Well, wasn't this turning out to be a good night? Apparently she had finally found something interesting to do in this school. I mean, fighting trolls and bugganes was entertaining enough, but sometimes she'd prefer less menial work. Or at least a different form of it.
It's not that she was one of those girls. No, she was sure she wasn't. But who didn't want to have a little fun now and then? And especially with someone who actually knew the game. It appeared as though almost everyone in the school was either too apathetic or too naive to know how it's played. Everyone. Take Z for instance...
Wait... What about Z? Was she wrong to be doing this? For some reason, he seemed to have gotten the idea that they were in a relationship. Well, what was a relationship, anyway? I mean, they were just friends, right? Nothing more? Of course nothing more. She had never had anything more than friendship. Even now, this boy in front of her was merely an acquaintance. That was all. Perhaps it would turn into something more. But just slightly. After all, guys like Moss were only good for one night... Maybe two.
Returning her attention to the matter at hand, she flipped another piece of hair out of her face.
"Is that so? Yes, I've seen quite a few pretty amusing things myself... And I'd love to see even more."
Once again, she chuckled to herself. Only this time it was different. Actually, it was more like a cross between a chuckle and a purr. Apparently some of her cat-like instincts were revealing themselves.

"Let me guess what you're thinking at this very moment." Moss said, putting a finger to his head. He closed his eyes and focused. He couldn't really read her mind, he could read no minds at all, but with girls, they tended to think the same way. People thought guys were 2D? Girls were almost equally as 2D, you just need to think about it the right way.
Throughout this entire conversation, his voice was never more than a courting, seductive purr. He knew something that most girls didn't know about themselves--they tend to be lured toward soft, gentle, and calm-sounding noises."You're thinking that guys like me are only good for one night stands. Maybe two nights if you've hooked a good one. Am I close?"
He smiled, his eyelids lowering. He too had taken on an aspect of a cat, sly, feral, and hunting. An easy transition always made a world of difference--if you pounce on a girl immediately, it was almost never a good idea. You had to ease them into it. This time it had only taken a couple hours. The longest he had to work on a single girl was a month or two. When he hunted a girl he took it seriously, and he didn't hunt for months for one special night.
Of course, it was an extreme comfort that this girl was a Mythical Creature like himself... and the fact that this was so made it so much easier. The fact that she was a chimera made it only easier still, because it meant that she would be tolerant of other species. It should mean that, anyway.
But even if she wasn't, it was nothing too bad. He had pursued her for only an hour or two, he didn't need her to go to bed with him. It really didn't matter.
"I think you should know that I'm a bit... different. I wouldn't waste my time courting a girl to have her for a single night."
That same smile, although he released the predatory part of it. It became his normal, run-of-the-mill, undressing-you-with-my-eyes lecherous smile.

Her eyes widened slightly in surprise as he simply bumped everything up to the next level rather abruptly. Even more surprising was the fact that he seemed to be able to read her mind. Perhaps his species could do that? No... He smelled of the woods. That oughta rule out mindreading. Perhaps he was just that perceptive.
He watched intently, with enough intensity that would cause most girls to look away. However, Illia only met his gaze. So he claimed he was different? Hm... Well, that complicated things a bit. Illia had to wonder if she wanted anything more than a one-night stand. Again, she'd never had anything more... Though he did make a certain amount of sense.
"Really? Hm, I suppose I see where you're coming from..."
So apparently he wasn't quite on of those guys as she had originally thought... Or at least he brought things to an entirely new level. But what to do? Did she want this? It sounded... Strange. Then again... Sometimes strange was a good thing. Oh, yes, sometimes strange was a very good thing.
"Mm, well I do like to try different flavors..."
Her smile returning, she leaned in further still, focusing the full force of her intense, emerald eyes upon him. Why not give it a shot? After all, you never really know what something's like until you try it yourself.

Moss continued to smile in the same way. Mm, so she liked different flavors? That was certainly an interesting thing to know. He had a rather... unique flavor. But hey, it would be nice, wouldn't it? His first long term relationship with this lovely? Hm, not a bad prospect, as she definitely looked like the type person whom would be good to enjoy over and over again. But then again...
"Different flavors? Yes, what fun would life be without a cesspool of flavors? Some people like to sample until they find their favorite. Some--like myself, I'm not going to lie--prefer to sample all the flavors." Moss smiled and glanced to the ceiling as the lights came back on. Was the movie over already? He glanced from side to side, and found that everyone was leaving. Hm. The had whiled away the two hours talking, and he was very satisfied with how far he had gotten.
Moss stood and stretched, feeling his back pop a bit. Damn, sitting the way he had been to talk to this girl was very uncomfortable, and his legs seemed to have fallen asleep. He looked at a clock hanging nearby. Whoa, it was LATE! He needed to get some sleep or he would definitely sleep in, and that would get him whooped. Bad.
Tonight he wouldn't be able to have this girl, and it was a darn shame, 'cause he wanted to. But hey, they went to the same school. And all the grades had break and lunch at the same time. They could pick this up around break time tomorrow.
He glanced at her and winked. "It's been a joy talking to you, Illia."

