Chase was glad that Erzbet didn't ask about what he was in more depth. Chase could sense that there was something wrong but he didn't ask her if anything was.

"I'm sorry." She said, managing to hold her tears back. The subject of her father was a toucy one, even inside her own head. The sun was fully up now. She had nowhere she wanted to be, but here. Unfortunately, there were classes to attend. The teachers wouldn't get too angry if she skipped, would they? Just one day. "I should be getting ready for class." She said without moving. She really did not want to go to class.

Chase looked at Erzbet and said "Okay". Chase watched Erzbet to see if she would leave first r if he would leave first.
