Although the campus was an entertaining place to be, it did have its fair share of problems. Namely the people. There were just too many of them. And most of them were really freaky, magic animal-type things that had all sorts of freak powers... Hell, some of them could even read minds. Being in the middle of a sea of mythical freaks did have its advantages, though. It was easy to hide, for one. However, one slip up, a telepathic freak finds out about him, and he'd find himself in some serious ****. Not at all good for a guy like Hendrix. Just thinking about it was making him paranoid.
Yes, sometimes it was good to just take a break. He had a pretty demanding job after all... Well, it was more of a hobby, really.
There wasn't anyone out as far as Hendrix could see from where he was lounging in the shade of a large tree, his guitar resting against his chest. Since he found this school, he had been so dreadfully busy, that he'd neglected to practice at all. Not that he needed practice, of course. He had decades of practice beneath his belt. It was just a way to relax now.
He removed the cigarette from his mouth, exhaling a puff of smoke before he replaced it, letting it hang loosely from his lips. Without even having to think about what he was doing, his fingers found precisely the frets he needed as he strummed several chords of a song he composed long ago. He never actually composed a new song in ages. All he ever did now was replay all of these old melodies and variations of them. There were times when he considered attempting to write a new song, but there just wasn't enough time. He had nothing but time a few hundred years ago. Now... Not so much.
Listening to the melody he was playing, he gave a growl of disapproval. Stopping abruptly, he let the notes trail off before setting about adjusting the pegs ever so slightly, being very meticulous, until he was finally satisfied. Once that task was complete, he returned to the melody, the notes echoing all throughout the forest once again.

people didn't know when to shut their mouths. aurelia was never one to deny company but she sure as hell was one to tell someone when they needed to shut their yap. her day had been completely unplanned, nothing had been scheduled and she was going to take the time to simply relax. relaxation. that was definitely what she had needed but it hadn't been something that she was soon to receive. a group of girls had viciously ambushed her and rallied her into one the girls rooms. to talk. all they had wanted to do was talk.
aurelia really enjoyed conversing. a good, long conversation was needed every once in a while. these girls weren't conversing though, they were chattering. and what was worse was that they were yammering on about meaningless things. relic couldn't relate them in anyway. she didn't brood over the petty subjects they seemed to obsess. she hadn't even been in the room for ten minutes before she rudely excused herself because she remembered some 'homework' that direly needed to be finished. she had never thought that she would be joyful to simply be alone.
she couldn't escape off of school grounds quick enough. her goal was to avoid all classmates and find a place where she could be on her own. today would be declared a day where aurelia wanted nothing more then peace. she swiftly traveled and soon approached centaur's woods. the perfect place to escape. many times she had been advised that the heart of the woods were unsafe. did she care? hell no! aurelia isadora swift was a proud shadow dragon and could hold her own in the meager centaur's woods.
someone else was tucked away in the woods. the sound was weak from she stood but aurelia could hear...the strumming of a guitar? a stranger playing in the woods didn't sound like something to grow alarmed over but aurelia was constantly wary. soundlessly, she traveled through the shadows. in seconds she had approached the epicenter of the noise. aurelia placed a hand on the large trunk of the tree that she stood behind. she instantly realized who it was. relic slipped out from behind the tree and made a graceful path towards hendrix. "hello hendrix," relic suavely cooed, a coy smile apparent on her pretty face.

The rest of the world didn't exist right now. That was how it worked whenever Hendrix picked up a guitar. Nothing else mattered; his focus was solely on the music. His fingers moved without being told to; his eyes half-closed, not seeing anything. He didn't need to. This was like a sixth sense for him. Well, seventh if you included seducing the ladies.
So invested was he in the music that he failed to notice the footsteps that signaled someone's approach. He didn't even notice as they walked right up to him. It wasn't until he heard his name that he finally snapped back to reality with a jolt, the melody ending with a clang of wrong notes.
Startled and annoyed at having been disturbed, he removed what was left of the cigarette from his mouth and glared up at the intruder. Almost as soon as he saw her, however, his anger vanished, and his glare was replaced by that familiar, inviting smile.
He was all too ready to forgive this attractive young lady for bothering him. He'd certainly forgive any girl, of course, but this one was different in that he was already just a little familiar with her.
It had only been a week ago? Maybe two that he had happened across the babe in the same forest. She seemed to like to wander like that. And despite the incredible opportunity that had just landed in his lap, he was unfortunately already busy looking after a pair of twins and really, he couldn't pass that up. So all they had managed to get in was a quick conversation, but he in no way forgot about her. In fact, he made a promise to himself that he would have her some day, and apparently that day came sooner than he thought it would.
Quickly flipping through all the files in his mind, he tried to match a name to that face.
"Relic," He purred, sitting up straighter, "You're looking as gorgeous as ever, I see. Please, have a seat!"
He gestured around at the general area, though he noticeably slid over, making room for her to sit beside him. Sitting his guitar up straight, he rested his chin upon it as he looked up at her.
"So tell me... What brings you to my humble, little part of the woods today?"

