Moss had to admit, he was feeling distinctly unfabulous. He hadn't had the best of days, no he hadn't, and he needed to find someplace that wasn't on school grounds, someplace he could go that could distract him for an hour or two. Someplace where he was bound to find some pretty young thang to talk to, see if he couldn't get a girlfriend (or a boyfriend, he wasn't picky) for a while.
So even as he felt this way, he came across this theater, with soft seats and a large screen, concession stand holding the fake smile from American toys like Barbie and Bratz. They were creepy, and the young female humans, were twice as creepy for finding those creepy things beautiful.
But he snapped back into the game as he stood at the concession stand, ordering popcorn and tickets for whatever movie this was, and maybe he could sneak into the back row amongst the making-out teenagers and relax, let his skin slide a little.
{Sorry for the sucky post... I'm really out of it....}

One thing was absolutely certain: there was nothing to do in this school. Not even at the lake, where she was previously able to find some entertainment had now become nothing more than a hot spot for trouble. There were far too many people there nowadays. And apparently, whatever interesting, remote places were around this school attracted some sort of group of people to it. That much was inevitable. Illia had been prepared to give up and just go back to her room - to just stare at a damn wall, what did it matter? - when she thought of the cinema.
Movies were supposed to be entertaining, right?
With that thought in mind, she slipped into a seat in the back row, realizing that she wasn't even sure what movie this was. At this point, she also realized that she might not be watching the movie at all. After she had caught the first few previews, her mind began to drift. Perhaps she was just going to spend her time lost in her own thoughts tonight.
Well, that might prove to be a nice change of pace, were her thoughts as she let her head fall onto her hand. Brushing her long, chestnut hair out of her face with her other hand, she settled in for a night of thinking.

Moss stared at the screen blankly through the previews and all the scenes asking people to turn off their cell phones and not to talk during the movie. Although the screen implored it every couple seconds before the movie started, it was almost never adhered to. They simply took it as one of the rules you're meant to break and do as they please.
The movie hadn't even stared and he was already stuffing his mouth full of overpriced, over-buttered popcorn. It may be slippery, but damn it was good. He was so hungry, he didn't realize he was hungry, if such a thing made sense. He inhaled, and an odd smell overtook him.
It didn't smell like a human--the entire theater smelled like human, so he wouldn't be able to pull a single human out from the rest. This smell was something different--something definitely not human. He sniffed a couple times, turning his head until he got a lock on the scent.
A beautiful girl had sidled into the theater while he wasn't looking. She wasn't far away--only a seat stood between them actually. She had bright green eyes and tumbling brown locks; smooth skin too. 'She must go to the school too; if she isn't human.'
A lecherous grin snaked its way onto Knoei's face. A girl from his school, a hot one at that, meeting him at the movie theater? It was almost a date... except for the fact that he didn't have the slightest idea who this girl was. There was so huge a mosh-posh of scents at the school, he couldn't place who was who and what. Her face rang a sort of a bell.
He leaned over and whispered to her. He wasn't shy, and why should he be? "Excuse me miss, but you wouldn't happen to go to the school near here, would you?" His voice came out as a low, seductive purr, but since he had been doing this for a while, that just became the way he spoke to people: male, female, or something else.

After what seemed like an eternity, the movie finally appeared to be starting. Not that Illia would have noticed either way. If one were to gaze at her watching the screen so intently, they might be led to believe that she was really into the movie. In actuality, she couldn't care less. Everything had been obscured by a veil of her own thoughts. And she had quite a number of thoughts too. It could easily fill 2 hours.
However, apparently she wouldn't get the chance as she soon heard a low noise beside her. Returning from the depths of her mind, she looked over to find the source if the noise in a boy. He looked to be roughly about her age and he was watching her through intense, gray eyes. He was also rather cute. Always a plus, no matter the situation.
"Yes... I would," She replied with a smile, "Do you have any particular reason for asking?"
Truthfully, it was a bit of an odd question. By his scent, she could already tell that he was a nonhuman, and he could probably tell the same from her. So then why bother to ask a question when you are already fairly certain of the answer? Perhaps he was just trying to make small talk. Well, who wouldn't want to talk to her?

