In conjunction with the top of the hour, the lights in the theater flickered off, submerging the room in darkness only broken by the soft glow from the large movie screen. Feeling secure in the darkness that had engulfed the back of the theater, Hendrix couldn't help but scowl at the screen, his nails digging into the armrests of his chair ever so slightly. There were numerous better ways he could think of to spend a Sunday night. He could be stalking through the nearly empty castle again, or waiting outside the dorms for someone who had decide to go off on a midnight jog. But instead, he was here. On a date.
This girl had been more challenging than he had thought she'd be. She had received his complements quite well, of course, but she seemed rather weary about how quickly he had been coming onto her. She seemed to want to take things slow. Yes, she was one of those girls: not easy enough to be swayed by a gentle suggestion or two and not vulnerable enough to become captivated by a few, charming words. No, she was one of those strong-willed chicks. The kind that makes you slow down even though she knows she wants you just as badly. He always had to spend more time on them, but he did like a challenge every once in awhile.
Resting his arm on the back of the chair, he smiled at the girl beside him. One good thing about girls like this was that they gave him the opportunity to play a rather entertaining game. It didn't have a name and the objective was simple: to see how long it took to totally eliminate that stubborn mentality. He was confident that it'd only take to the end of the movie, but maybe he'd manage to convince her to leave halfway through. That wouldn't be so hard.
"So... Have you been at this school for long?"
Through experience he knew that people always enjoyed talking about themselves. So, one way to stay on good terms with her was to act as if he had actually taken an interest in her life. That was simple, since humans never really seemed to have much of a life, and what life they did have was always so short, so there wasn't much to remember.
None of it really mattered in the end though. After all, the only thing this date was doing was postponing the inevitable. If he hadn't found that girl in a public area full of witnesses, he wouldn't even be here right now. But because he had, he was just going to have to be patient. That was fine, since he was certain about one thing: he knew just how this night was going to end. Now... How long was this goddamn movie?

Nervously playing with a loose thread on her shirt sleeve, Amy did whatever she could to avoid making eye contact with the person beside her. Just what was wrong with her? Why was she so nervous? She'd talked to plenty of other guys before, so why was this time any different? But of course, she knew the reason. Hendrix wasn't like other guys. She knew the from the moment they met.
It was a very nice day, one like they hadn't seen in awhile, and Amy had decided to take that opportunity to work on her school work outside, beneath the shade of a tree. She had just finished the first page when all of a sudden this gorgeous guy walks right up to her and tells her how pretty she is before asking if he could talk with her for awhile. For once in her life, Amy was speechless. Never before did a guy just talk to her so straight-up like that. After that all she could do was stutter and ramble like an idiot for the longest time. Despite this, Hendrix had still acted so nice, and he kept smiling at her. Eventually, however, she had calmed down enough for them to have an actual conversation, and after much discusion they decided to meet again for a date.
Amy bit her lip, glad that the theater was so dark so that Hendrix wouldn't see her blush. It was kind of embarrassing, and something she'd never admit to him, but she had never been on an actual date before. She'd never had an actual boyfriend either. That fact only contributed to her overall nervousness. This was just silly! She had to get over this! It was just a date, after all! With an awesome guy too! She just had to relax.....
"Um, yeah... Well, no. I guess it depends on what you consider to be a long time. I mean, I wouldn't say it's been a long time. It feels like it's all passed by so quickly, ya know? 'Cause there's just so much to do around here and stuff, and it's really cool, and I've been trying to find secret passages and stuff around here 'cause that's what you'd find in an old, creepy castle, right? I haven't found any yet, though. I hear there's lots and lots out there, though! Oh, but I guess you just wanted to know just how long I've been here... About six months."
She sunk back into her chair, wringing her wrists together angrily. That wasn't quite right. Maybe she should give this one more shot. But how? Maybe just try small talk?
Glancing quickly up at the screen and realising that she'd forgotten what movie this was supposed to be, she risked casting a glance at Hendrix beside her.
"Pretty stupid movie, huh?" She offered with a nervous laugh.

