Strolling aimlessly around the campus for the past hour, Trinity decided to take a short refuge in this big metal dome that she considered a complete waste of money. What was so great about looking up at the sky for hours on end anyway? Couldn't any pea-for-brains manage to do that? Well, no one would listen to her anyway. To these people teenagers were all the same, only caring about themselves. That was true, to some extent, but there were exceptions to every rule. She just happened to be one of them.
Trinity despised stupid people, particularly those that were young and stupid. It gave her generation a bad rep. She wanted to believe that she was above all ignorance, but that in itself would be ignorant. There would always be things she wouldn't know; even Einstein didn't know anything. Seriously, did anybody ever teach him anything about hair maintenance?
Sighing out of boredom, she paced around the empty hunk of metal, glancing this way and that, trying to fake interest. She fiddled absentmindedly with the sleeves of her hoodie and hummed quietly to herself, a catchy but irritating theme song going around and around in her head.

Cassiel stood at the top of the observatory watching the wind move the clouds of the night sky, a small light illuminated from him as he stood. He held an object in is hands, it was an old book. He looked back down at the book and started to read again, just then he heard the soft thud of footsteps inside the observatory.
He sensed the life force of someone inside, they seemed bored and slightly aggitated about something. He silently moved along the top of the done, his wings moved noiselessly up and down as he floated to the opening for the telescope. He noticed the girl standing in the large room, pacing back and forth as if waiting for something. He slid the book into a small brown satchel he used to carry small items with him, slowly he dissapeared. He passed into the observatory floating by the girl without a sound, he moved to a seat across the room. He folded his wings and took a seat, he spoke then without taking his illusion from himself.
"It's rather late for students to be out and about." He paused then took off his illusion, his figure appeared instantly sitting in the seat. He spoke again, his features a stone of controlled emotions
"Are you waiting for something?" He looked out the opening of the observatory and stared at the sky, he couldnt help but wonder where he could go to talk to his creator. Cassiel kept his face stone as he watched, he felt alone even though there was someone in front of him. He didnt like the feeling at all but kept his thoughts to himself, he turned his head back to the girl. Her aura wasnt as strong as he first thought, she wasnt like most of the other students. He watched intently and waited for her reply, the gold rim in his eyes shone in the metal surrounding him. He noted the bright circles of gold on the metal and the black dot in the center, he wondered what he must look like.

Trinity stood directly in the middle of the observatory for a few seconds, craning her head upward where the sun hit her right in the face. Squinting against the bright light, she brought her hand up halfway just enough to block the view. A vibrating sensation tingled her sides, making her jump at the sudden feeling. She shoved her hand in her pocket, pulled out her ancient, obsolete sorry excuse for a cellphone and read the one-word text message from a friend of hers that lived back home. She had been trying to hold a conversation with her about how things were going, how different this school was, what her plans were for the future... And so far, the only responses she'd gotten were "k", "idk", and sometimes, when she was lucky, she got a "yeah" or "no". They had definitely grown apart since Trinity moved away from her hometown.
Grudgingly she shoved it back in her pocket and returned to the uneventful silence, too annoyed to reply to the unthoughtful message. She thought she heard something clambering around on the roof, but passed it off as a suicidal squirrel that didn't realize just how high up this place was. Anything up there would have a darn good chance of going kersplat if they fell off. Trinity nearly leaped out of her skin at a sudden voice behind her, making her spin around and clench a hand over her chest.
"Jeez, you nearly scared me to death!" she exclaimed in return. As her breathing evened out, she took in this newcomer, looking him over. He didn't look enough like an old fart to be one of the professors. Probably some new guy trying to play it tough. Rolling up her sleeves, she replied irritably without looking directly at him, "What are you, the curfew patrol?"
Something about him set her off. He seemed... weird. Different. It was like he was trying to hide something. It also wasn't too calming to be alone in a small area with some random stranger that was at least five years older than her. She looked back at him in surprise as he asked her if she was waiting for anything. Now that she thought about it, had she been? Why else would she have come here, of all places? There wasn't anything in particular that could come to mind, so she just shrugged. "I dunno. The dorms get boring after a while. Especially when your roommate is enough to make you shove your head through the wall. I just felt like taking a walk."
She looked directly at him, trying to make her gaze just as authoritative and stone-cold as his was. "Something wrong with that?"

