Crane looked mildly confused by the strange way Zeus reacted, and so too did he wonder why Draner was so worried.

Looking at the tip of the sword, which was about an inch away from his face, he mildly seemed to ignore it, looking instead at the person holding it.

"I'm Crane, but you can call me Professor Crane because my last name is only used by people who don't like me."

He smiled, cheerily, but with a strange stiff mannerism, as if he wasn't used to talking to people. In fact, if you had any skill in communicating at all, you'd see that he had no experience whatsoever. He was talking about the different uses of his name, after all...

"In any case," Crane said, now ignoring Zeus and looking at Draner briefly, "You should be heading back to school now. Your teachers have been worried."

well this unexpected person wasn't threating.
he didn't even seam like he could fight at all.
Zeus put his sword away (witch seamed to vanish behind his back).
I'm Zeus he said bowing respectively. he was still uneasy about this man for some reason, but Drenar knew him so he cant be that bad.
Zeus knelt down to help Drenar.
as she got up he saw she had a slight limp.
I guess her leg is still weak Zeus though.
but he wasn't sure to walk her to the dorms or let her go herself.

Draner nodded and glanced at Zeus, smiling as though to say thank you for taking care of her while her leg was hurt, even though her leg was hurt by him to begin with. With a light nudge she said "I have to go back to school now. I'll see you later, I guess?" the kitsune said with a light smile and turned back in the direction of the large and almost gothic looking school in the distance.

Zeus sadly watched the two figures vanish into the woods.
what was he to do now.
his tummy rumbled.
maybe a little food might help the foxes mind think clearly.
so off the red creature went to hunt.
one step in the woods and life felt like it died.
the trees were dark and the animal were hidden (or dead).
a smell ran through the forest that smelled like rotten eggs.
something was very wrong in the woods and even Zeus could feel.
But what really caught the eyes of Zeus was the Roots and vines.
they were dripping what seamed to be blood.

This is not good Zeus thought.
not good at all i need to get Drenar fast.
with that Zeus started on a run that would be longer than any other walk he has ever done.

Draner followed closely behind the headmaster of the school. Once they got almost to the center of the forest was when she felt the spirit of nature scream out in impossible agony, it quivered and undilated under her tender paws. So soon after Zeus had leveled some of the forest, whatever was attacking it was too powerful for it to fend off. All too soon the cry died out. The trees around her turned gray and sickly like stone and the wind also died. Animal noises ceased, and it was as though the forest died.

She soon lost sight of Dr. Crane, and stood there, glancing around, turning, twisting, watching, waiting. Why was this happening? She couldn't even hear the cry of the spirit world anymore. Radio silence.

Something was happening. Something immeasurably bad.

Zeus felt like he was going to pass out.
Crane and Drenar had made it a long distance in front of Zeus.
He had been running through the Forest. normally this would have been very easy. but for some reason Zeus felt very drained.
the woods went the only effected.
in fact anything in the Land of trees were being drained of power and strength.
the question was were the trees doing this or something more powerful.

finally he caught up with Drenar.
it looked like Crane had walked ahead but Drenar seamed to be in some kind of trance.

Zeus
Drenar whats wrong with the woods Zeus asked franticly.
Drenar Snap out of it.
Zeus was now shaking Denar to pull her out of the strange trance.

[Anzeh]

All of a sudden, her surroundings changed. Now she was in the Spirit World, which was something like being trapped in a world in technicolor, while a dome-like shape pressed out the darkness. It was like being in a snowglobe. Fire flickered and licked at everything around her, and staring at the sky, she found a long jagged crack in the dome that protected the realm of the spirits. Demons were entering, and trying to make spirit world fall! Oh no...

Terror rose within her. How could this happen?

Of course, she thought almost instantly. This is Zeus's fault. His fault for hurting the forest like he did. She was weak, and couldn't help keep the barrier up. The Supreme Mother could try with all her might to make up for the drop in energy, but even she couldn't creat energy out of nothing!

Even as she thought this, something large and shadowy was looming over her...

Rather suddenly, this all vanished.

Her eyes snapped back into focus as Zeus shook her back and forth. Her eyes flashed with anger, but it would be wrong to attack him. After all, the forest was as much his home as it was everyone else's.

"... Something's destroying spirit world. If we don't stop it everything on earth will die."

No pressure though.

