Exams are coming. That's why Mizore is becoming less and less friendly. She went to the library and chose some books. Mathematics, science, geography, history. All of them are...a pain in the butt. Even so, she can't argue with the inevitable. She'll have to face it.
"This. Is. So. Annoying." She said softly to herself. She took a deep breath and finally decide what to study for today. History. After all, she's weak in it. She felt someone coming, but thought it's a human student. So she let it be and study on her own.

Le Cyll looked over the rows and rows of books, marveling to himself just how many there were. He loved books. Books were only written if the writer needed to express something, and only published if that expression was viewed as interesting. The expression, in most cases, was a story - some tale of a hero versus a villain, with plot twists and magic and adventure galore. It was like a portal into another realm - a realm created only by the writer of the book, and only because the writer loved their creation, and wished it to be shared with others in the form of words.
Le Cyll enjoyed visiting these many, many realms. He could spend hours, days even looking through them, drinking up every last part of the new, fresh world, and eventually mull over it - see if he could tamper with things inside this little world. He liked ot make the characters do things. It was interesting to see them run around at his will, like he was their god and they obeyed only his will.
It was good, clean fun to the highest degree, and Le Cyll loved every minute of it.
He slid a book from one of the shelves, and flipped through it. A romance novel? Well, he did like to watch the characters trip over themselves falling after this elusive love concept. Most of them managed to net true love in the end, and lived happily until the sequel came out, but few precious stories ended as he always thought a chase for something so flighty as love should end - in chaos.
He wondered what kind of romance novel this one was, and sat down at a nearby table to find out.

She copied some long and short notes on her notebook. She got absorbed in it. Ones she studies, she can concentrate really well. But only if she wants to. If the subjects are boring, then, well, sorry? Within a few minutes, you can see her sleeping soundly on the table. Maybe the chapter she is studying is a nice one? She copied and copied. She hoped no one interrupts her. Because ones she have been interrupted, she will lose focus, and it will be hard to get as devoted as she is like now. It happened to her before. She almost use her powers on the kids.
Her pen moved really fast yet at the same time, she understood all the sentence she copied. Trying to memorize all of it, her mind burnt out and she gave up. She lied on her chair for a quick rest. And before she knew it, there's already a guy sitting near her. How odd. She didn't hear any sounds from him. Maybe she's focused too much. She wondered, is it a good thing, or a bad thing?

Le Cyll noticed for the first time the sound of a scratching pen. Curiously, he looked up to see a young girl scribbling away at her papers. Obviously studying. He did not want to disturb her. He was too engrossed in his book. But, just as he'd made that decision, she seemed to give up on her studying and lean on her chair, making eye contact with him.
Le Cyll debated what he should do, and eventually decided to give a warm little smile of greeting to the girl. She looked like she did not enjoy her work. He couldn't blame her. Studying was boring and useless. He memorized his lessons instead of learning them. Something about photographic memory. He'd remembered the specifics of it a while back, but no more. It had been too long ago. All he knew was just by looking at something, he would always be able to remember it again. He looked at this girl's face, and the image was seared into his mind for later use. Now, all he needed was a name for that face, and he'd know her.
"It's tough to study so hard. Exams? I thought so. My name is Le Cyll, and I'm new here. You are?"
He held his warm greeting smile, setting the book down and marking it before it shut. He found it helpful to give his full attention to people when speaking to them. It made them think he was interested in what they had to say.

Well, enough of resting. She rested enough. Studying doesn't require any strength, but it reduce her energy! Everytime she studied, she would sank on her bed and sleep. That's what she'll do now if she's in her room. That's the reason why she came here. To prevent that from happening. If it happened, she will lose a lot of time the teacher gave them to study. She will be sad out of her mind and bury herself to bed. And then lose even more time. Exams are invented to kill her. She wondered, who created exams? She will kill the person even though the person is already dead. Well, that's just what she'll do in her dream world.
She continued studying and suddenly felt someone looking at her. She turned to that direction with a curious face and found out it was the same guy earlier. Did he found out she was looking at him earlier? No, right? Whatever the case, she didn't know what to do. Smile? She didn't even know him? W-What if he's a pervert or a playboy or something? Not possible, right? After all, she could report it to the teacher or protect herself using her powers.
The guy then said something about exams and introduced himself. She's really cornered now. What should she do? Well, in order to get away fast, she answered, "Uh, Shirayuki Mizore," She answered with a nervous tone. It's a shock that a guy would just bluntly introduce himself.

Le Cyll put that next to the picture of the girl's face. There, Shirayuki Mizore. Sounded Eastern, most likely Japanese. She was not a human, he could tell by the way she looked. She was too interesting to be anything other than a "mythical" beast. He then noticed the nervousness with which she gave her name, and scolded himself silently.
That's right. He was overly direct. He forgot that could startle people if they were quiet types. She must be one of those, he reasoned. A quiet girl, shy and secluded. She did not like other people, mostly because she did not trust them, right?
Yes, he thought as much. He could read people relatively well, and he thought he had gotten to know Shirayuki nicely, just by hearing her speak her name. He added that to the face and name, and now he had something to go with.
"I'm sorry, am I being to blunt?" He opened up his book, taking the bookmark out and replacing it with his thumb instead. "You look like you're busy right now, and I guess I shouldn't have interrupted you. It's just, I like to get to know the people at my new schools, and, well, you're the first person I've talked to. Again, terribly sorry. I shouldn't have bothered you."
He shrugged, smiling. He did hate the shy ones... So hard to talk to.

