Late afternoon and Ailyth was just bounding out from behind a cluster of trees on the edge of the meadow. She had spent the majority of the day exploring the woods; the same woods she had explored countless times since she got to this school, but hey, she wanted to make friends with every last, adorable animal in those woods. And it had been quite a successful day, as there were a lot of friendly squirrels and rabbits out to talk to.
However, now it was getting late and she knew from experience not to stay out after dark. Bad things happened after dark. Besides, she never could see too well at night, and if she waited much longer then she'd end up having to find her way all the way back to the school in pitch black conditions. So as sad as it was, she was forced to leave her new friends to go hopping on back to the school.
Getting closer to the school, she decided to replace her skin and continued to run on her human feet. However, after stumbling and nearly falling a number of times she decided to give walking a try instead. She didn't really like walking in this form. It was slow and boring, but most people seemed to do this so she figured she'd have to as well. Taking her jacket off and tying it around her waist, she half-walked, half-skipped back up toward the academy.

Coyle appeared before the girl - the next one on his list. Now let's see... This one's name is Aliyth right? Right. A furry little bunny critter. Piece of cake! Coyle wouldn't even fight her like he had to do with that first one. Bicornes... They think they're so tough. All the higher races do. Luckily, this Aliyth looked like the kind to easily topple under pressure.
What was she going to do, kick him with her little bunny legs?
So, with all this established, Coyle set out on his second mission.
"Hey bunny! Wanna come with the strange man to an undisclosed location? I have candy!"

Ailyth was looking across the plains, trying to see if she could find another adorable animal that might help to guide her when someone suddenly appeared right in front of her, causing her to jump back in surprise as she nearly ran into them. Weird, she hadn't seen anyone here just a minute ago. And it wasn't even that dark yet, so it's not like they could have just sneaked up on her.
It was just a little suspicious, but Ailyth had never been very perceptive. Although she had gotten much better about that in recent months. It used to be that she had always tried to see the good in people first, but now whenever she met someone there was always a little twinge of doubt in the back of her mind. She tried to be more careful now. This had been happening ever since coming here, actually. Weird coincidence.
And right now her amazing, new ability of perception told her that maybe this was one of those not-so-nice people.
"Um... No thanks. I'm fine."
Keeping her eyes on him, she took a few, slow steps back and attempted to walk around him. Maybe if she just acted calm and uninterested he'd leave her alone?

Stepping quickly to intercept, Coyle decided that now was a good time to be a teensy bit more direct with his kidnapping skills.
So saying, he simply grabbed old of little Aliyth and did what he did best.
He teleported her.
Smiling to himself and at the empty space in front of him, Coyle knew the taste of victory.... and then the sting of boredom.
This was boring. Next time he promissed himself a bit more on the side of imagination. It was the least he could do for himself after such a... pointless and boring kidnapping.
Sighing, Coyle just had to mutter something to himself.
"Well that was a waste..."

Having spent most of the day engaging in one of her favorite pastimes, prowling around the school skulking, Illia had finally made it out of the school and into the meadow. She had no intention of going back to the castle tonight, but rather she just felt like being on her own in the woods or near the lake or something.
Well, that was the plan, but since when did things ever go according to plan.
Nearing the meadow she had stopped by a tree just on the edge of it when she noticed two others off near the middle of the meadow. They both looked familiar, but she still didn't chance getting closer to them. She had a few reasons for this, one being that she didn't feel like having any sort of human contact at all tonight, no matter how minimal, and the other being that there seemed to be something... Off about them.
She watched them for a little while, though she couldn't hear what they were saying. Then the guy suddenly grabbed the girl and she disappeared. Now that caught her attention as she watched him, wondering what had just happened. That girl didn't look like she had been expecting that. What, was it like a kidnapping?
As the thought crossed her mind, so did another. Perhaps she should go back to the school tonight. So she turned to leave, stepping on a branch as she did so. Wincing, she only hoped that he hadn't heard as she quickly began to walk back toward the castle.

Coyle was still sitting there sorrowing himself with the hastiness of his capture and the bore that it would provide for many hours to come, when he heard a noise. It was a kind of crinckly snapping noise that came from a tree twig or something.
Well, if that wasn't the epitome of "someone's watching you" then he didn't know what was...
Whirling around, Coyle reacted really without thinking at all; and it just so happened that his first inclination was to poof himself right in front of this girl too.
Hmm. Must be on a poofing spree today?
"Hey! What! Where?! You aren't supposed to be here!"
There was a little tremor of panic that ran up Coyle's spine, then a nice, calm, easy solution set in.
He had an idea...

