Draner turned to acknowledge it only to realize he was looking squarely at her. A soft smile graced her face and she responded, "Wow yourself."

Zeus watched her for a second then chuckled lightly.
with a sway Zeus bumped into Drenar with a silly smile.
then watched the stars for a little while.
it was getting late and then time was soon to come were they must leave to go home.
shall I walk you home or are we going to my den Zeus asked softly.
the wind started to pick up and the tempter was dropping rapidly.
but it didn't seam to bother Zeus for right now he had a warm heart.
he couldn't be happier even though the thought of his parents still hunted him.
it was a lot easer to get by with

Draner shivered lightly at the dropping temperatures, even though the sight of Zeus being silly warmed her insides considerably, her outsides were still frigid and cold. The Kitsune was always incredibly conscious of the time. She didn't want it to get too late before she left him to go to her dormroom. But why did she have to leave? Why did she have to go join all the other students in their dorms when she could just go to Zeus's den? Sure enough she was given that option and decided that she would stay with him tonight, only the second time since they'd met, and only because she didn't want to be in that room alone with only Renard for comfort. He wasn't very good comfort, especially since the scaredy cat jumped at every teeny tiny thing. She'd rather be with the big bad Chimera who was apparently always there to protect her so she could relax, if only for a little while. "I'll stay with you, if that's okay." she responded, nuzzling into his dark fur.

Hearing the words made Zeus even happier.
Many nights i got lonley in the den.
and at nights cold.
for what seamed like the longest time the just sat there cuddled together.
you could compare the two to the yin and yang.
both what they looked like and acted like.
there colors were like night and day yet the balanced each others.
after some time Zeus got up and helped Drenar off the warm ground were she had been sitting.
they walked silently under the stars and soft clouds.
not even the steps of the to foxes made a wispier.
but something wasnt right something was out of place in the woods.
feeling this Zeus became more awair but he didnt tell Drenar.
he didnt want her to worrie.
if worse came to worse he would let her Know.
but they were soon apon the den.
When the two reached the den they were in for a shock.
there were scratch marks all over the entrance and everything inside was thrown around.
something was looking for something or some one.

Draner liked laying there on the ground so long as it remained warm from her body heat and her warm stomach keeping it incubated. But she admitted that she was getting tired, so with a little of Zeus's help she rose from the ground and shook herself out a couple times before setting off the to Chimera's den. Their footfalls were light and nothing seemed to stir as they made their way through the trees and brush. Once they got to a certain point, the Kitsune jumped and her ears squashed down close to her head as an oppressive aura seemed to linger on the trees. She made herself keep walking, convinced that the aura would pass if they just kept walking. But instead it got stronger until they were right at his den. The walls and entrance was covered by scratch marks, and everything inside was tossed around higgedly-piggedly. It--whatever "it" was--was probably searching for Zeus. Either him or something Zeus owned. Why else would it have gone through the trouble of searching out his den and ripping it apart from top to bottom? Her tails lifted and her eyes glowed. For now, as long as the thing wasn't in the den, she could banish the back aura, if only for a little while. Draner felt like she recognized the aura, but it wasn't from the mountain. It was similar, something definitely in the same class, but not the same demon.
