Reynard dodged back avoiding Le Cyll's blows. He could tell Le Cyll was just testing him. The real attack would come soon though. When it did Reynard would be ready for it.
The attack came and Reynard instantly manipulated all the light in his radios away leaving the area pitch black. Simultaneously he leapt forward to meet Le Cyll's attack with one of his own feeling the opposing Kludde's claws scrapping across his back. Luckily the darkness and Reynard's unexpected movement had meant that Le Cyll hadn't hit anything major Although the wounds definitely hurt.
Reyard attacked by using a maximum beam right at Le Cyll. This beam wouldn't merely give the Kludde some minor burns. Then he swung in his wings once more cutting in from the sides while his claws aimed for Le Cyll's head.

Le Cyll reacted immediately to the darkness around him, pinpointing Reynard's location a split second before the light dimmed then waiting, silently for this attack of his to come.
It didn't. A few seconds, and he was moving forward, wings fluttering in case-
Oh. Well that made sense then... The beam was blinding, and he momentarily stunned - in mind, of course. Instinct kicked in, and the wolf dragged himself out of the way, feeling the graze that singed at his black fur and left the skin on that side of his body burning. It had not been a direct hit at all - the wolf was very fast - but it need not be. The heat alone had caused much pain, and much more damage.
Which... in it's own special way was good. Le Cyll did not mind pain, but immobility would not do. Teeth snapping together in agony, he completed his dodge - not to far, then traced the path back towards Reynard. His eyes were still useless from the light, but he needed them not in such darkness. Instead, he let his other senses mesh over the void.
Now! What are you waiting for?!?
Le Cyll paced, somewhere in the dark, not stopping because he knew if he did not keep moving the numbing pain that latticed up his side would not drop but rise. Yes, this may be a good time... He had seen all he'd like to.
"It's dark." the simple, silent voice crooned, thick with a strangely trustworthiness. "Night... Shouldn't you be sleeping? How long has it been dark? Then light? Then dark again? Days... and still no sleep. You must be tired. So very tired."
It was done gently at first, then the waves of influence turned to a storm of manipulation. The wolf paced back and forth, not coming one inch closer to his target until he was quite sure of his mark.
"So tired... So dark and you're exhausted. Limbs of lead and uncoiled muscle... Relax. And sleep. Sleep."
And then the quick motion - the calculated distance of where he'd taken note the beam had come from. Le Cyll bared his teeth and fangs to the spot and thrashed about wildly in the dark, latching onto anything he encountered and tearing it up from the fur inward, deep down past the sinew and bone. If he felt the soft, built form of vital organs, he knew he had met his mark. This fight, one way or another, would be over soon.

Reynard felt Le Cyll jump on him and they instantly started tearing into each other as they rolled around on the ground. Reynard winced at all the cuts he was receiving but instantly tried to counterattack by attempting to bite one of Le Cyll's legs and shooting Le Cyll with a full power beam.
(Sorry this is so short and bad but I just wanted to get the dang thing posted. Just pm me if its too confusing and I'll try to sort it out)

It was a close call but... in the end, there were better ways to win a wolf pack. Fighting was not the only one, and it had taken a while, but Le Cyll understood now that he and REynard were too evenly matched.
Despite winning - which he was sure he could do - he would still need fight his subordinate through every decision. This, simply, was not something the wolf had in mind. Oh no... he had something much better planned than that. So with his few wounds and his full understanding of Reynard's strengths and weaknesses, the wolf simply stopped at the edge of the circle after dodging past Reynard's attacks... and he placed a paw outside the circle.
"You win," was the simple thing he said. Then lowering his head, he flicked his ears back, a sign of submission.
"Congratulations..."
Some plan this way comes...
And with that, the rival wolf stalked away. He would be back, and he would be respectful towards his new leader, but there was more to this defeat than met the eye.