She read a little while waiting for his answer. History is boring, but as long it is a story-ish then it is better than those that are not. She heard the guy apologizing that he was being blunt. Sort of. But she thinks its not completely his fault. She have faults, too.
"...I'm just shocked." She answered. Getting back to her old cold self. The guy then gave her a long apologize, stating that he wants to get to know people at his school. She's the first he talked, too? She guessed he's a new student.
She shook her head. "...It's fine." She said, stating that he isn't bothering her. She's resting anyways. And beside, she doesn't like to study. So whatever reasons that kept her out of studying is an okie dokie.

Le Cyll nodded at this. A little to thick with the apology. He'd make a note of that. But... better them to think he was an overly polite klutz than know how he really was.
That kind of attitude got him thrown out of his own tribe, and now here he was, festering away in a pool of his own rage, in this rat hole of a school....
He smiled again, and managed a worried look for Shirayuki's benefit.
"You don't look too happy with that studying. Is it really that hard? I don't want to fail my first exam here."
He scratched his head, nervously, to show that he was worried about his grades.
Grades... He was a genius. He didn't need to ace any tests to tell him how intelligent he was...

She hated exams badly. It forced her to study. She hated it so ever badly. "I hate exams." She answered him with a pretty much dull voice, reading the text. If this is not the library, she could have thrown the books to the wall. It is already 3.45P.M. Time do fly when she is studying. She then looked outside the window. It looked like it is going to rain. She felt happy. Studying while it is raining is a sort of a boost for her. If its hot, she'll quit studying, and then sleep.
She faced the guy again. She wanted to ask him something. He don't look human. She then spoke to him. "Do you like history?" She asked a stupid question. Of course, anyone would hate history. But well, some do not. What's so interesting about History? The moment she thought of that, the thunder stroked down. Thankfully, she saw the lights and closed her ears, knowing it will be a loud one as if it is stroked nearby the library.

Le Cyll only smiled slightly at that.
"Oh, I love it."
History was the accumulated lessons of the past - one giant book to read for him. There were plots, there were heroes, and there were villains. All struggling toward the end, and all leading up to this very moment. And on. History was the story that never ended. Le Cyll hated book endings. It was sad to see the characters go. He wanted to watch them a little more.
No book had been long enough for him, but that was not so with History. It was still going, and it still had mysteries to unravel. He'd like to see History play out for as long as possible.
Thunder crashed, and Le Cyll flinched. Not because he feared the lighting. He simply was not prepared for it. He hadn't known it was coming, so it had caught him off guard.
Very few things caught him off guard. Thunder was one of them.
"Oh, it's a little stormy out there." He said. "I hope the lights don't go out."
He wouldn't mind much if the lights were out. He could see in the dark.

Shocking that the student liked History. It's so boring... She couldn't stand a chance getting an A unless someone blackmail her. Like, buying her another PSP if she get an A for that only subject -- History. Though, she doubt she wouldn't get an A even if she wanted a PSP that bad.
"History are... boring. They said forget the past, focus on the future, right? How ironic." She complained softly. She's in the library after all. The student then said something about hoping the lights won't go out. That loud of lightning, the lights are sure to go out. Is he afraid of dark? She then try telling him it will, reading the boring book.
"Actually, I think it will."

Le Cyll looked up at the lights, watching them dim with each roll of thunder. His eyes responded accordingly, adjusting perfectly to the dimness as it came.
"So it will" He commented, and right after he'd said it, the lights flickered out for a few seconds, then returned.
"It sounds bad out there" He sighed, picking up his book and flipping through the pages, picking up where he left off. Even if they did go out, he could still read. Light was a luxury, not a necessity. He would have no qualms about them going off.
Though, he wondered if the girl was afraid of the dark?

Odd, because the rain is making her sleepy. She slept early last night, right? Well, maybe she should study something interesting. She found there is a story-ish history and decided to study on that. The teacher haven't reached the topic yet, but it's good to be prepared, right? She knew she won't get anymore from that current topic. For her, story-ish history are much easier to absorb. It's like those fairytales.
"Ah. It actually did..." She said when the lights went all out when a lightning stroke twice near the library. Good Gracious, she was planning to read it and finally, it went away, the lights. She closed her book, resting on her palm while the arm supporting her head. So, tired.

Le Cyll did not stop reading, even after the lights went out. He didn't even blink to refocus his eyes to the darkness. They adjusted themselves, and he went on reading, almost oblivious to the lack of lighting.
He doubted she could read in the dark though.
"Oh look at that. Such a shame."
He let a little sarcasm seep into his voice. Taking a finger and flipping to the next page, he continued to read. What would she do now, he wondered? Would she leave? She did not seem like she wanted to be here, and she looked more than a little tired.
Le Cyll did not sleep. He was insomniatic, if you wanted to go so far as to give it a name. He'd be up all night bored and restless if he didn't do something.
So he read. He always read.

Mizore could hear the books flipping even though it's pitch dark. Does this guy know eyes are important? Reading books but you must wear spectacles are lame. Very troublesome. She is still closing her eyes. Resting them for a meantime, waiting the electric to get back.
"You're damaging your eyes." She said, stilling closing hers. Man, she's tired. She's beat. She thought raining would be a good thing if she is studying but guess it bought the reverse effect.
