Blue-purple eyes searched the area, narrowed and calculating. Autry stood in a heavy fog, barely able to see a few feet infront of herself. The air was thick with the smell of rotting corpses, and the eerie silence echoed around the kitsune. As far as she could tell, it was dark, it was dreary, and she was lost.
Something definitely wasn't right.
Autry glanced down at the map in her hands and sighed. She couldn't even follow a simple map right! Maybe she had been holding the map upside down the whole time? Or side ways? She shook her head. The one place that could possibly help you with your mad illusions, and you get lost. Great job, Autry. Great job, dummy, she thought to herself.
She began walking again, eyes wandering every now and then. "Hello?"She called into the fog, hoping someone could help.

How on earth had the girl gotten here of all places, to the Necropolis? She hadn't ever been in the place before as she'd been too busy sulking but she'd heard chilling rumours about the place and the inhabitants of the town. They were all vampires apparently or something like it, and they liked this place. Well, so long as they didn't sparkle...
Henry gave a little grumpy sigh to herself and continued quietly after the girl ahead, shifting her own luggage into a better position in her arms before breaking into a jog. She'd had to argue with herslef over whether to help the girl or not, like she did whenever she had to help anyone. Eventually she'd decided on going after her but she was still sullen from losing an argument to herself, which was stupid really and she knew it as she'd also won.
Her signature frown was firmly welded onto her forehead as she approached the girl from behind. Not that that was the girl's fault. It had been there already. She stopped a few yards from the girl, who was, to her surprise and delight, even shorter than her even if it was only by a couple of inches.
"Hey!" she called out in a whispered shout. "Hey! The school's this way. Follow me."
Her words were concise and she didn't bother asking the girl's name. She just wanted to get to the school and dump her stuff in her dorm. To her this was just a diversion. Her antisocial personality came across in her behaviour and appearance. Plain dark jeans, a plain grey shirt and jacket, boyish shoes, a short boyish hairstyle and her stance all gave her the appearance of a boy, especially in this fog. She would've had her hands in her pockets if she hadn't have been carrying things.
She stood still and silent for a few moments, long enough for the blonde girl she'd followed to turn and see her. After that she abruptly headed back through the Necropolis in the direction of the school, walking at a fairly average pace, waiting to hear the girl follow her. Her scowl stayed scribbled across her face all the while.

Autry threw her map in the air in shock at the sudden voice. She spun on her heel, eyes wide. When she saw someone standing there, she relaxed just a tad bit. Okay, so secretely, she hadn't been expecting anyone to answer, so when someone actually did, it didn't quite help. Well... It's better than pure silence, The kitsune thought, picking up the map and following the person.
She internally scolded herself, feeling pretty stupid for completely getting lost having someone help her. Her blonde bangs fell over one eye as she gazed at the ground. Her footfalls were nearly silent as she kept a pace that didn't allow her to get too close to the girl infront of her and not so far that she couldn't see the person anymore.
After a while of quiet, Autry decided she probably needed to say something. "Umm..."The girl started in a whisper, her voice never really growing over that,"Thank you for helping me..."

Henry continued walking back through the maze of towering tombs around them the way they'd come, hearing the girl following. The statues around had expressions on their faces that might have been normal for a place such as this at one point but weathering over time had mutated them into grotesque gurning faces. The fog wasn't helping the mood either.
"No problem." Henry muttered when her companion spoke. There was an awkward silence again as Henry realised that the Necropolis would take quite a few minutes to get through and after that they still had to get through Colleger. They couldn't do the whole journey in silence. That was probably why the girl spoke. Also, she couldn't keep calling her The Girl, even if she forgot the name later.
"I'm Henry. I saw you taking a wrong turn so I followed you." Henry started awkwardly. "I wasn't stalking you." she added. Another little silence. "I've been at Chimera Academy before but I've just been visiting family." Henry added, feeling a need to explain why she had luggage and so might seem new but still knew the way around here.
"What's your name?" she asked gruffly, deciding not to ask about species in case she was a human. Even if she wasn't human, what if they were attacked? There'd been some rumours of weird things before, and there were some dangerous creatures at the school. It would be best to keep their cards secret until later, she'd decided. Call her paranoid, but at least she was alert.

After getting the girl's name, Henry nodded and then avoided conversation by replying in as few words as possible to whatever Autry said and not asking anything in return. At the school, Henry dropped the kitsune off, got everything she needed from the staff and ran off to her new dorm, unpacking and settling in. It was then she noticed she'd lost a set of books she'd been planning to destroy. She rolled her eyes and went to retrace her steps. Great, it was raining now...