Moss had to shrug at the question. "No real reason for asking. It's just that it seems odd that two people from the same school came to the same movie." He lifted up his legs and rested them on the empty seat in front of him, tossing some more of the overpriced and highly satisfying popped corn into his mouth and chewing slowly. He swallowed as the movie began.
"Children of Night," appeared on the screen. Now that he thought about it, wasn't this rated R, and him being 16, was not allowed to be in here watching it? Oversight he guessed.
"I feel like I've seen you around school before. Couldn't place you face to a scent or a name." Moss thought he should make that clear. He didn't stalk people and certainly wasn't in to severely long term relationships, or at least not highly committed ones. All he knew was that she was somehow familiar to him. Maybe she was that girl that sat alone in the Dining hall.
He messed his already unruly locks. The movie was boring at first, but sure did get interesting. Those stupid girls, going swimming in the a Crypt full of dead bodies... ew, were those lungs? Holy crap, that's BLOOD gushing from her neck! That's what you get for wearing a crucifix while swimming, you moron!
A smile was fixed on his face. A horror flick it may be by people sure knew how to make satisfying ones in 1991!

"I see..." She responded with a nod.
Leaning back, she examined the bot more closely. He didn't seem familiar... Although Illia never really bothered to pay much attention to her fellow students. It just didn't seem important to get to know more of them, and so she pretty much ignored them, though it was never meant to be taken as a superiority complex. Although that was really what it was. Heck, he could even be in one of her classes for all she knew. But then again...
"Really? I think I would have remembered you..."
As she let her mind drift away, her eyes were turned back to the movie. What the hell was this? Whatever it was she didn't like it. It was a horror movie. Her least favorite genre. After all, horror movies were never really scary. They were just gross.
With an annoyed growl, she turned her attention back to the boy beside her. He seemed like he would offer more entertainment than some cheesy horror flick.
"My name's Illia, by the way."

His eyes were affixed to the screen. This may well be the beginning of a whole new addiction--one that was neither women nor BDSM, one that was unrelated to love or lust at all. Gross things were gross, but gross things that tried to be scary were pathetically entertaining. He smothered his giggles. These people had no grasp of terror. They should have seen that Dragon he had been dating after he'd broken up with her. THAT was terrifying. This? Not so much.
He turned his head and nodded respectfully, wiping his mouth free of the melted butter that had somehow gotten on his lips and caused the pinkish muscles to shine unnaturally.
"Knoei Titan. Everyone just calls me Moss. You can call me Moss. Or Knoei. Or Titan. Whichever rolls off the tongue."
He chucked lightly and took another handful of popcorn. WHY was he so hungry and WHY did this stuff taste so good? They must put some kind of hormone in it or something. That's the only explanation, the ONLY one. He wasn't paying too much attention to the movie anymore. He watched the girl through his peripherals.

Illia had to chuckle at the boy's strange name. While it was true that Illia wasn't exactly a common name either, this boy's name was for more unique. The same could be said about hiss equally strange nickname, for that matter. Although she supposed it did make some sense. After all, his hair did look slightly like moss... Perhaps that's where he got it?
"Mmhm... Well, nice to meet you, Moss."
Crossing her legs and resting her head on her hand she settled on watching him instead of the movie. He had a strange was of speaking. For some reason, it sounded like everything he said was a joke. However, Illia failed to see the humor.
Ah, well that didn't matter much, she supposed. As long as he continued to giver her attention... Well, nothing else mattered much. Which shouldn't be a difficult think for him. After all, she was far better than this terrible movie. Plenty of people would rather simply stare at her then waste their time some other way. She was certain of that.
Flipping her hair back in an alluring fashion, she returned some of her attention to the movie screen. However, the disgusting scenes that she was lucky enough to see made her turn her head back almost immediately. With a sigh, she instead looked down at the rings glistening upon her fingers, watching them shimmer in the dim light.

