Miriel laughed at Damions comment. “Hmm I believe that that would be a hard thing for you to do, plus how would I live without my best friend and lover? I guess I will have to hide his name forever. After all I can’t have you going on a rage. But I will tell you that he is nearby.” She nudged him playfully. “As for thanks, you just wait.”
When Damion started talking about being able to stand him Miriel’s face sobered and she very seriously answered. “That’s true... You are an awfully hard person to get along with.” A smile was causing the mask of seriousness to slip. It struggled to stay hidden but then it broke free. “But I suppose I could get along with you, eventually.” She frowned and faced him, this time the seriousness was real. “If I ever have a time that anger should cover over my love for you, know that even the darkest clouds pass over time and allow the loving sun to break through.” She smiled slightly at him and stared off at the lake. It still caused her stomach to twist with fear.
At the mention of the rosy hue on her cheeks Miriel covered her face with her hands. “Oh, blast the color pink.” She she tried to calm herself when Damion offered his hand. Oh it was useless. Grasping it she stood up, the cool nature of his hand sent the color of her cheeks away. A smile flashed on her face, glad of the absence of the color. “Thanks.” Looking into his blue eyes for a moment she continued. “Yes, let’s go talk to our.....friends.” Not allowing the fact that she didn’t really remember these friends phase her she set her face towards them and headed down. - “Well, perhaps..” Ares ran his hand through his hair once more. “But it seemed to happen all of a sudden. I guess her loosing her memory didn’t change anything.” He laughed slightly at Jaedon’s question about spring. “Spring, Jaedon, has everything to do with it. It is the birth of life again, through a cold winter. Creatures of the world awaken to another year and crawl out of their little burrows, flowers poke their heads through the earth and seem to ask ‘Is winter gone?’. Couples are made in spring.” He laughed. “Who knows.” He smiled mischievously at her, “Perhaps you are next.”
“I understand your dilemma. Bread isn’t nearly as satisfying as meat. It’s almost like pure water compared to watered down salt water. Though why are you staying away from meat? It isn’t the killing process is it?” When she let off a string of curses Ares let his gaze fall to her leg. “What have you done now?” Then as his gaze turned to Miriel, who was approaching he began again. “You know...” He was going to say ‘Miriel could fix it if you asked real nice’, but there was something that stopped him. Perhaps it was the way she was trying to disguise it, or perhaps it was the fact that out of all of them, Jaedon knew that Miriel could heal. “If you stand just right and just use it to keep your balance, and could hide the fact that your leg is hurt.”

Damion raised an eyebrow as he stared at her. “Lover?” He looked down at the ground for a second and then glanced back up at her, “That is cruel. Now I am going to have to kill him. I don’t think I could bear if anyone else had your attention.” Then he put on a pouting face, deep disappointment clear in his face, showing that he was fixing to whine. “But I don’t wanna wait!” he then gave a big grin and started to pull at the grass.
He laughed at her. Not because of what she said, but rather because she was failing so miserably at hiding her smile. He was sure of it now, Miriel couldn’t hide her smile at all, it was quite impossible. If she wanted to hide it she would have to cover her mouth with her hand. “You really need to learn how to hide your reactions.” When her smile faded he listened with intensity. He nodded at what she said and then noticed that she was looking at the lake. “What is so captivating about the lake? You hate water.”
Damion walked over to where Ares and Jaedon were with Miriel. He offered his hand to Ares in greeting with a chipper, “How are you good sir?” and then he looked at Jaedon, a coldness filling his face and his eyes. His anger with her was still raging a war within him, causing him not to notice that he was skipping over the pained expression on her face, which she wiped away as fast a possible so that Damion and Miriel wouldn’t notice. He turned from Jaedon, not even saying anything to her, and spoke to Ares. “What brings you out here this fine spring day?”
Jaedon just stared blankly at Ares. She knew what he was talking about, in words, but she couldn’t say that she had ever experienced the joy that he was speaking of. Perhaps this was just one more piece of proof that she was hopeless. “I wouldn’t know anything of spring if it is as you say.” She was very matter of fact, not mean, not sweet, just matter of fact. She really wouldn’t know. When she heard the next statement she gave a sigh, became slightly dejected and her countenance clearly dropped. “Please don’t joke about that...” She kicked the ground with the leg that was hurt, not caring what it did. She was mentally extracting the pain from her thoughts, so she didn’t really care anymore. “You remember what happened last time right? I don’t want to start another war.” She mumbled a little lower, but still audible, “Not that Damion would care so much any more. He is still mad at me.”
Ares hadn’t known that she was going on her meat fast, actually none of her friends did. She only nodded at what he said, and made sure that she didn’t let anything else out other than a nod. She really wanted to explode about the whole problem, but that was a definite no. When he asked about her leg she glared at him and bit out, “Nothing.” She became very defensive all of the sudden. She didn’t want him to see what had really happened. She didn’t want him to know that a good half of her leg had been cut out, all the way down to the bone, which was a little more than slightly fractured. It had bled forever, but when it had finally stopped, Jaedon saw the real damage and had had to sew it together. IT had been threatening to rip apart all day, and so she had hoped to take it easy, but she just couldn’t take being inside for any longer than she already had been. It had just been last night that she had fixed it, and she shouldn’t have been walking, but she was defying all sense within her. While she had been walking to the lake she was wondering what it would be like to bleed to death. She smiled, appreciating his advice. He was showing her kindness now, and so, for once in a long time, a bright and dazzling smile came out, and Ares was in its direct light. The light died quickly though, because Damion and Miriel were finally close now.
Her previous mutterings were confirmed by Damion’s cold greeting towards her which was little more than a heartless stare. Damion was doing it to manipulate her, and she knew it, but it was slowly becoming effective. She had taught him her trade very well. She turned from him and Miriel just slightly, staring off at the lake, wishing that she were somewhere else, and deep in thought. Did she have the strength to do this now...? What would Miriel do? Jaedon felt tears welling up in her eyes but she choked them back as her heart grew hard. She had known ever since the coffee shop what was going to happen. She was going to tell Miriel and then die, of her own free will. She was slowly silencing every fear that was inside of her and changing them into the perfect plan. She knew where she would start, now where would she go from there...?

