Yes, he really is that dark and scary. Well, either that, or he just likes to think that way. Seeing as Axel is not at ALL personable nor popular, he couldn't care less about how bloodthirsty or demonic he looks to others. He almost always has dark circles around his eyes, perhaps not as exaggerated as in the particularly dark picture, but they're there, usually from exhaustion or a hangover. His eyes are a clear shade of red, and they have the capability to almost glow when he loses his temper(which is often), something that makes almost anyone back off.
Axel's hair is choppy, uneven, generally disheveled, and a deep black. His skin, however, is not pale, nor is it purple-ish. (XD) Again, anything to maximize the "demon-possessed" look. It is in reality a dark tan, not so much that he looks Spanish, but dark enough that one can realize he has spent many an hour in the outside world. Probably his most distinct feature is a gnarled, thick scar marring the bottom half of his face from his right cheek down to the left side of his chin. He has never told anyone of its origin, except obviously the *bleeping* *bleep* that gave it to him, as he would say. Overall, his facial features are about average; nothing about him is exceptionally handsome or beautiful, except perhaps his eyes, but that is a matter of opinion entirely.

Axel is a powerful, muscular three-headed serpent with veiny wings hidden within his massive back as to not injure them when he is not flying. The top of his...heads... as well as his back and the top of his tail are a metallic, steel grey that glints brightly in the moonlight, as well as in the light of his flames. His underside is slightly lighter. With a huge tail measuring about seven feet on it own, he enjoys using it to thrash his enemies around seeing as it's extremely maneuverable, unlike his relative the dragon, who can only move it easily in set directions. Loser.
He has complete control over his two other craniums.. most of the time. They don't have split personalities persay, but one is the mouth of his thoughts, the other his always battling conscience. It's very difficult for him to keep his thoughts private when in his true form, seeing if they're strong enough, his other head will go off in a ramble, voicing all that he's thinking. And then, of course, his conscience is always trying to make him "do good," which is the least of his desires. It's quite entertaining to watch him argue with himself, that is, until all three of those heads come after you with fire bursting from their tongues.
Trigger: His explosive anger. Or if he's feeling rather pugnacious, he may just "forget" to keep his skin on.
Personality: Some call Axel vicious, angsty, bitter, huffy, but in reality... Actually, that is reality. Unless you really, REALLY try hard to break his metal-hard thick shell, there is no chance that he will ever stop acting like an irritable hothead towards you. It's just the way he is. He believes the world is full of hypocrites and liars, which he may just be right about that. Anything considered "good" or "pure" has to have some kind of catch to it, right? Nothing is perfect because nobody is perfect. Axel suffers from bits of immense depression, which he attempts to cure by drowning his sorrows. He does not drink for "fun;" what fun is it when you can't remember anything afterwards? He is haunted by his own fears and memories, and the only route of escape is to become completely oblivious to everything.
Axel does, however, have a sympathetic streak. He will not kill mercilessly, nor does he ever entertain himself with "hunting." Regardless of his opinions of the world, Axel views life as a precious thing, seeing as no one has any clue as to what's to come. He hopes that one day he'll be able to turn his around, but he doesn't see it happening any time soon. Axel may seem like a bit of a deadbeat, and in some ways, he just might be; but he's not lacking in passion. His soul comes out through his music. It's the only escape he has; it's probably one of the most important things in his life. Why? No one can ever take it away from him. Anything material is too easy of a target.
