He was fidgeting now and looking up at the door. So close. He had been so damn close! It had all been so perfect. It started perfectly, continued perfectly, and it almost ended perfectly. Almost! Damn it, if only he'd been more forceful with her instead of toying with her for awhile. They had always steered him in the right direction; he needed to stop being so ****ing rebellious and just listen.
Speaking of which, as he listened to Zi's "heartfelt" words, he dropped his arms to his sides again. He merely stared at her, eyes wide, a look of horror on his face.
Of all the times to not blindly follow and obey him! And she believed that monster instead of him on this subject? Of all things?! Did she know who he was at all? Maybe she wasn't the brightest girl out there, but didn't she at least have common sense? Clearly not, or else she wouldn't have chosen to believe such a ridiculous claim.
No way in hell he was- How could anyone even think..?
The thought alone set his blood boiling. He grabbed her arm, holding her in place as he was overcome with the desire to cause harm to someone.
"No, dammit! I'm being ****ing serious! You believe him instead?! What the **** is wrong with you?!"
Kill her!
Hurt her.
Rip her apart!
Run!
Abruptly, he let go of her, turning to look around the room suspiciously. His eyes soon fell upon the bastard still slumped over the bar. He glanced back and forth between him and Zi a few times, still unreasonably angry at them both, but for different reasons. Finally, he turned toward Coyle, apparently having forgotten that he should still be terrified of him.
"You know what? **** you!" He spat, turning and walking out the door without another glance at either of them.
He hadn't been so humiliated in years. The last person who thought to question him was quickly disposed of. The only reason this bastard was still alive was because... Well, he probably wouldn't be able to kill him and he wasn't stupid enough to try.
Stepping out into the cold, night air, it suddenly occurred to him that he had no idea where he was going.
Picking a direction at random, he decided to just go for it. In the end it shouldn't really matter where he was going anyway. There were all sorts of people out at this hour in the town. Yeah, a few hours of fun should make him feel better about this night.
