Materializing right behind the hotel, Ivan quickly slipped in through the back entrance. He chose the back, because there was never anyone out walking back here and it looked far less suspicious than appearing right in front of the place and waltzing in through the front door, unable to stop any other creature from following him right to their hideout.
These past few weeks had been quite busy for him. Since he had put the plan into action, there had been much to do to ensure its success. People to see, meetings to attend, and the like. This was why having allies was particularly helpful to him now. They went along with the actual plan while he worked behind the scenes.
Of course, because he wasn't here that often anymore, he couldn't be certain how the task was going. All he could do was trust that his comrades were working to the best of their capabilities. There really shouldn't be anything to worry about, but you never know. One could never rule out the fact that a double agent might be working amongst them, for example.
Today, thankfully, he had managed to return rather early to find the plan still more or less intact. That was good. And once he was certain that the mission was proceeding just fine, his thoughts immediately moved on to something that was nearly as important to him.
As he turned down their hallway he wondered if Chaos was still in the building. She had said that she was going to go after that nekomata today, though after having checked the room, he noticed that she hadn't captured him yet. Perhaps she'd had trouble locating him. Or perhaps she hadn't even attempted it yet. Whatever the reason was, he hoped that she was in the hotel now, at least. It had been hours since he'd seen her, after all, and the mental pictures he'd been looking at all day he knew weren't doing her justice.

Chaos had gone out not long after Ivan left, and even though she combed the entire school from top to bottom and all surrounding grounds, she'd been unable to locate the Nekomata, and she now was in the kitchen examining the contents of the cabinents and fridge. She looked everything over with a critical eye, wondering what she should make. Mortal food didn't fill the succubus hunger within her, but there was a superficial hunger, one that satisfied the organ in her middle called a stomach.
She shook a box of what she thought was cereal, but decided that her superficial hunger wasn't what needed to be satisfied. She walked to her dresser and changed to another, equally revealing outfit, sliding her room key somewhere safe. With that she turned off everything and walked out of the room, closing the door behind her. However, as she began to walk off towards the entrance, she noticed Ivan walking down the hallway.
The Succubu waved at him. "Hey Ivan! You're back early." She stated nonchalantly. "How was the trip?"

When he saw Chaos, Ivan gave her a genuine smile before sauntering over to her. He leaned against the wall, giving her a once-over. He had been right, no mere thought of her could compare to the actual thing.
He nodded when she stated that he had gotten back rather early and chuckled a bit as she asked him the question that she asked nearly every day. And always received the same answer to, at that.
"It went very well... Thank you."
With that, silence ensued as he just continued to stare at her, smiling all the while. It was taking a bit of self control to keep himself from grabbing her and pulling her into another fierce kiss, though the urges he felt weren't nearly as bad as they were before. Before last night, that is.
With a sigh, he glanced at her revealing outfit. It was nothing new, after all, most of the outfits he had seen her in over his months spent watching her were just as skimpy. Although it did make him wonder where she was going at this moment. Perhaps she was going to attempt to locate that Nekomata once more?
"So where are you off to, dear?"

The trips always go very well. Nothing ever went wrong, so why did she ask everyday? It's because she kept waiting for the one day something would change, when something went wrong during a trip. But so far, even after asking for months, she'd not yet found that day, but she held on to the hope that maybe it would be tomorrow or the day after that, which is why she never stopped asking.
Silence fell between them and she simply stood, taking in his facial features for the first time. He was handome. He looked... Uhm... she couldn't think of the right word. It had something to do with manliness and strength. Perhaps it was rugged. That might be it.
Then he asked where she was going, to which she gave a soft shrug. "Drinks... Feeding.... same old, same old."
She smiled and brushed a bang from out of her face. "I'll be back, don't worry."

Still smiling, Ivan continued to watch Chaos contentedly, enjoying the nice feeling he felt whenever their eyes met. Though he was determined to not act as impulsively as he had last night that didn't mean that he couldn't still enjoy her companionship.
Then, as she explained where she was going, one word stuck out above the others for him. Feeding. Of course he knew what feeding meant for her. He'd even seen the act several times. At that thought, his smile faded, some of the color draining from his face along with it.
He only nodded slowly, though he couldn't escape that nagging feeling. He didn't want her to go. Though that was how she got her energy, yes? And yet, why should it matter to him? That was just the type of creature she was. She was a succubus. The only thing that drove her was her need to feed. Nothing more.
Nodding stiffly, he muttered a word or two of compliance before looking away. She needed her energy to carry on. Who was he to stop her? Why should he stop her? And yet...
"Now what of the Nekomata?" He asked, looking toward the wall, "I don't mean to sound as if I'm rushing you, but we do have a schedule to keep."

A schedule? Since when?
"Ah, but even though I never found to nekomata, I came across some interesting information. He can sometimes be found at the lake, at night. And I plan to go there right after my feeding so I'll have as much energy as possible at my disposal to catch him." She said this with a smile on her face, because each word was true. She'd asked around and used to Will Manipulation to get information out of one of the creature's supposed friends, who told her the information quite compliantly. She didn't even have to use anything other than her eyes.
With a soft, she added, "I also learned that his special ability is mind reading, so the lake isn't an uphand for him." She didn't add that it would be a horrible downside to her though, being that she can't swim, but she intended to stay away from the water. She would fight from the land or from the air, and wouldn't let herself even get close to the surface of the water if she could help it.
"Don't worry."