Miriel laughed at his reactions. They were so like him, or what she had gotten to know him as. All right and play and teasing. Actually it was nice to see a true smile on his face, there was something natural about it. Almost as if the past couple of days had consisted of a mask of sorrow over him. A mask that Miriel felt she had created. But now it seemed like it had shattered on the ground.
When Damion had asked about the lake Miriel stared at the lake moodily. “Do I? I feel like it is dangerous but I can’t figure out why. Why would water be something that strikes such fear in my hear.t It’s puzzling. Yes, it kills fire, but why even in my human form does it frighten me so?” She shook her head. “I even have a memory about swimming in it when I was young....but that was long.....long ago.” She shook her head and reached for Damions hand, giving it a squeeze. “But let’s not think about that now...”
When they were close to the others Miriel still hung back a little. But a strange feeling filled her. Pain, someone was in pain near her. Her eyes immediately went to Damion, but it couldn’t be him. Then to Ares, no he was too happy, then to Jaedon. Cocking her head to the side she felt the sensation grow stronger within her head. “Jaedon, right?” She took a step closer. “Are you ok?” Confusion was written all over her face. Usually she couldn’t sense others pain unless they were very close to her, very close. Jade eyes ran down Jaedon’s figure for a moment, searching. “Are you in pain?” Her eyes focused on her leg before snapping back up to her face. She took another step forward.
- The bright smile that broke through Jaedon’s usually dark face brought a warm feeling to his heart. But that moment didn’t last long and soon it was covered in darkness once more. But the thing that confused him was, why did it have to do with the approach of friends? Had there been a fight? Yes there was that time before, but surely they had resolved that by now. After all they should be thinking of MIriel not themselves.
Ares gripped Damion’s hand with a firm handshake. “Just thought I would take a little walk! There is nothing so relaxing as walking with a cool breeze and the bright sun. Seems like you had the same idea eh?”