Pretty, Moss surmised, but kind of conceited in his opinion. He gave a gentle yawn and for much of the time merely glanced at her from his peripherals. He was beginning to feel kind of sleepy, so might ditch the movie and head back to his dorm to catch some Zs. But he had some business to take care of here, first.
"Quite the boring movie, right? Not that you seem to be watching it." Moss hated to admit it, but he loved hearing himself talk. Did that sexually ambiguous line just come from his mouth? Ohohohoho, how dirty.
He crumpled up the bag of popcorn he had amused himself with during the movie and wiped his mouth again, clearing away the shiny oil that had accumulated there. He looked her up and down once, twice, thrice, and decided that she sort of made up for her conceitedness with her bod-day.
But then again, she didn't really seem like his cup of tea. The more he breathed her in, the more he recognized the mix-mash of four different animal scents. She was a Chimera, and Chimeras, in his opinion were weird creatures, and sometimes a little disappointing in the area he liked most.
A huge yawn ripped through him. Damn he was getting tired... he blinked slowly, and his grey eyes turned bright red and his hands grew a bit, before he realized his skin was failing and he woke himself up. He should get back to campus soon. But this pretty miss was distracting him... with her boobies and whatnot...

Curiously, Illia tipped her head, trying to make sense out of his words. True... She wasn't really watching the movie... But just what was he getting at? He was rather strange... And for a moment she had to wonder if it was something about his species that was weird or if it was just him.
"Oh..?" Was her confused response.
Looking up, she began studying him again. Just what was with him? Just as this though crossed her mind, things suddenly began to make sense. Not just his last words, but everything else that he'd said. Every jokingly delivered line.
"Oh!"
After her response of shocked realization, she fell into a fit of laughter. The people just in front of her turned back slightly to give her a look of annoyance which she promptly ignored. This had gotten much too interesting for her to be bothered to put effort into petty niceties.
So that's what he had been getting at. He was one of those guys. Admittedly, Illia didn't mind. She found it rather amusing, actually. And so after a few moments, her laughter died down into a quieter chuckle.
"Well, hey, can you blame me? I mean, you're not bad to look at."
A smile played upon her lips once more. For a moment, she wondered if the other people here simply thought that she found blood and gore so freakin' hilarious.

Moss couldn't resist chuckling. She had finally understood, meaning that she wasn't slow after all, and that he wasn't that bad at blatant innuendos. He could do cuddly hidden ones and ones that just sat in front of the person, towering. His eyes twinkled mischievously. Yes, he was one of those guys, as he was called. Those guys.
He scratched his head and turned his head slightly to look at the girl--Illia. He grinned, but allowed his upper eyelids to droop, creating a very odd grin--one of perverse nature but not too much--he looked more goofy and joking than actually serious, but only because girls didn't react well to that. He had had many years to perfect his routine--you couldn't be BORN with a purr that fabulous! It took years of sweat and tears!
"Well, thank you! You are quite the piece of eye candy yourself. Very beautiful." There was a certain trick to eye candy though--you could only enjoy it if you take it out of the wrapper.

Illia couldn't help but continue chuckling at Moss' response. Such a dirty mind he had. Illia had met guys like him before, oh yes. Each proved to be rather enjoyable. True, that never lasted for very long, but it was always fun for awhile.
She leaned closer to him, resting her head on both of her hands now. Grinning widely, she watched her reflection in his half-closed eyes.
"Why thank you! I guess we both have pretty good tastes, hm?"
She chuckled lightly at her words. Here she thought she'd be stuck watching a boring movie or going through the archives of her mind. And yet here she was, having one heck of a time. And to think that so far all of her enjoyment was coming from listening to him speak.
Well, he was sort of a rarity here. Come to think of it, she hadn't met any of those guys since she got here. Well, when you went to a school as upscale at this place, there must be some sort of unspoken moral code that you were expected to follow. Not that it mattered much to Illia. Or Moss, clearly.