Cassiel's eyes wandered away from the girl for a moment, she was just another human. He watched her take out her phone and shove it back into her pocket, he could tell she was the type of person to hold on to menial things. His eyes went back to hers when she asked if there was a problem, her own eyes tried to seem cold and emotionless. He stood then quickly, and moved to the edge of the observatory looking out the window. He spoke sternly
"I could care less where you go or what you do human." His eyes turned back to hers, his voice was cold and unforgiving. He stopped himself and turned away for a moment, he closed his eyes for a second then looked back and turned to her completely.
"I apologize, I have not been my normal self as of late." He walked forward stopping 3 feet away, he offered a small bow of his head keeping his eyes on hers. He spoke softly
"My name is Cassiel, I was on top of the observatory reading when I heard your footsteps and felt your aura." He paused and said
"Chimera Academy has hall monitors for finding students sneaking around." He offered something like a smile to her and added
"I'm here for different reasons." he turned then and moved back to the observatory opening and looked down onto the grounds. He asked with a soft voice
"Why does your room mate make you want to injure yourself?" his eyes stayed on the grounds, he folded his hands behind his back. Shifting slightly he made himself more comfortable standing there watching the on-goings outside.

Trinity took a half-step backward, taken aback by his sudden harsh retort. It was also a little disturbing to her that he referred to her specifically as "human." As if, you know, he wasn't. It took her a moment to register his halfhearted apology and stiff introduction as she looked at him with a combination of confusion and distrust. What was up with this guy? He seemed so detached, like he thought he was better than all of this. Well, then again, she felt that way sometimes too, but his stature went beyond arrogance. He had an unbreakable confidence beneath his eyes, one that didn't even waver as he attempted a friendly smile.
Trying to shake it off, she closed her eyes slightly longer than a standard blink and fumbled with her words for a moment before replying, "Um, yeah... I'm Trinity. And, uh, my aura?" she asked, chuckling out of disbelief, trying to make it sound much more absurd than it did when he said it. The last person she wanted to meet was some wannabe psychic-mentalist knowitall.
As he mentioned the hall monitors, she shrugged and smirked. "Oh, as if I don't know about that. But I wasn't sneaking. Anybody could've clearly saw me walking around if they really wanted to find me." She leaned back against a railing underneath the window, her eyes wandering around. "Different reasons, huh..."
It was a shock when his voice suddenly became so gentle. Was he trying to lure her in? Oh, would you stop assuming everyone's a serial rapist!? she scolded herself. She rolled her eyes at his last question and laughed out loud. "Oh, what DOESN'T she do..."
Holding out her hand, she went down the list, counting with her fingers. "She brings guys in at least every other night, always carries in her cigarette stench, leaves her 'intimate' items lying all over the floor..." She looked up at Cassiel. "Shall I go on?"

Kendryek walked up the small flight of stairs to the observatory. He'd never really been to the place so today he had decided to take a look around. The room was bound to be full of many different technologically advanced systems, many of which Kendryek probably wouldn't recognize as it had been about fifty years since he had taken astrology. It was a pity that he was so far behind in quite a few subjects. Some found more priority than others, of course, and astrology wasn't one he frequented. More so, he would do something very similar to what he was now: go to a lab and mess around with things until he figured most of it out.
Two voices stopped his thoughts and his feet. There were people here? His posture slumped. Oh great. That was the last thing he had wanted. Now he couldn’t mess with the equipment like he had wished. Wait a second… people meant talking, didn't it... Well, there was nothing to be done about it; one of them was Cassiel and more than likely Kendryek's presence was already known to him. It was annoying, of course, but it was reality.
He took a deep breath before opening the main door and walking inside. He didn’t even look at Cassiel and the girl as he walked over to one of the tables and set down his things. Then, walking over to a computer workspace he studied the equipment for a second before typing in a few things. With a slight groan the large telescope shifted positions. He smiled at the large object; that had worked quite well!
Looking over at the two in the room now, he smiled. “Greetings, once again, Cassiel,” he nodded to the angel. Then to the human girl he also nodded a greeting while offering his hand. “I don’t believe we have met. I am called Kendryek.” Although he assumed Cassiel wouldn’t have anything to say, the girl probably did. Girls typically did, and if she didn’t she would at least offer her name. Besides, it wasn’t as if Kendryek wanted to talk to them, so even if they said nothing it would be alright. For him at least…