It had been quite awhile since Hendrix had actually gone on a date with someone and he was beginning to remember why that was. Spending so much time with a girl and just talking... It was torture! And it was even worse when the girl had such an annoying voice, just like this chick's high-pitched squealing.
He only smiled and nodded at Amy's long, rambling response. Man, can't she even answer a simple question like that? For such an outgoing and cheerful chick, she seemed pretty inexperienced. Must have led a fairly sheltered life before she got to this school. Well, that was just fine with him. Her inexperience only made his job so much easier.
When she was finally finished, he looked back over at her with a smile. Since she constantly talked so much that didn't leave him with many opportunities to... Well, to hit on her. So that meant that he needed to take full advantage of whatever chance she gave him to speak. Luckily, this girl seemed to like people who were forward with her, but the question was how could he do this without seeming too forward? He didn't want to push her too far. Or maybe he did. Really, it all depended on how he wanted this night to end, and either of the two scenarios playing through his mind right now would work just fine for him.
"Yeah," He said in agreement, "Good thing I have something better to look at."
As he watched her, he had to be thankful that this school still had plenty of humans for him to play with. All these mythical creatures were a nice change of pace, but there were so many of them that would get so fidgety at the simplest of compliments and start sprouting feathers or horns or whatever. Even worse, he wasn't that good at sensing just what kind of creature he was hitting on. What if it was some big, ugly dragon? Just imagine if- Actually, it was better to not even go there.

Amy was unable to remember a time when she had blushed this much. Staring at her hands in her lap, she willed her face to go back to its normal color. However, it was no use as she could still feel the heat spreading across her face. She had to stop this. Other guys had called her pretty before, but she'd never reacted like this!
That was because none of those guys had been like him.
Yes, she knew that. For some reason, she'd been trying to deny these weird emotions she kept feeling, but what was the point? She just had to face facts. She liked this guy. A lot. More than any other guy she'd ever met. And these feelings... She coudn't identify them. Amy knew that she'd never felt anything like them before.
"Aw, y-you're so sweet..." She said quietly.
A good thing about movies was that you didn't really have to talk with whoever you were at the movies with. That could be a good thing. After all, if she just watched the movie, she wouldn't have to talk, and if she wasn't talking, then she wouldn't ramble or stutter. However, that proved to be easier said than done. No matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't concentrate on the movie. Not while he was beside her. Not while he was watching her. Besides, she still wanted to talk to him. Man, things were just so complicated!
"So, um... Have you been playing guitar for a long time? Do you write your own music?"
There, that wasn't so hard. And people liked to talk about themselves, right?

Taking advantage of the momentary lull in their conversation, he used his advantageous vantage point at the back of the theater to scout out other potential playthings. There were quite a few other girls here tonight. Most of them were with other guys but Hendrix didn't bother giving them a second glance. After all, if a girl was forced to choose between him and them; well, it was no contest.
Turning back to Amy, he slid his arm over so that it rested upon the back of her chair. He did enjoy watching her squirm like that. It was as if she were fighting some difficult battle inside of her head. Whatever it was, it was fun to watch.
"Yeah, I've been playing for... As long as I can remember."
The side of his mouth twitched slightly at that sentence. Well, it was very, very true. The guitar part, however, was much more recent. He had only started... Was it 100 years ago? Give or take, like, 50... Oh, this ******* world and its ******* time! Well it was about 100 years ago, he was pretty sure about that.
Yes, it was around that time that he learned that chicks always like musicians. It was like a genetic predisposition or something. And so, as soon as he learned this fact, it only made sense for him to learn how to play an instrument or two. That way he'd have an advantage when he went after different, more challenging targets.
Before then, he had only gone after the easier targets. The degree of difficulty didn't really matter to him as long as he got what he wanted in the end. Because of that, the easiest targets for him were mostly street walkers. I mean, they were just asking for it! And he'd gladly gave it to them. Many of them.
Ah, he vividly remembered one time, not that long after he came to this world, when he had been hanging around the London area. There had been quite a few appetizing women just roaming the streets at night, all alone. Needless to say, he had taken it upon himself to keep them company. Oh, and the entire city's reaction had been priceless! At the time he hadn't thought to dispose of the bodies, but it turned out for the best. Then he'd managed to have even more fun by ******* with everyone's minds. By the time he was finished with that place he had just about everyone too scared to leave their houses. He had practically become a ******* legend there!
Good times... Maybe he should head back there when he was done with this school.
But that was then and this was now. And right now there was a tantalizing young lady who needed all of his attention.
"Mmhm... Ya know, I should totally right a song about you."
Easy enough since he'd written plenty of songs about plenty of girls before. All he had to do was take one of the songs and replace that name with Amy. He'd just have to pick one where that girl also had the long "e" sound at the end of her name too. See, easy.

