Draner was exhausted. The pulses were not something she could do easily, because it was not her own power. It was something the Supreme Mother had lent to her in an attempt to help her calm him down. It hadn't worked, and more trees fell around her. Draner managed to jump out of the way of one trees. She tried to make another pulse, but her wasted energy on illusions and first one, which hadn't been enough to stop him. More trees fell around her, and she continued to dodge them. When she was finally exhausted, she collapsed and closed her eyes. Another tree nearby fell. Draner tried to move, but she couldn't. Her energy was absolute zero. All that trouble to makes sure she wasn't killed and she would be crushed by Zeus himself.

Irony.

While looking around Zeus saw Drenar on the ground leg crushed by the tree.
This struck him deep.
like a long dagger into the heart.
but it was also unuf for Zeus to regain control.
After changing back to his original form Zeus ran to Drenar.

What have I done.
i destroyed the very thing i swore to protect.
i killed my only family left.
Why did i let the anger get the better of me.
Drenar please come back please.
Don't die don't leave me.
I care to much for you.
with so much pain in his heart Zeus wept.
he wept for his foolishness.
he wept for what he did to the forest.
and most of all he wept for the loss of Drenar.
bending low to Drenars ear he said
please say here don't leave.
i care to much for you to leave.
and most of all i think I love you.
then he began to weep again.

She felt blinding pain assail her body, but she managed to hold on through it. Draner let her eyes stay closed. Having to deal with Zeus's insane anger rampage wouldn't help her leg heal. If anything it would probably make it worse. So she lay there, trying to use as little energy as possible, willing her body to repair her leg. She couldn't hunt with her leg like this.

But the kitsune heard crying. She wanted to open her eyes and tell Zeus that she was alright. But like her willing her energy into the broken bones of her leg, she had none to afford to the simple task of opening her eyes. Not yet anyway.

So she lay there and heard his saddened voice speak. Draner listened, and when he came to say that it was possible that he loved her, the kitsune stopped breathing for a moment. After a little bit she eased her eyes open and saw Zeus weeping nearby. Before she could even say that she was alive and well, a scalding hot knife of pain sliced through her leg.

"Owwwww!" she yelped, hitting the tree with her untrapped hind leg.

hearing the yelp was like music to his ears.
ironic as that was he was just glad Drenar was still breathing.
after cutting the log smaller Zeus heaved the heavy tree off her leg.
checking Drenar s leg he found it to be broken in 5 different places.
not an easy heal at all it would take a great amount of time for the bones to mend.
From living his life in the woods Zeus taught him self what herbs helped and witch hurt.
finding a few rare herbs (lucky) he wound the plants around her leg.
this will numb your leg 100%.
after the herbs were tightly tied around the foxes leg he picked her up and walked to the den.


Sleep now Drenar all the trouble is gone im back again.
you should rest your head.
as he walked slowly to make sure he didn't hit anything or trip Zeus began to sing his song of spring.
when he reached the den Zeus walked in with the fox still in his arms.
gently he layed her down on the bed of rubbish still sining he wrapped the vixens leg in the hold cloth.
and to hold it straight he put to branches on the side.
after he was all done he lied next to Drenar and kept singing till she fell asleep.
only then did he rest as well

Draner stopped kicking at the tree when it didn't move but instead made her leg hurt infinitesimally more. She didn't want to aggravate it more and cause herself more pain than what was totally necessary. While Zeus cut up the log, Draner thanked the Supreme Mother. Even though this was something she would have never thought would happen, Draner deeply believed that this was what she planned. Everything that happened in this world happened for a reason. The Kitsune believed that the Supreme Mother was that reason.

When the heavy log was rolled off and her leg freed, Draner scarcely gave herself time to think about how happy she was. Her leg throbbed painfully, and it brought tears to her eyes. She couldn't hunt like this! Then the spiritual female's face fell. She couldn't reapply her skin like this either. Whenever she was injured like this, putting the skin on or taking it off became tricky. Guess she'd be missing class for some time then.

She tried not to yell out as even the slightest pressure on her crushed leg caused her immeasurable agony. Once it was wrapped around her leg, the pain seemed to vanish. Well, it did so long as she didn't try and move it around too much.

Draner relaxed against Zeus's body as she was carried back to the den to rest. The Spirit of the Forest was injured and angry, but there wasn't much that she could do about that. Once they returned to his den he bandaged her up a bit more and she got into as comfortable as a position that she could manage with her messed up leg. She nuzzled against him.

"I love you too." she whispered before falling asleep.