her bright blue eyes slowly drank in hendrix's appearance. he was more edgy than all of the guys that resided at chimera. though he wasn't exactly aurelia's type she couldn't deny that fact that he was handsome in an unique sort of way. too bad she wouldn't let the thoughts of praise slip from her mouth. no one that aurelia interacted with deserved praise, relic herself was the only who truly expected praise. and she received compliments quite often. aurelia possessed a charming beauty and she most certainly knew that. so when hendrix spewed out a compliment relic graced him with a brilliant smile that brilliantly illuminated her face.
"you flatter me, dear," aurelia purred. her eyes glimmered with satisfaction. compliments always seemed to fuel her ego. hendrix hadn't failed to meet her set standard of praise. during their first encounter, around two weeks ago or so, he had showered her in enough compliments to fuel her ego for the rest of eternity. aurelia just really appreciated the truth when it came from handsome looking gentlemen. they knew when a beautiful thing had come their way and were eager to express it. relic commended them for that.
he had motioned for her to sit but had almost inconspicuously scooted over on the rock that he had been seating on. it was a subtle way of saying that he would particularly like if she sat beside him. "a seat i shall take," relic murmured. her lazy stride guided her across the small distance that remained between the tree and the rock. she primly sat on the rock, the side of her body slightly pressed up against hendrix's. a tiny smirk appeared on her face before she pushed herself away from hendrix. it was fun teasing men. "the chicks back at the academy don't know when to shut their damn mouths. i got irritated of their constant and decided to talk a walk. and then you came into the picture." aurelia explained with a soft giggle. she stared up at hendrix and kept her gaze on him as she expectantly tugged on a piece of pale pink hair.

Hendrix sighed appreciatively as he watched her glide over toward him. He did so admire the female body. Especially when it was in motion like that. That was when you could get a good look at all those delicious curves. Just watching a girl move was almost as enjoyable as... Well, you can fill in the blanks.
When she sat next to him, he had to keep himself from trembling as she pressed up against him ever so slightly. He laughed nervously as he often did when a girl actually got bold with him. Looking into her eyes, he listened to her short story, forcing himself to remain as calm as he would be if he were in control again. And he would be in control again soon. Just look at her! It was entirely too obvious that she wanted him. That look in her eyes... She was practically begging for it!
Not one to keep a lady waiting, he slid just a little closer to her, placing a hand on her shoulder. Since she seemed to be done with her story, he nodded in an understanding way. Women liked that sort of crap. They liked a guy who would listen... And give the occasional feedback, but mostly just listen and agree with whatever the hell they were saying.
"Yeah, I know what you mean. Sometimes you just need to get away from all that **** for awhile."
Looking away, he dropped the remains of his cigarette on the ground, crushing it beneath his boot. He never took his hand off of her shoulder, however, and he took this distraction as an opportunity to nonchalantly move it to the middle of her back instead.
"That's kind of why I'm here too. But now we both have someone who we can just... Relax with. How wonderful!"
He turned back toward her again, still smiling. Oh yes... He would so like to relax with her. Yes indeed. Maybe they could go relax back at his place...

he was playing her. it was so easy to detect. aurelia had been around enough guys to decipher when their feelings and actions were a facade or actually genuine. he was pulling the classic 'i'll listen to whatever you say and give you a generic answer' act. so many guys had done the same with relic. being a copy cat had never really impressed aurelia. when they actually didn't listen also irritated aurelia. if they didn't want to be attentive then why were they even trying to talk to her. aurelia was the kind of person that constantly was immersed in conversations. someone who didn't want to listen wasn't worth her time.
obviously he had though that she was expecting some sort of reaction for he had placed a hand on her shoulder. aurelia stared down at his had but didn't say anything. then hendrix crushed his cigarette and used this as a poor excuse to slide his hand down to her back. the material of her shirt was thin and the heat that radiated from her palm warmed her back. relic pressed her back up against his palm, teasing him. he didn't look like one that liked to be taunted. did relic care? hell no. she would put him into place if he even tried to do anything. relic controlled what happened and she made sure that everyone knew that.
relic lifted her long, sinewy arms and stretched them over her head. she arched her back to stretch and moved out of hendrix's grasp. "relaxing in solitary is fun..." aurelia paused for a second before letting out a breathy laugh. "what a lie that is! i'd much rather have company. and look what i got! you!" relic pointed and hendrix before smiling sweetly. hopefully this conversation would entertain her long enough to pass quite a bit of time. 'so hendrix, telll me something, anything at all!" aurelia threw her hands up in the air, dramatically, as if to signal that everything around them counted as anything. my, she was acting out quite a bit today.