Amy shivered slightly as Hendrix slid his arm across the back of her chair. Although, she wasn't quite sure why she'd had that reaction. It wasn't like the good, excited kind of shiver, it was more like... Actually, she wasn't sure what it was like. But it felt kind of ominous for some reason
Oh... She was probably reading into this a little too much.
She inhaled deeply, steadying her breathing. The more he talked, the more comfortable she was starting to feel. He just paid so much attention to her... And well he should, since it was a date and all! But still, it kinda felt like she was the only girl in the whole world when he looked at her like that. And she liked it.
She laughed softly at how silly she'd been. All this time she'd been wondering and worrying, but he was just a really nice guy.
"Wow, thanks! No one's ever done that before."
Smiling, she began to wonder what the song would be like if he wrote it. Well, it'd be a love song, of course! But would it be a ballad? Or maybe it'd have some rock elements in it. She could see that coming from him. Or maybe even metal! Now that'd be crazy!
Content, she leaned back, resting her head against his arm as she tried to figure out what had happened in the movie. It was probably useless, though. She hadn't been watching it at all all this time, and she doubted she'd be able to start now.

Finally! It was about time he got a reaction from this chick. Though it was true that he enjoyed the challenge she had given him... Well, it had just taken too damn long!
But finally she had warmed up to him. When she spoke there was no more hesitance in her voice, no more rambling, not even anymore shying away from him. Well, she did sort of flinch there, but that was understandable. I mean, he was an incredibly good-looking guy.
With a lecherous grin, he draped his arm across her shoulders, pulling her closer to him. Now this movie just needed to end. Then they can get out of here where he would then gently suggest to her that they go back to his place... And get even more well acquainted.
Oh, but it was a bit of a walk back to the hotel, wasn't it? And he couldn't just shift into the Shadow Plane to make a shortcut for them. No, this stupid human had no idea that creatures like him even existed. She probably didn't even know about all of the other planes and dimensions all around her. Yeah, so that idea was no good. After all, then he'd have to explain everything to her and then she'd probably be way too interested in all this other **** and she'd forget about just why they'd gone back to his place in the firs place.
Well, he could always be a little more... Forceful with her. He didn't need to go back to the hotel for that. And if he dragged her onto his plane, he wouldn't have to stop and explain everything.
But then again... He wasn't quite in the mood for that.
Eh... Perhaps he'd just settle for the long walk back after all. Or even better, maybe this girl was adventurous. He might be able to coax her into the forest...
Well, he still had a bit of time to figure it out. Maybe she even had a few suggestions of her own. At least the hard part was over. Now all he had to do was wait for this movie to end as he let his mind think about all the things that he could do to this girl.

