Takara was sitting on the ground by the lake, letting her toes skim the water. It was a few hours after classes had ended and she decided she deserved a little relaxation time. School always dragged on during days like this.
It was nearly dusk now, the moon being seen in one position, the sun setting in another. The sky different colors and shades of blue, violet, and orange. The clouds taking a blue tint rather than the orange on the horizon.
Although this was a beautiful sight, Takara wasn't seeing it. Simply dazing out looking in its direction. She was fingering her gem, a move of comfort. Running her fingers on its smooth surface, feeling the cold chain that connected to it.
Her breathing was low, making it hard for someone to know she was there unless they looked at her. Her hair surrounded her like a blanket, taking some highlights from the sun and the moon.
It wouldn't be long now before she decided to change into her other form and run about just to feel the wind in her fur. What she wouldn't give for that simple pleasure.
She sighed almost inaudibly.