In shock Zeus sat down on the dark ground.
This is all my fault Zeus wispered.
if it wasn't for him none of this would be here.
I have caused nothing but trouble sense you found me Drenar.
Why shouldn't i just go back into hiding and leave this world alone again.
I have hurt myself, i have hurt the woods, and most importantly I have hurt you.
I havent done anything good for this world or for anyone.
and now I have problay ended the forast as we know it.
I'm not good for anything but death.
And yet i want to help people.
but how can i when i hurt everything around me.
unless i rid this world of my very soul.
Zeus held hes sword tip to his heart.
I guess this is good bye.

[Anzeh]

Draner's ears pushed against her head as Zeus spoke to her. Something was dawning on her. This couldn't all be his fault. One little chimera in the material world couldn't cause this much damage to the Spirit World. Maybe if she just waited, he would calm down. But then she saw him draw his sword and point at his heart, saying goodbye...

"No!" She shouted in a voice far louder than her own. In normal circumstances birds and rabbits and deer would be frightened and take of running, but since nothing seemed to be alive in the woods anymore, no noise except her echo was heard. "This isn't all your fault. Your destroying the forest did weaken the spirit, but not enough to let this happen. And besides, you saved me, remember?"

The kitsune walked towards the chimera and gently pushed his paw to make the sword move from in front of his heart. "If it wasn't for you then I wouldn't be alive right now. I think having a broken leg is far better than being dead."

Once the sword was away fromhis heart, he wrapped her arms around him and kissed him on the cheek. "And besides, you're very strong. I wouldn't be able to fix this on my own. But with your help, maybe..."

She looked down and began talking again, but not to him. "When I went to Spirit World, I saw a lot of those demony things that killed your parents. The barrier between the two worlds must be breaking. It's happened before, though, way before I was born."

Zeus wasn't fully convinced it wasn't all his fault. he was half demon even Zeus didn't know the power he had with in.
but he was feeling better with drenar. but I'm the one that almost got you killed.
he inbraced Drenar with a huge hug. it was more him holding her than a hug really.
but it made him feel better.
I love you drenar so much. thank you.
and yet now i owe you my life.
Zeus walked over to his sword and moved to a tree.
I'm sorry you have to see this.
Zeus laid himself standing up against the tree and took the sword blade in hand.
with bleeding hands he stabbed the right side of his chest.
Screaming in pain with Blood everywhere White light Exploded from his eyes.
Zeus was connecting with the tree spirit using it to taxi to the spirit world.
this was something Zeus had never tried but he was willing to take that risk for Drenar

Draner had to bite her lip to keep herself from gagging at all the blood. She merely hoped that he wasn't dead and that he had used the tree like he'd meant to. Closing her eyes, her body lay on the ground and took the form of a large pearl.

She opened her spiritual eyes and stood in the forest. Currently she was on the in-between plane, not quite in the Spirit World and not quite on earth. Glancing around she found a wisp that was Zeus's spirit. It was a trail left behind saying that he'd passed through this realm. He was probably in spirit world.

So she fazed up and stood in the burning holocaust that had become the once beautiful spirit world. Draner wanted to cry, but would resist the urge.

It was like a rollercoster.
constant spinning!
there were a couple of times were Zeus blacked out.
the spinning never seamed to stop. his head felt like it was going to explode.
soon he stopped finding himself right behind a very sad looking fox.
Walking up to his love he put his right arm over her and is left he used to bring her head to his chest.

Zeus
There, There,
I'm here for you and ill make everything better.
just relax and take a deep breath.
rest your head on me; i will protect you till the end.



Zeus was trying his best to help the sad vixen.
he held her tight.
he grabbed her hand and lifted her chin.
I love you! Zeus kissed Drenar passionately.

Draner squeaked pathetically as something put its arm around her, but realxed when she realised it was just Zeus. the young female placed her head on his chest and breathed slowly and steadily, trying not to break out crying like she wanted to so deeply inside. She had to stay calm! How was she going to save spirit world if she was so distraught? Where was the powerful, albeit evil vixen that she was. She was Draner, a killer, and she would kill everything that dared set foot in Spirit World that didn't belong.

She would burn them all to the ground.

Their lips connected in a rather passionate kiss, causing the fox to laugh slightly. Draner drew up to two legs, which she'd never done before.