Cassiel raised an eyebrow at Trinity after she had spoken her peace, he wasnt sure how to respond to her. He spoke quickly hoping she wouldnt continue
"No.. No thats quite alright Trinity, I believe I have aquired the picture as you might put it." he could feel the wave of emotions falling from the girl, she couldnt control them as well as others could. He felt overwhelmed for a moment before shoving them aside, she was quite different than other he had met. Maybe that meant something, maybe it didnt? He could tell she wasnt a creature of any type, she seemed to be an ordinary human which was odd by itself.
He turned his head then as he heard footsteps coming up the stairs, he sense Kendryak's aura immediatly. He watched as he walked in and set his things down offering him a nod and a greeting, he introduced himself to the girl after he had shifted the telescope right next to Cassiel. Cassiel watched as it shifted to a new location and pointed elsewhere, it seemed Kendryak had some other business to attend to. Cassiel offered him a small nod for a greeting saying nothing, the young mans aura seemed to shift and move almost as if controlled.
Cassiel turned then and moved to the small objects on a table, he moved to the other side of the room. His steps falling deftly as he moved, he could feel Kendryak's emotions as he had entered. He seemed indifferent in showing himself, Cassiel shrugged aside the young mans feelings without caring. He knew Kendryak wouldnt have shown himself if he didnt want to, he also was here for a different reason. He sent a message to Kendryak silently
'We have a few things to discuss Kendryak.' He turned and looked at the young man, the boy knew much about the happenings in the school and Cassiel needed answers. He added
'The girl is human, she is of no concern to either of us.' His eyes showed nothing as he spoke then as to not seem rude in front of Trinity
"Good evening Kendryak, always a pleasure." He turned back to the moon rocks on the table and studied them indifferently, he could sense both of their presences behind him. Their aura's stuck out from the dark like candles in a cave, he moved silently to the window and looked outside. He would get the answers he needed soon enough, he stayed at the window unmoving.

Trinity raised her eyebrows, thoroughly unimpressed, at the newcomer. What was it with these grown men just randomly stalking around campus? Didn't they have a bar to go to or something?
Eh, probably antisocial loners, the both of them.
She offered a half-hearted smile and replied, "Nope. 'Guess we haven't. I'm Trinity. It's uh... nice to meet you, I guess..." Courtesy wasn't her greatest virtue. She wasn't sure whether to bow, offer her hand, or just stand there and smile like a clueless idiot. Well, she might as well be true to herself. Looking between the two, it was like they had their own language or something, the way they were just staring each other down.
It was pretty obvious they knew each other. How was the question. Just as the thought crossed her mind, she realized where she was: standing around in a metal dome with two adult dudes that seemed to have some kind of mutual agreement going on between the both of them, while she stood there just mumbling cluelessly. Calling it awkward would be an understatement.
"Soo... Um... What brings you here.. Kendryak, is it?" Hopefully he wasn't as weird as his name.