Moss waggled his eyebrows and chuckled. He was having a good time, as odd as it was. it wasn't too odd, because after all, he had expected to come here and meet up with someone he could talk to. He just never expected that it'd be someone so understanding of his language. The only way someone could be as experienced as this little miss was was to have gone around the block with a few of his kind.
It wasn't impossible. He spoke for every male (and some females) in his line of work, and they probably wouldn't pass up something like this. This sort of opportunity.
He gave his chin a gentle rub, and glanced at the screen to catch a nice few of the mouth of a vampire about to chomp down on his victim. It was an interesting sight--long sharp teeth, already slightly stained from other bitings, were in full view to the audience. A couple human girls clasped firmly to their male dates. Even though he couldn't see their faces, he could smell the testosterone beginning to pump through them faster and faster--they all wanted the same thing.
He turned his attention back to Illia. Rather than say something immediately, he winked first and laughed, all in good nature. A couple of the guys he had noticed before turned to look at him, their girlfriends turning too. Oh, that was a bad idea. Moss had a way with women. He did.
"Yes... we both have the best tastes. Intriguing, isn't it?" Knoei loved the way he spoke to her. More snobby girls would have slapped him by now and other types would have left him sitting there alone. But this one was doing neither. In fact, this one was playing his game, and playing it well.
But in all due respect, she wasn't nearly as good as he was. He thought that there was no one else who dared tango with him on his own dance floor, but this mademoiselle decided to try it. This upscale place... the girls played along, but none of them could play the game. This one could do both. It was.... intriguing.

Illia flashed him another smile, batting her eyelashes playfully. Strangely, this was the most enjoyable conversation that she'd had in a long time. Aside from the ones which ended in her receiving those pretty little additions to her jewelry collection, of course.
Perhaps it was simply the way he spoke to her. Almost everyone else at this school was either trying so hard to sound intelligent and refined or they were jerks. Yes, there was very little middle ground here. But now this guy... This was just who he was. And she liked it. She'd played this game before, but Moss was actually good at it. Better than her, even. Now that was impressive.
Though she had to wonder about these "skills" of his. He must have taken more than one slap in the face in his time. Well, hey, no pain, no gain, right? Oh, yes... That perfectly applied here.
"Mm, it is intriguing... Amusing, really."
Brushing a stray lock of hair out of her face, she watched him through intense, green eyes. She could tell from the suspenseful music playing onscreen and the horrified gasps from some of the girls that a particularly gruesome part of the movie was playing out. Of course, she didn't look up at the screen. What was the point? To totally gross herself out? She'd pass. Instead, she focused on watching the boy next to her, blinking slowly and deliberately.

He didn't regret coming here. Why should he? He had gorged himself on delicious if overpriced buttery corn products, and he had met the most lovely player of his favorite game. They were playing a game of chess, deep and insightful, and every move they made had to be done carefully less they find themselves ensnared in the other's trap. Sometimes is was easier to simply avoid the trap than to try and force one's way out of it-in fact, he was certain that that was almost always the case.
With a small smile he looked at Illia. What to do, what to do. Should he just pass the meeting off as a nothingness? Well, he immediately striked that one off his list. If he ever passed her in the halls again, is would take every ounce of his self control not to wink at her. And at this moment, it was taking all of his self control not to just say, "You're hot. Mate with me."
The other one was to see if he could take this one as a temporary toy. HM. That one was rather appealing, as he watched her play the role of one innocent belle, blinking slowly and advertising her intense green eyes and amazing eyelashes. Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Mabelline. That silly human commercial. It's obvious that she couldn't be BORN with lashes that beautiful, just like how one couldn't be born with the amazing skills Moss demonstrated. Or maybe she was born with it. He didn't know for sure; Chimera were weird. "Oh, yes.... so amusing... well, not the most amusing--I've seen more amuzing things..." Moss swallowed gently, man, he thirsty--that buttery corn really got a guy thirsty. He wondered if he could get away with sneaking to the concession stand with lovely and not coming back, ending up going back to the campus.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
