Moss closed his eyes and heard that one phrase over and over, and he was sure that it would always repeat itself in his head. Why did it stick to stubbornly to the walls of his mind? Because it was true. Therir loniless all sounded the same, it made that same, depressing note all the time, whenever the noise made way to quiet, and when we would fill silence, already filled with nothing but truths, with the lies we wanted to be true. Moss's head felt full, but yet completely empty. it was an odd, numbing feeling.
"Yes. Silence has it's own noise, a noise louder than every other one in existance. The undertone to all other noises. And for some reason, even in a loud, noise filled room, all one can hear is silence. And that lonliness that won't leave them alone."
He closed his eyes, even as his voice echoed around the room, he could find no true form to the words he spoke, for he could never remember thinking of them before, but thought of them as the words he thought bout as he defined his walk through the emptiness.
"We wrap ourselves in our addictions to hide from the noise, but it doesn't work... it just keeps nagging at us until it strips of our sanity. Driven insane by that lonliness we all want to escape."
Moss blinked slowly, trying to make sense of what he had just said. He felt as though he had just spoken a strange and forbidden truth.

"Hehehehe... How true." Coyle shrugged, helplessly. What the hell was he supposed to do about it? The truth was depressing, he knew that. What sucks was actually having to tell the truth every once in a while. Lies were sweet and easy, and why shouldn't they be? If they sounded nice, they gave false happiness, and if they sounded vicious, then they still made whoever was telling the lie happy, didn't they? Lies were nice. It was the truth that ended up killing you.
"That's why it's better if you lie." Coyle said, pleasantly. "Better to hold on to sanity now and gain a few more years than give in and go bonkers."
He snickered, swinging his legs up and using them as momentum to stand. He then swaggered over to the railing, staring down at the ground.
"On the other hand, it kind of makes you want to go crazy right now. Then, at least, you don't have to worry about bleak reality. That's always a buzz kill."

Moss sighed and looked ahead to the stage. The truth was depressing, that much was true. He glanced at Coyle, now wondering what grade this guy was in, but he quickly decided that it didn't matter, not in the least. How long had they sat and stood and sat even more, merely talking, beating around the bush and accomplishing what seemed to absolutely nothing at all.
At the same time he could say that he had learned quite a few things, quite a few interesting things, and he would indeed be thinking about them, and thinking about them deeply. He rarely used his intellect like this, to think and understand and know. He used it to plan how he would have one girl or another, thinking was unimportant, especially when what one thought didn't matter sometimes.
But at this moment he thought it did matter. It mattered a lot, it truly did, because even if he spoke nothing with his mouth, his thoughts were an open book to him. He had yet to see a human that could seriously sit there and think absolutely nothing. The greatest human aspect was supposed to be their superior intellect. To this creature, it was merely another weakness, wasn't it.
There was no where to hid once ones mind became as open as a book, and secrets were no longer secrets but just knowledge.

By this time, Coyle was already bored again. Happy, but bored. Well, maybe not happy, but it looked that way, and it felt that way. Hell, he showed all signs of being happy except being able to admit it to himself. Still, he wasn't happy. He hadn't been happy in a long time.
Three hours was a long time.
"Ah don't worry yourself over it." He laughed. "The best part about thinking clearly is it always wears off, and even if it doesn't, it's not like you can fix anything if you do think clearly. You just get all 'aware' and scare yourself half to death."
He gripped the railing more firmly, with a little push jumping up on top of it. Sure, it was high, but it wasn't like he would fall or anything. He had never fallen before, so why start now?
Strolling down the rail like a tightrope walker, he stepped over Moss and continued on. Boring. He needed something fun to happen. Something big and fun and exciting.
"Oh, wanna see something cool?"
He strode all the way over to where a mini microphone was hanging from the ceiling, and touching the very end of it with his index finger, he made all the lights in the room flicker and get blindingly bright. He pulled his hand away, and the light trick stopped.
"Hehehe. That was funny."
He poked the microphone repeatedly, the lights flickering on and off and on and off.
"I could be a techy for one of the plays here. Or, I could just blind everyone. That last one sounds more fun."

Moss watched the boy intently as he walked with extreme balance and grace on the railing. Wow, he could never dream of doing something like that; he'd fall and probably crack open his skull. Bears were not known for their majestic natures, they were known as hulking masses of fur and flesh. He wondered what he was going to do, as he walked close to one of the hanging microphone
Coyle tapped it with his finger, and yelped and was suddenly blinded. Damn, that was TOO bright. He rubbed his eyes, all he could see was black dots all around his vision. Cool trick yes, but exactly worth what was left of his eyesight in this pathetic human body, which left much to be desired in the field of vision.
When he could see, even though everything still looked way, way dark, he chuckled in good nature and grinned. "That would be awesome to see! You know... as long as I'm not one of people who get blinded." Moss chuckled again stood straight up.
He wondered if it was time to get back to class. He was too new here to try the patience of the teachers, hall monitors or students.

Coyle flicked the microphone, and it swung lazily on its cord.
"Sensitive eyes? No, I doubt that'd be fun to get blinded."
The microphone swung towards his head, but he avoided it, jumping off the railing as deftly as he'd hopped up. Damn, it was getting late in the day. He had to go find that Elle girl before she gave his anchor to commando man. That wouldn't be good. Coyle shuddered at the very thought of it.
"Time's a-wasting." He whistled, looking down at the stage. "And as fun as it is to make friendly with people, we all have things to do."
Damn. Damn, damn, damn. He hated it when his anchor was stolen. What the hell, you know? Here he was, minding his own business, when someone picked up the shiny little thing and he had to do whatever they said. Damn.
Well, he may have to abstain from having some fun with one person, but the rest of them were fair game. He still had a school of people to meet and greet and possibly eat.
"Schoolwork? I don't do school. Too boring. I do attend classes every once in a while. I'm sure we'll meet up again."
No, he wasn't sure, he knew. He liked to know all the little people that frequented this school, and he only didn't know the newbies. They would soon all learn about the deity that stalked Chimera Academy though. They all figured it out sooner or later.

Moss looked up and suddenly became aware of something. He searched around for a clock, and once he found one, he stared at it for a couple minutes. They had been loitering around here for a while, he realized. Was his break almost over? He thought so, so he should probably get going. He collected his stuff as though to leave, but he didn't move from where he was. Not yet. Not just yet.
"Lucky. Give me a couple months. I'll probably stop showing up to most of my classes." He said with a smile. It seemed to be time well spent in his opinion, and therefore, he was looking forward to seeing Coyle again. However, he couldn't shake the oddest feeling that he had just done something that he would regret later
He shrugged and walked back down the steps to the ground and looked around for the door.
