Emily walked deep into the place that the school called the stone garden. Her bright red hari she had in human form bouncing around her face as she walked, looking straight as though she was on a mission. As though she knew right where she was and where she wanted to go.
Stopping infront of a tall statue of a stag. It had ivy grown across its back and haunches. Some of the horns on the antlers were broken and it was withered sligthly from rain and other things. She was sure it had once been a very handsome statue. Not that it wasn't now but when it had been young and newly done it had probably been beautiful.
Takeing her eyes off the withered work of art, she looked around and made sure she was alone. She needed this time to herself for now. She had never been around so many different creatures at once and it was starting to bother her. Shedding her human skin she turned into her true form. That of a unicorn.
She shook out her long maroon mane and stomped her feet testedly. She had never needed to use her skin for this long and wasn't sure how it would have affected her manuvers for her true unicorn. She had remembered how she had once used it as a child for a long period of time and wasn't able to stand for over twenty minutes. It had scared her. She remeber how her father had hit and beaten her while she couldn't stand to get away...
She felt her eyes glaze over slightly and she shook her head again. There was no need in dwelling on the past. It was over and done with. She certainly wasn't going back though. Her long maroon tail flicked back and forth as she walked to go lay beside the statue. It had truely been a long day.
Her legs folded under her the only thing red that you could see was her mane and tail. Her long, black, lethal-looking horn parted her bangs so that they all went to the right. She propped her head on the corner of the square base that the statue of the stag statue. The last thing Emily saw before she closed her eyes was a random flower on a wall covered with ivy.