With some difficulty, he continued to smile at her, even as he withdrew his hand when she moved away slightly. As strange as it was to say, maybe he had been wrong? Unlikely... But this chick was sending him all sorts of mixed signals. One minute her desire for him was obvious, and the next it looked like she was having second thoughts. Just what was going on in her head? Or was this all just some sick joke?
Unfortunately, he wasn't given enough time to figure this out before the conversation shifted back to him again. She wanted him to tell her... Something? What kind of a request was that? He was starting to think that this chick wasn't all there, and if she wasn't as hot as she was, he'd have probably just given up. Despite the way he acted sometimes, admitting defeat wasn't beyond him.
Clasping his hands together in front of him, he considered her request for a moment.
"Um, well..." He looked back at Relic before casting a quick glance around at their surroundings, as if he was hoping to find a suitable answer among the trees. It was like a game. But what move did he make now? He knew what he wanted, but what route should he take to get there? Well he could always ask for help. Yeah, why not go with that, "Hey, here's something: I've got Vodka, let's get hammered!"
Reaching into his jacket pocket, he produced a small, glass bottle. He turned his back on Relic for just a second as he opened it before he quickly thrust the bottle into her hands. Removing another bottle from his pocket, he removed the top and took a quick drink himself.
"Oh, cheers," He added with a smile before draining the rest of the bottle.

he had discovered her weakness. probably without even meaning to. she was a hardcore drinker. though aurelia had never gotten fully wasted there had been plenty of times when she had woken in an unknown place. it didn't matter what type of drink it was. as long as it was an alcohol it would be sure to make its way down relic's throat. were all dragons drinkers like aurelia? probably not. she just had an obsession with drinking. her habit wasn't one that she particularly enjoyed to admit. if she told it to the wrong person then things could get out of control very quickly. aurelia had already had enough of that.
"that's one way to put it," aurelia softly laughed. people used such horrendous slang these days. no one cared for proper words and terms. what had the great language know as english gone? down the drain. "this almost feels like deja vu." probably not the smartest thing to say. still, aurelia could have sworn that something similar to this had happened before. or maybe her mind was overreacting because she had grown giddy for vodka.
"thank you, sir," aurelia purred. she delicately held the bottle and inspected the tiny bottle with a careful eye. the liquid was a color she had never seen before. that gave aurelia even more reason to greedily gulp it down. she was on a mission to taste every type of alcohol known to man...creature. she popped the cap off and swallowed the liquid down quickly. it tasted delicious. aurelia seductively licked her lips. "that was yummy. where'd ya get it?" if it was possible she would have loved to get her hands on that vodka again.

He watched complacently as she downed every last drop. She seemed to have a weakness for liquor, which made the situation that much better. She didn't hesitate at all, didn't seem to think about how strange it was that he simply carried alcohol with him wherever he went. Well, that was one less explanation to give, at least.
She hadn't seemed to notice the extra ingredient he'd added either, tough that was understandable. It didn't have much of a taste and she seemed to be unfamiliar with that type of vodka anyway.
"Ah, that I first had in Russia a number of years ago," He inspected the empty bottle in his hands before placing it back into his pocket, "It's the only Vodka I'll drink now."
He glanced over at the bottle in her hands. He wasn't too thrilled about losing a bottle of that stuff. Hey, it was pretty damn expensive! But sometimes you had to make a few sacrifices. It really would be for the greater good in the end. Or something like that.
"I don't usually share that with other people but... Hey, you deserve only the best."
Yes, and she'd be getting the best. Whether she was conscious for it or not.
He licked his lips in anticipation at the very thought of it. All he had left to do right now was wait. Wait for that moment. It shouldn't be too long as he was quite skilled at measuring out the proper doses by now. It had to be high enough so that she'd feel something and he wouldn't be forced to wait for long, yet low enough so that he wouldn't end up killing her by accident. Once they were dead they ceased to be as much fun.