Amy involuntarily inhaled sharply when she felt his hand on her shoulder. However, she didn't flinch this time. She didn't pull away either. Smiling, she scooted closer to him - or as close as she could get because of those stupid hand rests - before resting her head on his shoulder.
That settled it. Now she was convinced that whatever had caused her to feel apprehensive was dead wrong. And that didn't matter now. All that mattered was her and him and their awesome new relationship that was certainly going to make all of her friends jealous! Yep, they'd probably want to steal him from her too, but that didn't matter either. He was with her and only her, and she just knew that that's how it would be for a long time!
With a content sigh, she closed her eyes. This was nice... She almost didn't want the movie to end. This had definately been the greatest first date ever and she'd never forget it. She was certain that Hendrix had to feel the same, as well. It was such a special moment, so how could he not?
(ooc: Sorry >.> Ran out of muse... And time)

Man, he was good. There were times when his awesome skills managed to even impress himself. But he did have several hundred years to perfect them. Oh, what was the point in being modest? Especially to himself! No, all the practice had next-to-nothing to do with it. He was just that awesome.
As she moved closer to him, it got a bit more difficult for him to concentrate, but just a bit. He was used to having all of these perverse thoughts flipping through his mind on any given day at any given time. It was like a routine for him. Some people wondered about where to have lunch; he wondered about... Well, very different things.
Grasping her shoulder more tightly, he pulled her even closer, just about dragging her over the arm rest. Alright... Now this ******* movie just really needed to-
As if on cue, all the lights in the theater flickered on at once. He blinked in confusion several times, staring up at the blank screen before glancing around and watching as people began to file out. Well, finally! It felt like that movie would never end... Or maybe it only felt like that because the entire time he had pretty much been waiting for it to end. Well, whatever! At least it was over now.
Jumping to his feet, he turned to offer Amy his hand.
"Shall we?" He said, barely able to contain his excitement.
Without waiting for a response, he seized her arm and proceeded to drag her outside. They were on a tight schedule here. A schedule which require them to get to wherever the hell they were going as quickly as they possibly could. No, he wasn't a very patient person. And yet, he still had to remember not to rush things. It would suck if he scared her off now.
Riiiiiight. Slow. He needed to slow down.
Forcing himself to lessen his pace to simply a stroll, he released her arm to grab her by the hand, intertwining their fingers.
"Ah... So... Nice night isn't it?" He offered. The weather was almost always a safe conversation. Especially if you could slip a compliment in there as well, "It's almost as pretty as you."
Those were exceptionally cheap words and he knew it. But what did it really matter? He already had her right where he wanted.

It was all just so nice... So relaxing. All the sounds of the world around her seemed like they were so far away now. Like nothing else mattered. And that was just fine with her. If time suddenly stood still and they were stuck like this forever, well that would just be beautiful! Why wouldn't it? I mean, it was all so-
The harsh, bright lights suddenly brought her out of her fantasies. She sat up straight, blinking as she stared at the blank screen, trying to gather her thoughts.
Aw, why'd it have to end so soon? That was definately one of the best movies she'd ever seen... Even though she had no idea what it was about or what it was even called.
With a sly smile, she looked up, seeing that Hendrix was already ready to leave. He seemed to be in a hurry for some reason. But why? Maybe he just didn't want to stay in an empty theater for long. She could relate. After all, it was kinda creepy when there wasn't anybody in here.
Before she had a chance to respond, she was being towed out of the theater and into the night air. She had to giggle at his enthusiasm, though she began to wonder just what he was so excited about... Oh, there she went reading too far into things again! He was probably just excited about spending time with her like she was enjoying spending time with him.
When she heard his question followed by that sweet compliment, she had to giggle again. Aw, he was just so adorable!
"Yeah... It's a very nice night."
She quickened her pace slightly so that she was walking beside him, holding onto his arm with both of her hands. With a content sigh she looked up at the sky. It looked like the stars were exceptionally bright tonight. Yeah... this was such a perfect day...
"I... Really like you."