Illia was leaning closer still now, almost out of her chair as she listened to Moss' reply. Inhaling his strange scent she came ever closer to figuring out what type of creature he was. Was that bear? If it was, then it should be easy to figure out. There weren't many types of bear creatures here.
Then, quite suddenly, the entire room was lit. A drastic change from how dark the room had been mere moments ago. Blinking in the light, she fell back into her chair and looked at the screen. Was the movie over already? She didn't realize that they had been talking for the better part of 2 hours. It seemed like mere minutes.
Looking over, she noticed Moss had stood up. Apparently, he was prepared to leave. Alone. She only blinked up at him, though this time the lights had nothing to do with it.
"Oh... Okay..?"
She arched her eyebrows in a confused manner as she leaned back in her seat. So... That was it? After all that, he was just leaving? Without her? It wouldn't be a stretch to say that she didn't quite understand his mindset. Just what was he thinking?
With that, she remained in her seat, staring up at the blank screen, determined to figure this out. She hadn't gotten much thinking done here, and now she had even more to think about than before. Well, at least she had plenty of time to do that now in a quiet, empty movie theater. She'd just sit there until she had everything worked out. Or the manager came to throw her out. Whichever came first.

Moss had nearly made it to the door, when he turned and realized that Illia wasn't following him. He rolled his eyes. Honestly, were girls always this dense. He backtracked up the steps to the back row where they had been sitting. She was there, staring at a blank movie screen silently... just staring. his sighed slightly, his own breath tickling his lips.
"Illia, the movies over and its late. Don't you think we... should be getting back to campus?" He asked, his skin once again slipped and his eyes flickered for a fraction of a second into their bright red form before going right back to normal. The theater was empty, yes, that much was true, but one could never be sure when a curious human would poke their head 'round the bend.
He really wanted to go to his dorm and shed his skin... or maybe they could sneak into the woods. It was past the human's bedtime--it should be safe, right?
He yawned and watched her from his peripherals to make sure she was getting up to leave.

Confusion still plastered across her face, she hadn't moved from her spot. Not even as she heard someone's footsteps approaching. Not even as she heard the footsteps stop. It wasn't until she heard him speak that she looked up.
Her anger quickly dissolving into something in between relief and annoyance, she rose to her feet, stretching her arms out in front of her. Apparently, she wasn't able to decode his last words as well as she had done for the others. A shame. Did this mean that she lost the game?
"Ah... Yes, I suppose it is about time to head back."
Replacing her smile, she trotted over to him. Once she reached him she allowed her hand to trail across his back and over his shoulders as she stepped slightly in front of him.
"But next time don't go from being so forward back to this subtle innuendo. Once I know where something's going, I want to get there. That's it."
With a small giggle, she turned and walked ahead of him, slowly and alluringly. She had to turn her head slightly to make sure that he was following. She didn't have 2 pairs of eyes in this form.

He shrugged. That was the way he worked. Judging by the look on her face, she couldn't catch the innuendo he had snuggled comfortably into his words. That was okay. That meant he had outwitted her, and that made him feel good. He would feel rather sore, losing his most beloved game to another, but it seemed that that would not happen. Indeed, it may not ever happen, since she was the first and possibly the only to know how to play the game, and he'd defeated her.
He kept in step a foot or so behind her. The view from the back wasn't half bad either, her slow steps allowed him time to survey her in light of the theater instead of clasping at straws in the dark. These stupid human eyes. Who ever heard of a creature that couldn't see well in the dark? Humans were built so weird.
They walked past the concession stand and he managed to control his want for more overpriced popped corn. Geez, he finally understood why humans loved movies so much. It had nothing to do with movies in general, more to do simply with the delicious popped corn one could ingest while there.
For the first time in a bit, he met her eyes. She was looking over her shoulder, making sure he was following. Of course he was following--hadn't she listened when he said that he never wasted his time in persuing a girl?
Another yawn blossomed out of him, and he felt a little upset. Instead of talking to this woman, he could have been getting himself some sleep. But then his pervy grin returned. If he had decided to sleep, then he would only be dreaming about what he could do tonight, but now, he could be doing what he would be dreaming about.
Interesting how the universe worked.

As she passed the concession stands, Illia suddenly realized how thirsty she was. Which was understandable, as she had been talking straight through a two hour movie without anything to drink. Well, that didn't really matter right now.
Stepping outside, she deeply inhaled the moist, night air. There was just the right amount of chill in the air. Just perfect for a creature like her. Taking off her jacket, she slung it over one of her shoulders. She never had an actual reason for wearing jackets... Except for the fact that they looked good. Fashionable over functional, right?
With a sigh, she leaned against the wall of the cinema, waiting for Moss to exit. Perhaps she was just a little impatient. But, hey, she'd always lived life in the fast lane. She always started and ended everything rather quickly. Well, maybe not everything.
"So... To the dorms, then? Lead the way."
She was finished playing the game for now. Sure it was fun, but now it was over and she wanted her prize. Even if it was more of a consolation prize. It still worked for her.

He waggled his eyebrows slightly. He had ensnared this one in his trap, and it seemed that she didn't mind being there. Or, maybe, they were caught in the other's trap, equally ensnared. Moss had never been caught before, he was the one that did the catching.
He took the lead in front of her, and felt the air. He felt dreadfully overdressed, even though all he wore was a tee-shirt, a green one with a white X on it and a pair of pants. He wanted to strip down, out of this accursed skin and lumber around, frighten the humans with his clanking chain and make them feel his misery. He wasn't miserable, no, but there was some kind on genetic misery that came with being a Barghest.
But hey, he guessed he'd better get used to it. He thought for a couple minutes and figured that they should go to his dorm. His Dormmates didn't mind--they slept with earplugs in. He glanced to the female he would be spending the night with. He formed his ideal night in his head and wondered if it would go anything like that. What did it matter, anyway.
With a smile, he walked towards the school, nice, confident strides. Wht reason did have not to be confident? So the two walked and walked until they reached to dorms, to have a rather... um... "eventful" night.