She just knew that it wouldn't have been that easy to get away. When was anything ever really easy for her? By now she already knew that whatever could go wrong would. So she didn't flinch as he appeared in front of her, she merely let out an exasperated sigh. She was tired of this; tired of life in general. But that didn't mean that she was ready to dies just yet either.
Without looking at him, she stepped to the side. For some reason, she felt just a little scared here. She had dealt with so much in her life and yet this scared her. Whatever this was it gave her a rather ominous feeling. Well, best not to think about it. Best to just leave.
"Oh? Well, I was just leaving, so..."
Without finishing her sentence, she turned to walk away, quickening her pace and watching him out of the corner of her eye. After all, she didn't want to end up like that girl. When she'd gotten several feet or so away, she broke out into a sprint. Kind of a stupid thing to do, since he could just teleport, but maybe she was even faster than that. All she could do was try. Just keep running and don't look back.

Regaining just a tad of his composure, Coyle tried to find out an appropriate way to do this...
Not that there was any appropriate way to kill someone, but hey, you had to be careful didn't you? Someone else might be watching, and then where would that get him? Actually... Coyle scanned the area, checking out all the planes having to do with people he knew around here, and reaching out with his mind as far as possible. Nothing got a sentient ping except the girl, and she was getting farther away.
Okay. Goody. No one around this time for real, and now he had a reason! Yes... It had been a while... He hadn't killed someone since last year...
Well! It wasn't like he went looking for people to kill! He wasn't like that. Coyle never got a kind of sick perverted pleasure from the death of another creature, he just wanted to have fun, and whatever it took to accomplish those goals, he would most likely stoop to them. Now, even he was farsighted enough to realize that if you kill people then they are gone and dead and you can't have fun anymore. If they're still alive well... Then there's still something for the cat to play with.
After all this long and boring thinking, Coyle noticed that the girl had been running away. She'd gotten pretty far too... Hm. Oh well. Not like he was going to run the distance. He'd rather just... poof!
And there he was. In front of her again.
"Tell ya what," Coyle said, a little more excited than he should be at the moment, "You can scream all you want, and no one will hear you. I, personally, don't like too much screaming. Hurts my ears, ya see. So if you don't make a whole lot of noise then I'd consider it a personal favor..."

She let out a sudden, unintentional whimper as he appeared in front of her again, however it soon turned into a growl. She stepped back, glaring at him, trying to come up with a suitable solution out of this. While she had nothing against fighting, she typically only fought when she knew she could win. When there was no hope of that, she would run. But what should she do now?
Illia looked past him, to the school. It was so tantalizingly close. Maybe she'd be able to make a run for it? Oh, but he could teleport. He'd probably catch her again before she even made it ten feet. Damn it, why did this have to happen to her? Why did she have to be so weak? If only she could teleport like him...
No! Why would she pick now to feel sorry for herself. She deserved to die if she really was that pathetic. She wouldn't go down like that. This guy wasn't about to destroy her.
"Damn you... Just move out of my way," She growled, unwavering.
Then she decided to seize whatever opportunity she had and made to dodge around him. Of course she wasn't about to try to stay and fight him. Even she knew that she couldn't win. Her best chances for survival were to run, so that was what she was going to do.

As fun as all this posturing was, it was lost on the girl. She just seemed to be thinking one thing: escape. Which, by the way, wasn't going to happen. She knew that. He knew that, but what was the point in all if it if she didn't just accept it and stop running. He hated runners! They were all so "oh I can make it!"
He could teleport... No, no they could not make it.
Sighing to himself, he decided today was just not his day. First he botched the kidnap by making it too easy, then he gets noticed doing it, then he gets noticed doing it by a runner. Not his day...
Coyle decided then, to just skip through all the talk of "don't run I can teleport" and simply end this.
He did have capturing to do... and it wasn't getting done by him fooling around. And he never though he'd say that before...
Damn... He needed a drink and to just chill. He'd do the rest of this crap kidnapping later.
Moving to intercept that dodge of hers, Coyle decided on an easy death. Phasing just slightly, he punched his hand through her chest until he got to the squishy parts. Specifically the heart. Making just the lining of his hand shift back, he pulled his fingers into a fist around the squishy organ. It was kind of nasty to feel it beating, but hey there wasn't much easier a way to kill someone.
Waiting with a grimace until the squishy muscle stopped beating, Coyle then leisurely pulled his hand out of phase again and out of her chest. He was all sticky with blood now.... ew. Wiping it on the grass next to the body, he cursed a bit to himself.
He needed a drink... Dammit... Today sucked. He couldn't even kill people happily.