Damion laughed and got a slightly abashed look on his face. “Yeah...That was my purpose when I first came out here.” He was not embarrassed, just feeling a little silly for getting so carried away. He would let it happen again any time though. “It is a lovely day though.” Then, in the silence he thought about something that had been bugging him slightly. “Hey, have you seen or talked to Neron lately? I saw him not too long ago, but I usually see him around a lot. He should be doing much better now.” Right as he was about to continue something interrupted him. He turned and stared in wonder at the dark figure of Jaedon.
Jaedon had hardly heard Miriel, but when she started to step closer, Jaedon became aware very quickly. She knew it. She knew that this was the time. It was time for her cold heart to show its true colors. There was no way that she was going to back down now. She had been a coward for the past few months, running from everything, but now it was time to fess up and carry on. She inhaled quickly, feeling her heart going back to the day when she first told Miriel this. She remembered exactly what she said. ”What is wrong little girl? Are you sad because the mean girl is here? Where’s your daddy when you need him, huh? Why isn’t he here to help his little girl? Well get over it girl. Parents are never around when you need them, you are better of without them.”[/b] Her words had been so hateful, so cold...She had smiled a crooked and evil smile after these phrases. ”And then there is the awful problem that the mean girl killed your daddy. So he can’t answer your calls for help...That is right. Your old man fell for it and downed one of the Peace-makers nasty poisons, and I promise you that he ain’t gonna come home tonight.”[/b] Jaedon knew that is how she was fixing to behave towards Miriel, and she knew that it was going to rip her heart in two as well as Miriel’s, but there was nothing left to do. Forgive me Miriel. Jaedon thought silently.
She turned to Miriel suddenly, now that Miriel was so close to her, she had her chance. This was going to have to happen just like it did a long time ago. As soon as she turned to Miriel, she gave a hard shove to knock Miriel to the ground. “Yes, little girl, I am just fine.” her voice was cold and cruel. “The taste of blood is fresh in my mouth, and I can assure you that it has never tasted so good.” Jaedon’s eyes began to go black as she entered Miriel’s mind, showing her pictures of the night that Jaedon had done the deed, but she mixed them with separate memories. They were pictures of her sword sliding across someones neck, of a hole in a mans stomach the size of a baseball with multiple daggers still filling the hole. The other part was taken up with bullets. Then puddles of blood left behind from said injuries. Then a picture of Miriel’s father lying cold and dead on the floor, blood draining from his nose where Jaedon had taken the pleasure of venting on the old man as the poison slowly took its full effect and the poor phoenix was left helpless and immobile. It didn’t take long for Jaedon to push these through Miriel’s mind. And then she began to speak in her mind as well as out loud. They were the same, but they were reverberating in her mind. “I killed him little girl, in cold blood. I watched as the poison made it to where he couldn’t move, and then as fear filled his eyes as I began to have my own fun with him, something that we assassins get very rarely. The last thing that I did was watch and laugh as he died the most painful death that is available for a phoenix.” Jaedon smirked, her black eyes showing their great amusement. “Then I thought, this dear man is Miriel’s father...I should pay my respects to her, so I cut his heart out and brought it with me, just for you.” Right then a picture of a heart in a glass jar rushed through, and was forced into Miriel’s mind. “But I’m afraid I dropped it into the lake, so don’t be expecting his fire to ever come back to life ever again.” Jaedon smiled and put one last hit into the speech. “What’s wrong little girl? Are you scared?”Jaedon’s eyes stayed like black pearls for a while and then she looked away as the red waves swept the black away. She staggered back and then, like a lost puppy started to take small steps away from Miriel, unsure of where to go, what to do, or what should happen after this. She was fixing to go insane. Her hands were shaking uncontrollably, tears were flowing with free reign, and her heart ached worse than words could say. She had only gone a little ways away before she collapsed on the ground and started to rock back and forth craddling her head in her hands. Her whole body was now shaking into a fit.

Miriel had a worried expression on her face until Jaedon forced her onto the ground and something in her head, something that made the spring day and the lovely day fade into a distant dream. Her face went a ghastly pale, and her eyes went wide with surprise. Pictures were being forced in her mind but she couldn’t remember how to put up fortifications to defend herself. So she was left to Jaedon’s harmful touch.
On the ground, hands holding her head as memories rushed back upon her. But they were bad, all bad. Killing, hurting, death, fighting, all rushed over her senses. Tears streamed down her cheeks freely, as her fists balled up in anger and pain. The time for mixed emotions faded and for a moment she stayed very still. Her father had died, but not by anyone but her friend...her friend.
Miriel’s head raised and her face was pale, but not from weakness but rather from anger. Tears still crowded her eyes as her voice came forth shaking. “You...assassin...you murderer. My father died because of you. ” She rose to her feet, fists by her side and her body increasing in heat. “I remember now, I remember what you did.” Those green eyes of hers, usually a soft jade, were now a blazing green, lashing and flaming out at Miriel. Her entire mind’s defenses erupted in super nova like flames, scorching any foreign presence if it still remained. “You will pay you worthless dog...you will pay.” Miriel’s anger was about to go out of hand if she wasn’t stopped soon. It didn’t matter that her best friend was cowering on the ground, in pain, Miriel’s sight was beginning to be blinded by rage.
----
Ares was shocked, completely dumbfounded. What was going on? Why did Jaedon’s emotions suddenly flip? IT was then that he realized something, especially since Miriel proclaimed it. Jaedon was an assassin. “Could it be?” Ares’s blue eyes stared at Jaedon in disbelief. “No...” But he knew it was true. Why hadn’t he seen it before? The dark features, the slinking nature, the cold feeling. Perhaps it was because he couldn’t believe that Miriel could have such a friend. So he had doubted his better judgement. Anger started wreathing in his soul. An assassin, why? WHY! Those bright blue eyes darkened to a dangerous blue. ----
Neron had been wandering around, wondering where everyone was, but glad he hadn’t seen any of them. It had been a couple of days, but already his form was looking better. Food had helped his skin to look a bit healthier, his eyes were no longer blood shot, and the dark halos around his eyes had faded. Sleep, what a wonderful thing and he had finally been able to experience it.
But then a picture of confusion came upon him. Damion, Miriel, and Ares stood around each other. Jaedon was on the ground in pain and horror, Ares was in shock, disbelief, and anger, and Damion was just standing there. But it was MIriel that set his feet to a faster pace, she was mad, very mad, something that he didn’t like seeing. “ Miriel don’t!” His deep voice rolled over the air like thunder.