Alright, what next? A few gentle persuasions, perhaps? Or maybe he should try being not-so-gentle. It was kinda hard to tell with this chick. On the one hand, there was a definite shy and vulnerable side to her, not to mention that sexy innocence... However, on the other hand, she also seemed to have a real spitfire personality. It was a slippery slope. It'd be a lot easier if she gave him a hint. Or-
Wait, what was that?.. Did she just give him an invitation?
Hendrix gave her a curious sideways glance, trying to figure out just what she'd meant. He could tell that there were so many subtle hints in her words. And it wasn't just her words, but the way she said them. A very nice night? She really liked him? And the way she was holding onto him like that... Oh yeah, it was definitely an invitation.
With a laugh, he stopped walking and flipped her around so that she faced him. Placing both of his hands on her back, he forced her closer to him. Though he was sure not to be too rough with her. She would still be able to escape if she wanted to, not that she would want to. After all, if he was as harsh with her as he sometimes was with other chicks... Well, he really didn't want to make a scene. No, that'd have to wait until they were alone...
"Yeah? That's cool, 'cause... I really like you too."
Yet more cheap words. But for some reason, women seemed to like that. Whatever. As long as it worked, he wasn't about to question it.
Sliding a hand up to the back of her neck, he gently brought her head up and pressed his lips against hers. In the end, he decided that he needed to use something in between a gentle and a rough persuasion. This was rare, indeed. Usually he either needed to use one extreme or the other, however, when the situation called for something different, who was he to deny it?

Amy fell into a fit of giggles as she listened to his words. So he did like her! No, he really liked her. She knew it, she just knew it. Honestly, at first, she had her doubts. He had come onto her so suddenly, and she couldn't help but wonder about him. She couldn't help but think that maybe he was just one of those scumbag pervs who were just looking for one thing... But she was wrong! She was absolutely certain of that now.
At this point, she would have probably began rambling on again about whatever random subject thought to enter her mind right then, effectively making a fool of herself. Not that it really mattered to her now that she knew just how much he liked her. However, the sudden kiss pushed any and all thoughts out of her mind immediately.
Shocked, she merely stood there, completely still for several moments, acting as if it were dangerous to move. Then, slowly, she began to get more comfortable. Letting her eyes close, she slid her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. It just felt so... Right. But this is what people do when they're in love, isn't it?
Wait... Love? No, this wasn't love. Or was it? Actually... Oh, who knew? It was all starting to get so confusing. All she knew at this moment was that she didn't want to stop...
Oh wait, what was that? There had been something she wanted to tell him before... This. But what was it? She knew it was pretty important...
Oh, that's right!
Reluctantly, she pulled away from him, but she kept her hands on his shoulders.
"Really? I'm glad!.. And, there's something I figure I should tell you..."
It wasn't that important, really. After all, Amy was sure that it wouldn't change their relationship at all. And yet, she felt strangely obligated to tell him before they went any further. Well, it was the polite thing to do, she supposed. And it was best to get it out in the open right away instead of later.
"See, it's just... Well, I'm saving myself for marriage," She finished with a bright smile, "And that's... Okay with you, isn't it?"
Of course it would be! He wouldn't break up with her because of something as silly as that. Their relationship was much stronger than that. Of course he'd understand where she was coming from and respect her decision. And now that that was taken care of, they could really concentrate on developing their relationship even more. It was all so wonderful...