Kendryek smiled to himself at what Cassiel said. It made him want to retort, “Everyone is of some concern,” but he knew what the angel meant: she didn’t pose a threat, which was all too obvious because she was definitely a human. No mythical would meet the both of them at once and not put up a guard, unless that mythical was quite dumb and even more clueless. But… that wasn’t very likely, so she was a human. One that was quite clueless herself, as it seemed. The situation was slightly awkward, yes, but she wasn’t knowledgeable of what they were. Which, he assumed, was a good thing because otherwise they’d have to speak elsewhere. This way Cassiel could ask what he wished and Kendryek could study the stars.
Ask away, my friend.
Now, it wasn’t really that they were friends, more that Cassiel was actually talking to him more than once. Many would meet him and then never speak with him again. Those that had held a conversation with him more than twice he would call ‘friend’ every now and again. In actuality, it had more to do with the era in which he was raised than anything. Back then, if someone wasn’t against you they could be called your friend. And so it was with Kendryek, though he sometimes called those against him ‘friend’ unconsciously out of wishful thinking. Namely, Le Cyll. But he was not the ‘problem’ at hand. This angel was, and something told him that he was about to do a lot of explaining.
“Same, Cassiel,” although it was a lie. Nothing that involved him having to explain gave a feeling of pleasure. Of course, Cassiel probably didn’t mean it either, not in a literal sense at the very least. The girl, other than paying too much attention to the niceties, stumbled through them carelessly. Unable to think of a proper response to her introduction, Kendryek simply smiled and nodded, toggling with the telescope’s angle once more, trying to place it exactly where it needed to be in order to see that.
“Hm?” he said without meaning to, turning his head towards the girl. She had pronounced his name wrong… oh well. It was of little consequence. “Oh, tonight there is a special anomaly that will accur in…” he looked at his watch before facing her again, his elbows propped up by the keyboard, “I’d say about five minutes. I wanted to see if I could catch it. I believe I’ve seen it once before, but I wanted to catch it this time to make sure it is the same thing.” Not to mention that last time I saw it was a few hundred years ago with the naked eye. I want to see it close up this time. he continued, speaking only to Cassiel. It wouldn’t do to say strange things like that to a young girl who’s horizons didn’t pass what she could see.
”If you’d like, you can have a look once I’m done finding it.” The offer was more towards Trinity, but Cassiel was welcome to look if he also wished. Now, to find that star alignment…

Cassiel stood silent as he watched Kendryek explain is doings to both him and the girl, his own silent apprehension to Kendryeks need to see the anomaly. Cassiel walked to the side of the telescope not to far from the keyboard Kendryek was siting at adjusting the telescope. His head turned as he noted the girls almost innocent demeanor, she didn't seem to know anything about the school or what was in the world around her. He turned stiffly facing the girl and spoke evenly
"No thank you Kendryek, I am sure that you will find much more joy in studying the happenings in the galaxy than I should.." His eyes went to Trinity then back to the sky outside, he hooked his hands behind his back locking them firmly. He couldn't help but notice Kendryeks own apprehension to himself, the words came out almost bluntly as he spoke not looking at either of them.
"What do you know about this school?" His head twisted and looked at Kendryek, he found no need to hide his questions from the human girl behind him. It wasn't his concern to stop her from seeing the truth in the world around her, he spoke flatly once more
"Who is stopping my connection to Him, and why does it feel as if evil is draping its dark cloak around this school? Who is Crane?" His eyes turned hard, he needed the answers, he couldn't stay in the dark any longer and something told him Kendryek had a lot of the answers he needed. He knew the young man wouldn't childishly play games with the information he knew, Cassiel knew that if he asked him strait forward he would receive his answers. He added onto his questions with a simple statement
"Continue with your star gazing, I will wait until you are finished." He didn't want to seem rude in interrupting Kendreyeks own hobbies and interests, his eyes went back to the sky and staring out the window. He wondered what the girl was thinking after he had asked his first questions, he couldn't help but feel sorry for her own blissful ignorance to the things around her.
He would watch the girl, something about her was off in this place he couldn't quite tell but she was much to normal to be in a school full of monsters and creatures. Trinity seemed almost saintly in her aura compared to most of the others he had seen, he wondered why she was here.

Trinity pursed her lips, staring between the two grown men as they seemed to have an inside conversation underneath their casual chatter. It really p***ed her off. Acting like she wasn't there, just going about their own little heated discussion. That Cassiel... It was like he looked down on her. Like he thought he knew so much more than her. And maybe he did, but that didn't mean she was completely without knowledge.
"Uh.. Excuse me," she interrupted, waving her hand back and forth. "If you intend your conversations to be private, I would suggest waiting till I actually leave."
She shrugged in mild disinterest at Kendryak's offer, not much for astronomy. "...I'll pass. What's got you so interested in it, anyway?" she added, trying to force herself back into the conversation. She was not about to be dismissed so abruptly.
The way they were staring each other down.. It made her shiver. The air between the two was so frosty. And the intensity of their stares nearly made her want to spin on her heels and run for her life.
What is with these guys..?