Damion was staring, completely unable to speak. What had just happened? Out of no where, Jaedon had...Jaedon had done the one thing that Damion had been angry at her for. She had...His face stayed shocked and confused for a second longer and then he softened. Dear Jaedon... he felt tears sting his eyes. this is how I know that you are not as bad as everyone thinks. You did this against your heart...You knew how much this was going to hurt you, and you did it anyways. He shook his head slightly as he stared at the dark figure rocking back and forth by the lake. How could I have been so angry with you? So mean? You truly are a friend when no one else can light the way. He let his breath out in a ragged gasp as his soul turned in turmoil within him. He was never going to forget this. Now all he could do is pray that it worked. That was when he looked to Ares and saw his dark features. He was angry.
“Ares, don’t be angry with Jaedon. It happened a long time ago. She is simply bringing it up now so that Miriel will remember, and get her memories back.” He choked at the end of the statement. “She actually did it.” He could hardly believe it, but he knew that it was true at the same time. “She isn’t meaning all of the stuff that she is doing right now.”
Damion had not turned to see how angry Miriel was, but Jaedon had. She knew the wrath that was to follow. She had felt it once before. She was shaking too bad to move at the moment. Come on Jaedon, you have got to pull yourself together! You know that Miriel is fixing to try and fight you, you know it. This is deja vu, it has been before! Get up, pull yourself together. If you falter now, she won’t believe you. And so, Jaedon forced herself to her feet to turn and face Miriel. She had wiped the tears from her face and her stony personality came back, but at a great cost. Jaedon was losing what was left of her heart. It was dying...it had been dying a little bit each day since she had found out who that phoenix was, since she had remembered...She gasped as her leg started to want to give way, but she fought against it, keeping herself sturdy and strong.
“That’s right, you little daddy’s girl, I am the mean assassin that has ruined all of your dreams. Come and give to me. Give me all you got baby girl, show this dog who’s boss, if you can.” Jaedon was urging her on, just like she had when this had first happened. “I don’t think you can. You can’t can you? You are just to weak. A little weakling who depended on daddy for everything. Well guess what, this witch in front of you just tossed you into reality. It is a shame that I have to kill you too, because then I could keep you there.” She choked on the word kill in the last sentence, a single tear falling from her eyes to the ground, leaving its trail as a scar.

Ares nodded but he didn’t understand as much as Damion probably had hoped. After all he had a deep, ingrained hatred for assassins. It was something from his past that he never talked about. Even still he restrained himself and stood their, his eyes a moody blue and glared at Jaedon. - Miriel felt more pain as the memories started flashing back to her at a rapid pace. “Shut up.” She flew into a rage, literally. Her skin dissolved and there before them was a Phoenix white with fury and her wings laced with blue and green fire. Not a pretty sight. But she had trouble staying in the air, the memories blinded her, and caused her only to get angrier and angrier. Yet as her rage was at its fullness and she dove for Jaedon. She wouldn’t miss her, no she could latch onto that wretched panther with her talons and pull her apart.
--
Neron could tell what was coming. Shedding his skin he leaped into the air and smashed into Miriel at full force. Crashing her into the ground. “Miriel stop! Stop! This is all behind you. Don’t you remember? Jaedon is your friend, she’s your friend!” His green eyes flared with urgency. Her flames were starting to seep through his scales and burn him. --
Miriel struggled under the strong grasp of Neron. Slamming against the ground had not made her mood any pleasanter. “Get off me you despicable lizard. Neron go away, you aren’t going to ruin this fight for me this time. Just because I saved your life doesn’t mean you can stop me form getting my revenge. After all you have had your fill of revenge, let me have mine.”
Neron shook her and pressed her harder against the ground. “It is because I have had my revenge that I am stopping you. I will not let you go through the same thing I have.” - “Let go!” She leaned forward and bit him on the arm, right at the weak point where it had been fractured. A sour smile came across her face. She had remembered his wound. She had remembered everything.....