He didn't look back as she spoke. He didn't need to. He already understood what she was saying and he didn't need to see the carefree smile she had on her face as she said it.
So she didn't believe him about the 'schedule'. What's more, she seemed to have an answer for every one of his concerns without him having to say anything. Wasn't that nice. He had nothing to worry about.
Although what she did with her free time should be of no concern to him. She was what she was, after all. Did he want that to change? What difference did it make to him? All that mattered to him was that she carry out her missions flawlessly and without question; anything beyond that, he had no interest in. It wasn't as if he wanted anything more from her. It wasn't as if he wished that he had been more than just an unexpected meal for her.
Turning toward her suddenly, he forced a smile, though it wasn't nearly as kind as it had been previously.
"Yes. Yes of course. Do whatever you like."
After giving her the short response, he turned and strode halfway down the hall before stopping and turning back slightly, muttering something that sounded like "Have fun." After that, he proceeded to walk away, without another backwards glance.

Chaos continued to smile because she didn't realize that she was hurting him. She did know that he liked her more the just a passing glance, but she didn't think it went very far beyond that, and even if it did she assumed he understood that this had nothing to do with what had happened last night. The funny thing was, she could choose when she wanted to feed. So even if she had sex with Ivan it didn't necessarily mean she'd fed from him.
In truth she hadn't fed from him, assuming that he'd need all of his energy himself to go on the trips that never went wrong.
When he turned back to her, she barely heard what he said. She could tell by his voice and face that she was about to do something he didn't like or approve of. The smile on his face wasn't a genuine smile. It was robotic, probably one to give the guise of understanding and uncaring.
Ivan... really didn't know, did he?
The succubus watched him walk away for a few steps and said, loud enough that she knew he'd hear but not much over that. "If it makes you feel any better, Ivan, I didn't feed from you."
Having said that, she turned and continued walking towards the entrance, wondering about the state the plan (or whatever this was) would be in once she returned.

When she spoke again, he slowed down a bit, tipping his head slightly. However, he didn't completely stop walking, nor did he turn around to look at her. He didn't make any motion in response at all until he heard her footsteps disappearing into the distance.
At that point, he stopped in the middle of the hall, staring down at the floor. He found that he was completely dumbfounded by her actions and words; by her in general, really. He never really managed to understand her, just as he never really managed to understand why he was so interested in her. She was only a Succubus, after all. A rare find, though not unheard of. Yes, she was pretty and yes, he did like her... But he'd killed people that he liked much better before.
He turned, looking toward the entrance with a sigh. No, he wasn't about to stop her. She needed that to survive, of course. And yet, why was it that thinking about it... Thinking about her in the arms of another man... Why did it make him feel sick?
A moment of silence and several deep breaths and Ivan once again appeared as calm as usual. He wouldn't stop her, but he also didn't feel comfortable merely sitting here and waiting for her to return.
His skin faded away, leaving behind a cat-like creature that could barely fit in the now narrow hall. He then scaled the wall in one, easy bound, phasing through the roof and taking to the skies. If he stayed high enough, she wouldn't notice him. He hadn't survived all those years in the SVR through pure luck after all.

It took very little navigation for her to find herself out in the cold Washington air, the slight winds tossing around her hair and miniskirt, but she didn't feel worried about either. She walked through the cold night air unabashed, drawing both curious and lustful glances from males that happened to be standing around near the hotel. She gave them soft smiles but continued on her way. They didn't have much energy.
As she walked with an all-natural swish in her hips, she let her thoughts wander to Ivan. He seemed quite upset with her, though she honestly couldn't think why. She let out a soft sigh, which was stolen by as wind that decided to blow. Her eyes looked up as she came to the cabaret.
Her time spent there was short, maybe only half an hour, before she walked out with a male who seemed not much over twenty, his arm draped fondly around her waist. They laughed and talked like they were familiar with each other before coming upon his apartment.
Feeling rejeuvenated, she watched him sleep before growing rather greedy. She placed her lips against his and breathed in deeply, sucking out some of his soul and much of his remaining energy. He truly was delicious. She wanted to make a point to return to him again. Even though he was human, he was so young... energetic... and delicious. She made her way out of his place and out of the general building towards the lake.

As soon as he was sure that Chaos was gone, he phased completely through the roof, his human skin replaced, landing noiselessly on the floor. His face betrayed no emotion as he stood at the foot of the bed, evaluating his target. His cold and distant demeanor made it seem as though he were involved in another government mission rather than one for his own personal gain.
Although, what did he hope to gain from this? Mere months ago he wouldn't have dreamed of doing anything like this: jeopardizing the sake of a mission for something so unimportant. However, now instead he was looking for the tiniest of loopholes to get away with whatever he wanted. He had been told to try not to kill anyone - kidnapped victim or otherwise - until the time had come to employ that phase of the plan. Well, he had tried, and he would have left this boy alone if he'd had the good sense to keep away from Chaos.
Walking around the bed, he removed the switchblade from his pocket, silently sliding the blade out. Without a moments hesitation, the knife slashed across his throat in one, fluid motion. With that, Ivan stepped back as the blood began to pour out, the boy unable to move or speak, only making a hoarse, gurgling sound.
Moving away, he took a piece of cloth and wiped the blade clean before returning the knife to his pocket and carelessly tossing the cloth on the floor. He knew he wouldn't be suspected in the least. If they ever found the body, that is. Even if someone did care enough about the boy to actually come looking for him, Ivan had no connection to the nameless creature.
Shedding his skin once more, he escaped through the ceiling. Once he was safely in the skies again, and still taking care not to be seen, he located Chaos and glided after her.
