Zeus
this is great Zeus thought to him self.
i cant remeber the last time i was happy.
its always been about hunting and fighting to get through the next day.
i get to just have fun for once.
and i made a new friend.

now the chill of the evening is setting in and the sun is slowly turning many shades of red and oranges.
its time to leave for home but were would this young fox go?
with a nod of the head that seamed to say you can come if you want.
he started for his den

[Anzeh]

The wind carressed her moonlight fur, and she looked up to see that the sun was setting behind the horizon. She didn't intend to go back to the school. Whenever she was in control she usually found an abandoned nest to sleep in. She looked around, knowing that she would have to start looking now before she would find one suitable to sleep in, so she turned to Zeus and prepared to say good bye. But his nod gave Draner a feeling. A feeling that said that if she followed him then she would have a suitable place to spend the night without having to constantly be on guard in case something tried to attack her. So she nodded back and followed him to his den.

When they got there, she recognized it. Many times she had walked past this place, and wanted to sleep here but because of the freshness of his smell every time, she knew it was still in use and it would be dangerous for her to stop and sleep in someone elses den.

But now she was here as a guest and therefore had nothing to fear. She stretched out and curled up in a corner away from the entrance.

Seeing this is going to be a cold night Zeus curled up next to draner.
not so close as to inply anything but close unuf for each other to share the warmth.
and was quickly fell asleep.

dream

tossing and turning in his sleep Zeus had the same dream he aways does.
its one of pain suffering and missery one that hurts all the way to the heart.

in this dream
Zeus find himself a young child
and two older people that look similar to him.
the woods seam darker than normal.
not like a night time darker but like a evil darker.
there floating in front of them is a cloaked black figure.
he stretched out his had and darkness flowed from his hand and engulfed the the to older fox like creatures. they screamed in pain trying to flee from the pain
then floated towards Zeus he tried to do the same but for some reason it had a different effect. insted of it killing him it swallowed his arm and Zeus felt power surging to himself.
after this was over the darkness left his arm and left a black scar.
but then th dark figurer was gone

Zeus wakes up
when he awaks he begans to weep for he knew who those to figures were
and now they were no more

[Anzeh]

Draner fell asleep and dreamed of blissful nothingness. She had fallen asleep before the other curled up near her. Even if she had still been awake, chances are she wouldn't have done anything. After all, he was warm and she doubted that he had anything like that on his mind already. Something began to happen. It was an awkward power that only Draner possessed. Being so near to the Chimera, she Absorbed his dream, that is to say she observed it from a place that he would not see her. She saw the young Zeus and the to that seemed to be his mother and father get devoured by what appeared to be a shadow. When Zeus awoke the dream popped and jolted her awake. Looking over to her friend, she saw him cry.

The kitsune made a little whine-like noise and nudged him gently and did something very human. She reached out towards him and ran the back of her paw against his wet and tear-stained fur. Concern was on her face.

Zeus manged to put on a weak smile even though the pain reached
down to his very core.
with some trouble he manged to say.
thank you.

He tried to fight the pain he felt but it was a battle he woulnd win.
no matter how hard he tried.
but he didnt want to look weak in front of this girl.
what girl would ever want to be with a weak male.
but how could he be strong when his only family was dead.
and he wields the power that killed them.
he lived in a world were no one was left to care for him.
he was all alone.
yet here sat his new friend with a face that seamed to say im sorry.

[Anzeh]

She nodded lightly to his thanks and continued to watch him with concern. Draner nudged against him as lightly as she could manage while still making her presence known. Once against him she nuzzled against his dark fur, at contrasts with her own coat of distilled silver. Draner uncurled carefully and stretched out, shaking her short but well-kept fur.

Maybe she wasn't the best to try and comfort someone, especially when she couldn't sympathise with his problem. Both her parents were still alive. At least, to the best of her knowledge they were. Unless they had died some time while she was gone, they should both be alive and kicking. If she was lucky. If not then they had dropped dead of their own accord. If that's indeed what happened then she wouldn't mind living here with her new friend. At least here she didn't have to worry about food.

Draner didn't think that he was weak because he was mourning his lost parents. If she'd lost her parents then she would probably be in a similar state. He lost them when he was small. That wasn't fair. And whatever had taken his parent tried to take him, but instead gave him some sort of... scar. Like Harry Potter.

Feeling better Zeus uncurls and does a big stretch.
then wipes the few reaming tears.
Zeus
thank you very much.
were do you live?
Zeus asked curiously
after a big yawn he walks out to greet the morning sun.
what an amazing morning birds chirping due on the leafs.
wind softly blowing against his fur.
this is what makes the wood so amazing.
although the dark nights are sinister the mornings are to die for.
what a sight a person could just sit here and think.
ah to ponder the world greatest questions one of Zeus's favorite past time.
to unravel the world and see all sides of the story's.

[Anzeh]

"I attend the school. My brother has a dorm there, butI prefer the woods." Draner answered, watching the other as he left the security of the den. It was a warm Saturday morning, and even though she remained inside the cozy den, she could hear the birds chirping right outside the opening. After some time, allowing him to be with himself, she got up and walked out of the den and curled up again on a sunny patch of leaves. It was springtime. Draner loved the spring. In fact, as a rabbit came out, It saw her and she made no move to trap it. It's nose twitched and it bounced along on its merry way, followed by about five little rabbit babies. She didn't feel right depraving the little one's of their mother. That had been something she was against. If she did accidentally kill a mother of tiny rabbits, she made sure to nurture the babies. It was a personal code of her own creation.

Watching Draner come from the den Zeus saw how her fur shined in the sun.
she truly was a nice looking fox. but she also was very nice to him.
she helped Zeus when he was in pain.
and was there to enjoy the happy times.
although he has only new draner for two days he hoped she would never leave.
also seeing the rabbits he smiled at spring and the wonders it brings.
walking toward draner Zeus had a new feel about him. a sense of happiness.
the world seamed to change to a happy place.
he sat next to draner with a nudge and a smile.
then he sat and watched life blossom and flourish.

[Anzeh]

When Zeus came over to her and nudged, Draner acknowledged him with a nod and scooted over a little so he could have some sunlight too. Once she had settled back into stillness, little things like mice and shrews and tiny birds, things that the Kitsune would trap and devour, came out and bounced about as though they weren't even there. Why should she hunt them now? The day had just begun and she was still full from yesterday's plentiful hunt. A question burned inside her, but she knew it was too early to ask something like that. So she merely lay there enjoying the sunlight, turning over to warm her stomach as well and stare at the clouds.