When Miriel came at her, Jaedon put up a strong wall of magic that would stop Miriel from tearing her to shreds. Right when she thought about what to do next, Neron came in between the two of them and took Miriel to the ground. Jaedon couldn’t help but give a sigh of relief and anger at the same time. She wished that Neron had not done that, she knew that he was still too weak, Miriel would hurt him for sure. There was no point to him getting hurt in this mess, because it was Jaedon’s original sin. She glanced over to where Ares and Damion were. Damion looked as though he had forgiven her, and that made her happy, but Ares...Ares looked as though he hated her very soul. She looked away from him even more misery welling upon her face. Her figure began to droop even more. She knew that she didn’t have the strength to do this. Miriel would probably end up killing her, whether she meant to or not.
Damion saw Miriel lose her skin and knew that this was it...This was when he would have to fill his end of the bargain and help Jaedon. He began to walk over to where Miriel was, calm and assured, but then, Neron came. Damion was relieved, because he knew that he would not be calming Miriel down alone. Damion watched as Neron kept Miriel pinned to the ground rather effectively, but that wasn’t going to hold for long. Suddenly, a flurry of white wrapped around him, like a small, snowy tornado. It began to grow in size at an increasingly quick rate until his skin was completely gone, and the magnificent ice dragon stood where the white haired man had once been. When Miriel bit down on Neron’s arm, Damion winced, knowing that it had been deliberate and that it was going to hurt. He went over the two and landed close to Miriel.
“Listen to him Miriel. Jaedon is your friend, has been for a long time. You got over that a long time ago, you forgave her, you healed her, you showed kindness to her. Just let it go Miriel. The only reason that she brought it back up is so that you would remember, and now you do, so why are you being like this?” His deep voice was gentle, soothing. “If you keep this up Neron and I will stop you. Think about it Miriel. Is it really worth another fight? Let it go.”
As Neron and Damion began to handle Miriel Jaedon took the opportunity to relax slightly. She let her shield go lax a little, not so fully involved and she started to move away, but to get to her destination, she would have to go past Ares. She was praying that whatever it was that had ticked him off was not something that had to do with her, or if it was, that he wouldn’t let it get under his skin. She was so tired, and in pain, and she felt as though her entire soul was dying. What was she going to do? What could she do? She knew what she was going to do, but she had yet to do it...

Neron held back a roar of pain, stifling it to a mere grunt. Yet even through the pain he kept her pinned. Damion was coming over, thank goodness. Hopefully he would be able to soothe this raging bird. Already his feet were starting to sizzle. - Miriel thrashed and tried to escape, blood lust was in her eyes. But her struggling slowly slowed as a white dragon entered into the picture. “Damion....” She still struggled, but she listened. Forgiveness had she really forgiven Jaedon? Her mind whirred for a moment before bringing up the memory of her and Jaedon, it was recent but Miriel had forgiven her. It was then that Miriel’s movements slowed and then stopped, exhausted from the emotions. Her eyes cleared and slowly her form went from a blazing inferno to a warm flame, then to her human form. She laid on the ground for a moment, recovering.
The world around her was familair again, it was a bright cheerful day and the faces about her, they were friends. Dear friends. “Damion....Neron....Ares...” Tears gathered in her eyes for a moment. “Jaedon.... I feel like it has been forever...I’m so glad to know you again. To really. know you. ” ----
Neron sighed, the experiment had worked. A good thing to. In his frail state right now...He wouldn’t have been able to hold on long, and even now his energy was drained mightily. Just shifting forms was hard. But he changed back to is human form, making sure his dark hair was covering his tired eyes. “Well Damion, you are the biggest chill pill I have ever met. ” He didn’t let his burned hands or his sore arm come to anyone’s attention. Putting his arm behind his back he gripped it tightly with his other arm, supporting the sore spot. Neron was surprised by the sudden change in Miriel’s temperament. Perhaps it was because Damion stepped it, or perhaps it was a memory. Who knows, but Neron was just glad to have her back once more.
----
Ares glared at Jaedon icily. “An Assassian eh?” He mumbled before shifting his gaze to the others. “You don’t deserve friends like them” Turning on his heel he stalked off. The whole conversation had just been loud enough for Jaedon to hear, no one else. Soon his figure had disappeared from view.