So close! He was just so close now! This girl had it bad for him, that was obvious. And hey, who could blame her? He really was that good. But she pretty much belonged to him now. Completely. It probably wouldn't be hard to convince her to do anything, really! He could... Wait...
What did she just say?
He froze, staring at her, trying to make sure that he heard her correctly. So... She wasn't about to sleep with him? What's more, she... No... She... Wasn't serious, was she?!
Unintentionally, his smile faltered and the color drained from his face. He was only able to stare at her in a mixture of confusion, anger, and despair, his hands trembling slightly. Even his mind was apparently unable to function properly. This just didn't make sense... How... What... Why...
Kill it! Dead!
Finally snapping back to reality, he hastily replaced his smile, and rubbed her back in a reassuring way. This was ridiculous! He was letting a human get the better of him?! No! He had to do... Something!
"Hey... Y- Yeah, of course that's okay! Why- Why wouldn't it be?" He replied with a nervous laugh.
Letting go of her, he stepped back, glancing around at their surroundings. No good. There were still too many witnesses. However, most of them seemed to be getting ready to head back to the school. Ah, that's right. It was getting pretty late, wasn't it? So, maybe if they walked out just a little further he'd have a chance.
"Um, hey... The night's still young, right? So... You wanna take a walk with me... Somewhere?"
It sounded like a simple suggestion, but in actuality, he was pretty much begging her. He had to get out. He had to get out now. And fast. This... Wasn't fun anymore!

As Hendrix stepped back, she clapped her hands together, giggling in a childish manner. So she was right again! And of course she was! It was stupid to have even a shred of doubt about him anymore. He really was as awesome as she had thought he was.
With a content sigh, she reached out and grabbed his hand, clasping it between both of hers as she looked up at him with a dreamy expression on her face. It was taking a bit of an effort not to explain about the life she had been planning for them in her mind. It was only their first date, after all, and she didn't want to make it seem like she was rushing things.
Amy smiled even more broadly at his next words. It sounded like he was as disappointed about the night ending as she was. Not that she could blame him. This had to have been the best first date ever in history. But all good things have to come to an end, don't they.
"Oh, I'd love to! But-" Frowning, she glanced back toward the school, wondering if it'd really be that big of a deal if she just went with Hendrix instead. Unfortunately, she decided that she just couldn't ignore her responsibilities, "But I promised to meet up with a group of friends to study. Big physics test tomorrow. I know, sucks, right?"
It just wasn't fair that they'd have to say goodbye. But it wasn't like it was going to be for very long. Amy had a feeling that they were going to be spending a lot of time together. A lot.
"But... I'll call you tomorrow, 'kay?" Leaning forward and standing on her toes, she quickly kissed him on the lips before turning away, blushing madly, "See ya."
Turning on her heels, she made for the castle immediately. Still blushing, she had to fan herself with her hands in an effort to cool down. How she was going to be able to concentrate on anything for the rest of the night was a mystery to her.

His anger rising with each passing second, it was taking every bit of Hendrix's concentration to remain calm. Or to at least appear calm.
This was all so ****** up! He was losing control of the situation and he didn't like it. And what was he getting so worked up about? About her? That was ridiculous! Although, he did have a very good reason to be upset about this. After all these years of playing the same game was he really about to break his great taboo? Was he about to get himself a girlfr-
No! Don't say it, don't even think about it! That was just disgusting... He couldn't have that! He wouldn't!
And yet what could he do?
Unable to find the answer to that question, he only stared at her helplessly as she rattled off some excuse before running back toward the castle with promises of yet more chatter tomorrow. Shaking his head in disbelief, he turned away, attempting to figure out what to do next.
Did he go after her and risk being caught? He'd already messed with a human chick here once already and... He wasn't sure how well that had worked in the end. So did he just ignore her? It was a big school, so it couldn't be so hard. Oh, but she had his ******* number, didn't she? Well, he'd just screen her calls. Or get a new number. Whatever!
Unfortunately... Something told him it wouldn't be that easy.
Way to go. Now we have a girlfriend.
No, this was even worse. This was a girlfriend who had no interest in sleeping with him.
His anger boiling over, he turned his attention toward a group of trees, loosing several bolts of magic at them accompanied by a string of curses. Too far gone, he didn't pay any attention to the group of people who had soon gathered around to watch him level the forest.
This ******* night... Everything had just gone so wrong... Oh, so very wrong...
