So right.... a fight. That's what he wanted! Just to see what this guy was made of! What kind of glue held him together? And was there a solvent to unglue him? That'd be nice, but most of the time, mortals were not made of something so easily unstuck. They were very sticky, and it took a lot of effort to pull them apart.
Oh well. He'd deal with it. He'd take a closer look at this little conundrum and see if he couldn't crack the code.
Besides, he was resistant to magic. How bad could it be? The guy was strong, but he wasn't that strong.
Coyle lounged on one of the old sofas, torn to pieces by rats long ago.
Sparky would be here. He knew he'd show up. He called him, so he'd better...

After receiving the message that Coyle wanted his fight Zeus started his way towards the haunted building. Zeus how would this fight turn out? i barley made it through the last one and this guy probably has more than what he was showing. but maybe he stood a chance with his new found powers. but there was a change that took place after the last fight. instead of a pink scar it turned completely black. not like a night time sky black but an evil black. a black that would swallow you whole and leave no hope left. but yet it gave Zeus power. power that had come from no were.
now arriving at the manor Zeus thought it better than to use the front door knowing that if it were a trap that would be the most expected so he tried a hole in the roof. as he jumped through he landed on all four limbs and there was Coyle with an i was expecting you look

Coyle noticed the way Zeus used to get in, and promptly read his mind on the matter. The answer he found turned out... pretty funny.
"Hehehe... You think I'd use a trap to fight you? We made a deal, Sparky. I honor my deals. We have a clean fight. Nothing nonsensical. I just want to see how well you tick, is all."
The thought of it was... very funny. Coyle, of all the terrible, rotten things he did, would never do something that went back on a deal. Pinky promise. He was good for it. He was a respectable beast, after all. He wasn't dirty.
Well... He wasn't a liar.
Well... He kept his word.
There. Found something accurate.
Coyle slid off the rotted old couch, getting his tentacles ready by releasing them from his skin. He didn't need his whole real body for this - just the good parts. His tentacles were the best parts there were. All his power focused and circulated around them. Sure, there were other points of power like speed, maneuverability, and his charming wit, but the real deal was in the temporal claws. They were where all the fun originated from.
Coyle's tentacles snaked about, like eels out of water.
"Oookayyyy. Let's see what you've got." He smiled. He'd take this time seriously. No joking around.
Well.... Hehehe. What was life without a few jokes?
"Gimme your best shot, Sparky." Coyle smiled. "Let's see how magical you can get."

Coyles teasing went straight to Zeus's core. it mad him so mad but thank god he had very good control of his temper. now digging back into the deep pool of power he had with in himself. he drew his sword the purple flame re-lit and grew even bigger than the last time. feeling all power move through his veins. more ready than ever he strikes with all his power and might. but on inpact an explosion happen that sent both Coyle and zeus flying. Zeus landed on the floor and quickly recovered but Coyle flew through many walls.

Coyle was sent sprawling back by the huge explosion of power, however, he did his best not to hit anything...
Shifting up a plane or two, Coyle sailed through about a dozen of the rickety old mansion walls like a ghost through a haunted house. The only problem with that was he kinda flew a bit too far... He reached the other end of the house, flying through the last available wall, then started zipping through bushes and trees.
Crap.
Coyle skidded to a halt about a half mile past where he needed to be. Hmmm. Maybe he did need that speed and agility...?
Shifting fully from his human skin, Coyle scampered back to Zeus, phasing through walls as he went.
Ooops!" He laughed, circling Zeus, trying to see if he would strike up another of his little magic overloads.
His body kept shifting in and out of the plane, sometimes knocking over things laying on the floor and other times going right through chairs and tables like they weren't even there.
"Let's try that again, shall we?"
Coyle, once he was behind Zeus, lashed out experimentally with a claw.
Let's test his speed!

Scening the attack from behind Zeus did a matrix like move and bent backwards on his back while making a successful hit on the claw. turning around to see Coyle Zeus nodded and made a grunting sound as to say whats next. but in no way was he acting cocky. Knowing that Coyle was probably holding back Zeus was ready for anything. but more than that he saw how this creature acted. he acted like a small boy and even though he was powerful Zeus didnt find him that bright. all he needed was one opening then he could bring Coyle to his knees (if he was lucky)