Kendryek sighed and pushed back on the computer desk, the stool he was on now balancing on two legs. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before letting the stool clang back to standing on all four pegs. He himself stood and smiled gently at Trinity. ”Cassiel and I were simply allowing formalities. It was more of a mutual understanding than anything. Though, I must say, if you don’t want to hear some strange things, you may want to leave. Otherwise, feel free to listen.” Of course it was against school rules to purposefully tell a human of their existence, but if she were asking there was nothing to be done. She would find out about it soon anyway with all the crazies in this place.
The angel spoke up, asking questions Kendryek would have liked to not have to answer. It was inevitable that he would have been asked these questions sooner or later, and he had definitely hoped for the later. Seeing as it was also common sense that Cassiel would wonder about the school and ask such things, it wasn’t too surprising that he was the first to question the dragon concerning the matter. According to Kendryek, the only pity in this situation was the amount of talking he’d be required to do.
The angel said to go ahead and continue with the stargazing, and then Trinity asked what the stars meant to him. Looking up at the sky, he smiled fondly, ignoring Cassiel for a moment. “The stars are one of my only constant companions. Some come and others go, but they are always there. The same comets always return, the same movements always occur. The paths of the stars never waver and every major constellation has been my friend. Tonight there should be a comet, largest one ever recorded. I’ve never seen it up close, so I’m hoping to be able to find it.”
Looking back at her he smiled and shrugged. “Other than that, I don’t really have any particular interest in star-gazing.”
Taking a water bottle out of his bag he took a sip before setting it on the counter. “To answer your questions, Cassiel, I know quite a bit of the school. I am not in Daniel’s confidence but I am not blind to all that is done here. Of course, I don’t keep up with everything. I’m sure Daniel is the only one here truly capable of that. About the encroaching evil,” he chuckled and sighed. “It is not just a feeling of being surrounded by evil. This school is becoming more shrouded, even as we speak. Many, many of the people here have ill intentions. I can tell you one thing, though: Professor Crane isn’t one of them.” He took another sip and chose his words quite carefully as he answered the last question in need of being addressed. “As for you not being able to speak with Him, Daniel has many…” he glanced at Trinity before deciding to say what he was going to anyway. “Many spells. While they cannot restrict His power, they can affect yours. Spells of ancient times were created to restrain the most powerful of us, even your kind.”

Cassiel stood silent as Kendreyak conversed with the girl then spoke to him, he listened taking note of his knowledge and information. He didnt respond immediately as he finished his sentence, he didnt really need to he had gained the answers nessesary to know why he was cut off from Him. His head turned with his body as he looked at Kendryak, he spoke flatly leaving no feelings to be told
"Then I will have to deal with being cut off until I talk to Crane, I dont think he will lift his spell anytime soon but its odd that he would know of spells capable of that much power. He must be quite old." He left his sentence there not wanting to say more, Kendreyak didnt seem like much of a talker but for him he seemed to deem it nessesary to explain much of what he knew. His eyes turned to Kendryak as he spoke one more
"Thank you for the information Kendryak, you've been quite helpful." He stopped offering nothing more than that compliment, dragons were wise in their years and had a knack for knowing things that others didnt. He knew this from watching them gather knowledge from all parts of the world, he couldnt help but wonder why type of connection Kendryak had with Crane and the happenings in the school. He could tell he wasnt anywhere near evil or one to cause havoc among the schools students and he appreciated that in the student.
He turned back and continued looking out the window no longer speaking but trying to peice the schools shrouded halls and events together. Something told him he was going to be tied to this school without really wanting to be, something also told him that he would be seeing more of Kendryak in the future. He couldnt quite put his finger on it as he thought about it, his head turned as he looked at the two standing by the telescrope from the corner of his eye. He felt something like attatchment to the students in the school, even the ones that were not here for any reason other than to cause mischief. He knew he could not technically harm them without good reason but he had a good idea of what he was to do now, he turned back and continued to stare out into the night.