Damion took a deep breath as Miriel finally came back to her senses, and then let it out in a sigh. He knew that she was back to normal the second that she said their names. She had remembered. She was her old self again! His beloved Miriel remembered now. Damion shifted back into his skin, his little snow flurry returning, leaving little white flakes all over the ground when the process was complete. He walked over to Miriel and Neron, not skipping the fact that Neron had pulled his arm behind him. Miriel had hurt him, not to mention the fact that she had probably burned him. Damion didn’t know how resistant Neron’s scales were to flame, but he figured that it wasn’t strong enough to ward of the burning of Miriel’s flame. He would have to talk with Neron about it later. He would also have to thank Jaedon, that little imp. She was probably planning on doing it the whole time and just wanted to keep him waiting. Speaking of Jaedon, where was she? He turned to where she had last been and she was not there, he then looked for Ares, and he was walking away, already some distance off. Not far from where he had been standing was Jaedon, form bent, like a flower withering in the wind. She looked as though everything good had been taken from her. His concern for her soon called him to go to her. “Jaedon...” he muttered quietly, but audibly as he started to go towards her.
Ares gaze had done much more damage than he probably thought possible. Like the final blow to her heart, she just didn’t want to try anymore. Ares hated her and what hurt even worse was that he was exactly right. She didn’t deserve friends like them, she deserved nothing... She heard footsteps approaching her and decided this was her time to get away...right now. She was still far enough away to where if she left now, no one would follow. And so her form started to walk away and as it did, she shed her skin. Three legs was better than one she reasoned and so, she ran, she ran as fast as she could. She felt her left leg screaming in pain, but she ignored it, everything in her ignored the pain.
Damion just watched helplessly as Jaedon took off, only now realizing that she was slightly unsteady on her left side. “Why do I get the feeling she is fixing to do something that will break our hearts?”

Miriel started to stand up, her emotions felt like they had just been through a roller coaster. Holding her head with her hand she looked at the fading figure of Jaedon. Why had she reacted in such a way, why? Why had her mind refused to show what had truly happened until this point and caused more pain for all of them. Perhaps it would have been better if she had just stayed lost in her memory. But then her eyes drifted to Damion, he seemed too happy to have her back, to have her back not some stranger in her own body. No she wouldn’t let what had happened ruin her day. Her mind had returned and hopefully it was a start of things changing, hopefully for the better. But why did Jaedon’s receding figure cause doubt to fill her mind.
Walking over to Damion she continued looking at her friend. “I don’t know...but I feel it to. Why does she run? She always runs...especially when she’s hurt.” - Because of what Damion had said, Neron turned his dark figure to face Jaedon’s limping figure. “She’s running because she doesn’t know what else to do. She isn’t going to face the pain...but I fear that she will find soon enough that she can’t avoid it. What she will do in such a situation...” Neron’s eyes darkened and a shadow fell over his face. “Nice to have you back Miriel...” He didn’t face her, he was worried. “And Damion, try not to make her lose her memory again.” The last was said jokingly. Then Neron stood for a moment in silence, thinking where Jaedon would most likely go. Lifting his head up, he had the answer. Without saying goodbye he walked off with a fast paced stride. He had something to do.

“Yeah, she does. I think that sometimes her pride will be the death of her. I really don’t understand why she won’t let us help her, but then again, I have never been there, so I have no clue what it feels like.” He stared after Jaedon a moment longer and then went back to looking at Miriel. “So tell me, do you remember anything that happened in the past hour or so?” He had a quirky grin on his face, one that was joking, but serious at the same time. With that said he started to walk away towards the school, knowing that Miriel would probably follow, and even if she didn’t that was okay. For now, life was pretty good, and it was hopefully going to stay that way for a while.

Miriel laughed and then put on a thinking face;. “ hmmm well I’m not sure... You might have to remind me.” With a smile she caught up to him and slipping her hand in his walked in stride. “ Jaedon will be fine, I’m sure...Let’s not let us ruin our little time together. After all, now that I’m back your stuck with me.” She nudged him gently before continuing on with the journey back to the schools. It had been a busy day. THE END