Snapping his paw back quickly, Coyle avoided most of the counterstrike. The rest was fixed when his regenerative abilities took over. Like a clay statue, Coyle's paw dented, then moulded itself back together again.
Just like Humpty Dumpty! Except he could pull himself back together again, without all them horses and men. Easy.
Still, Coyle made a showy leap away, drifting weightlessly until he landed on a dresser. He circled around it, like a cat looking for a place to sit down, his oily black fur shining brightly even though very little light was present.
Coyle made his own light. It was easier that way...
"Humpty Dumpty! Humpty Dumpty!" Coyle smiled, lazily laying on the dresser. His tail flicked back and forth, catlike, and his four front paws stretched out to the end of the fine wood top.
Yes, as awesome and magnificent as he was in body, he was quite the small fry mentally speaking. Not that he was any slouch. He had a head for complex mathematical calculations, and with one look he could take apart any computer and put it back together again. That wasn't where he lacked - intellectually. He lacked mentally. Age-wise. Coyle had lived ageless, longer and shorter a span of time than anything else. There was not time for him, only matter, energy, and thought. And so, although he tried, Coyle would always have that very mindset - the simplistic innocence of a child.
Now, whether he could break this habit or not was up for debate, but whether he wanted to? That was another story... Caught in childlike impudence, of his own device.
He played with a cobweb floating too near his paws, singing the old childhood melody.
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the king's horses and all the king's men Couldn't put Humpty together again
[/i][/b] Laughing, in his own little world, he barely noticed Zeus. To any onlooker he seemed a cat toying with a piece of spider's web. Then, in a moment of decision, Coyle ripped a hole in one of his favorite dimensions, and a spill of shadowlike monsters spewed out. He continued playing with his string, unaware. "Try that on for size, Sparky. Be careful though.... Those things bite..."[/color]

watching the strange black masses float around Zeus knew he had to be careful. one wrong move and who knows what would happen. just having present seam to weaken Zeus. he had to think quickly or he was a goner. He started off with a swipe towards on of the dark creatures. all tho he hit his target the attack had no effect. the strange being did slice apart but the molded back as one. there hast to be another way! Zeus thought. There is always a back door. thinking fast Zeus saw that they seamed to avoid his bright sword. with that in mind he sat on the floor like a monk with legs crossed. concentrating all his power Zeus made a field of lighting. hence his name Zeus always favored his control of lightning thats why he picked that name for him self. the more he pulled from his pool of power the brighter the ora got. one of the beast in fear attacked Zeus. once he hit the field of power the black cloud poofed into dust and ash. seeing that now the deadly beings grew smart the stayed away from the feild. using his quick thinking Zeus shot the field at then blasting them all to dust. but there was more trouble Zeus had used alot of power as it is and was tiring quickly.

By the time Coyle was done rolling around playfully with the piece of spider's web, there weren't any of his minions left. He rolled off the dresser, forgetting the web.
"What?! Come on! No fair!"
Coyle pouted, completely aware of the irony of "no fair."
No fair was a fight of one on countless. No fair was one fighting while the other played. No fair was energy draining tactics that took no energy to create.
That was no fair, but then Cole knew that. He flicked his tail irritably, staring with his luminous green eyes at Zeus.
Hmmm..... What else do I have? Ooh! I know!"
He flicked his tail again, and this time there was no gravity in the room. None. Weightlessness.
Coyle jumped off the dresser, inching over to where Zeus was now floating.
"I don't like gravity. Do you like gravity?"
He used one of his tentacles to poke at Zeus' sword. Bad idea. The thing sapped him. Must have been residual charge from the magic. Coyle inched away again, hissing and spitting.
"Ouch! Hey! Chill, Sparky!"
He shifted his head to the side, and gravity shifted with it. Everything moved to the left, creating a crushing gravitational force.
....and then to the right. And the left. And the right again.
"I'll make you a deal, Sparky!" Coyle smiled, never one to pass up the opportunity of a wager. "If you can reach me over here at the other end of the room, then you win this round. If you can't do it, and something squishes you, then you die! Deal?"
Of course it was a deal. Zeus couldn't refuse! Otherwise, he'd make the gravity a lot worse....

This was the last thing he had to do. but Zeus was already almost out of it. he had Almost no energy left. yet this was the last goal. the last thing he had to do. with the shifting gravity Zeus quickly came up with a plan to catch him. using the last of his power he remembered the explosion his sword made when he hit Coyle. now aiming himself at the cat like creature Zeus threw the sword the wrong way. or so it seamed. there was a huge boom and zeus went Flying towards Coyle but it was a bit to strong. instead of catching coyle he ended up tackling him. the two flew out of the building and landed on the ground with a thud. quickly Zeus grabbed his sword and was ready for the next attack. but even tho Zeus was ready for the attack he was moving side to side as if in a daze. he had almost nothing left in his pool of power and in his own body as well. but still he wasnt going to give up so strongly he asked. whats next.

Coyle was.... a little unprepared for the chimera to hit him smack in the face. In his surprise, he shifted out of the plane, taking Zeus with him. They flew through several walls completely unhindered until Coyle finally slowed the momentum and shifted back into the realm they were all familiar with.
They landed in the last room of the spooky old house.
"Wow! That was fun!"
Coyle disengaged himself from Zeus, his head still spinning. He took a few shaky steps before realizing he'd lost the bet.
He'd lost his game.... Damn!
Coyle shifted back into his human form, sitting down cross legged on the floor and drawing circles in the dust at his feet.
"Looks like you won, Sparky, and a bet's a bet."
The gravity issues had all been nicely cleared up. Nothing was left to show the battle had taken place, save the furniture in one of the rooms was all over the place. Yeah... Gravity could do that...
Coyle shook his head at Zeus' challenge.
"Nope! No "next." You're all done. You win."
And just like that, it was over. Coyle shrugged. At least he wasn't that bored now.
