Endless walk

Chase replied to Shades question by saying " No our parents didn't like pets." Chase still continued to pace because he was still not relaxed. He didn't know what was going on or what was going to happen he started to freak out in his head. He final stopped pacing and sat down on a stump felling water starting to form in his eyes.

Shade smiled down at the boy. "Come one lets go you need some hot chocolate and I hear the bite cafe is open all hours" Shade whistled two short peirceing bursts and Alerio flew off in search of more dinner than a couple of grubs from Shade. Shade bent over and picked up a large silver stone and tossed it towards Chase. "Here this will help you remember were this clearing is". Shade tucked her dark tangled hair back under her hat as she pulled it over her large ears. She began to walk back through the bushes to hidden valley when she remembered something. "I'm guessing you want your gun back" Shade reached into the pocket and pulled out the small gun and tossed it to Chase. "and no it didn't burn me"

Chase saw an object coming at him out of the corner of his eye so he reached out his hand and grabbed the rock with one hand close to his face he cluched it hard enough so his viens showed in his hand. He was starting to get mad at himself when she said do you wan't your gun back. Chase said "Sumothia" and then said "burn like the blood of a killer." Sumothia dropped to the group to listen to her masters command. Sumothia started to burn from a fire accuring aroung it. This was the first time Chase hated himself this bad that he wanted to kill his lung by burning his weapon that is connected to him. He would rather die than live as a killing weapon. He was through nobody loved him so why bother living. As Sumothia started to burn Chase looked at it with pain as he started to bleed from his rib and mouth. Chase was ready to die because it wouldn't mean a single thing to anybody anyway. He sat there looking at Shade with pain and sorrow in his eyes as his blood dripped down his body.

Shade stared at Chase's blood. She never liked the site of human blood but his made her hungry.....this was bad.

"No stop! You can't eat him!"

then Shade saw the gun it was red hot and surrounded by flames. The site enticed Shade to pick it up, it had never burnt her before why should it now? Impulsed by only god knows what Shade grabbed the gun. It burned her hand and melted her skin. "Aghhhh!" Shade was surprised at the heat like a child who had just seen fire for the first time and thrust his hand into the flames. Shade refused to let go of the gun and she fled. She knew the way by heart and something told her that the flame had to be put out. Shade picked her way through the bushes and brambles until she reached it. A small pond where she and David used to swim together. Shade thrust the scorching weapon into the pond only to force her melting hand to follow into the surprisingly deep ice cold pond. Shade grimaced as hot steam poured from the gun and her hand as soon as they hit the water. Then she remembered "Chase!" Shade ran back to the clearing, Marcie falling off and her cloak beginning to tear as the branches snagged it. Finally back at the clearing Shade pounced on Chase reaching for a green bottle in her pouch. Shade held Chase and poured the think green liquid down his throat hopefully making his blood thicken to prevent the oncoming tide of crimson that would surly make Shade even more hungry.

Chases eyes felt heavy and he had a hard time breathing because his right lung was burned. His heart hurt but at the same time felt good. His heart hurt because it was pounding so much but it felt good because he knew Shade cared about him. He was shocked when he stopped breathing. He then reached into his back pocket and grabbed his asthma inhaler. He had a deep breath from his inhaler and continued to breath. He hated that he had to show Shade he had asthma but he had no chose and plus f she made fun of him later he would just start a fight with her. He looked at her and took a deep breath of air with pain on his face but still he had sorrow in his eyes as he looked at her.

Shade smiled at the boy in her arms now breathing heavily while looking into her deep brown eyes. "I'm going to pretend I didn't see any of that and that your just the normal boy I thought you were to begin with" Shade pushed Chase up from behind putting him in a sitting position before bending over her hand. It was badly burnt, most of the skin had melted and burn would leave an ugly red scar but she had endured much worse. Shade glanced back at Chase before standing up to retrieve Marcie. After sitting the badly crushed hat back on her head and checking her cloak for tears she remembered the burning gun. deciding not to pry into Chase's business Shade just said "sorry bout' your gun...I had to throw it into the pound....it burned me" Shade stood looking at her feet expecting chase to chew her out for damaging the valuable gun that he seemed to be so attached to.

Chase still breathing heavily said " Its fine but you know i have to get it or else it will fall into the wronge hands and kill me." Chase feeling dizzy from loss of blood tried to stand up but spit out blood. Chase said"Sorry" to Shade because she probably didn't want to see him spit out blood or anything she probably thought it was gross. Chase started to walk over to he pond were he saw his gun through the water. It felt as if the gun was mocking him like haha stpid cat you tried to burn me now look at yourself. Chase knew from his training as an assasin that you are not suppose to destroy your weapon unless you want to self-detinate. He also knew that his body was going to be too complex for an ordinary doctor to treat but the only person that could heal him was number 11. In the group Chase is in they only knew each other by a number not by a name. Number 11 could also fix his gun but it wouldn't be cheap. Chase looked at Shade and said "Are you going to get that? Beside you say I am a cat like it is a bad thing and you know cats hate water." Chase was looking at shade witha smart ass look on his face like he alwas id when he was playing with someone. Chase still had some pain left in lung but it wasn't too bad other than the fact that it hurt like crap.

"Dam I forgot how cold the water is this time of year" Shade smiled at Chase with a evil look that showed attitude and flashed the message You can Kiss my ass. "and I am wounded" Shade held her hand up to Chase's face showing him the melted skin that was now a deep red. "You want it you can get it....in Case you didn't know we dogs enjoy getting wet but not soaked unless the water is very warm" Shade walked over and sat down on one of the stumps just outside of the clearing watching chase with imploring eyes "well go ahead then go and try"

"Well I'll do it!" Happy to help Nikko ran ahead of the scrawbling teenagers he had been following and while in mid run threw off his shirt and dived into the deep pool with nothing but his shorts on. Nikko held his breath as long as he could while pushing through the icy abyss. Nikko opened his eyes to find the gun only to find himself ten feet off the bottom of the pond and suspended among algae and other pond debris that hide his subject from his blurred vision. Nikko made for the bottom of the pool directly below him thinking the weapon would be there. He was right. Right under his grouping hand lay the water filled gun that was still issuing bubbles of steam that burned Nikko as he reached for the gun. After securing the weapon to his belt Nikko kicked off the bottom of the pond and made for the surface were he emerged coughing and spluttering from the long time underwater.

Chase said to Shade " In case you hsven't noticed I am hurt more than you and lus you were the one to put it in the pond anyway." Chase heard a voice that wasn't familular to him so he watch as he saw a boy dive into the pond. Chase saw the boy come up to the pond's surface. He reached ot his hand so the kid could grab it. He wasn't sure who the kid was but he knew it was always nice when people help other poeple excpecally if they aren't doing the job for themselves and for another person. He didn't know that he was acting kind in his own way but it is usually better if no one comments on his good guesters because otherwise he won't do it again. He was glad that the kid came back up for a breath because it ment that he was okay for the most part but the kid way breathing hard so he was a little worried and wanted to help the boy out of the water to the ground so he can regain his breath and not pass out.

Nikko Looked up at the strange kid maybe 16 and continued with his heavy breathing until he slowly regained his breath. He slowly staggered to his feet the cold now beginning to get to him. "Wh-wh-where i..s...my shirrt" Nikko stuttered. He held his arms in a feeble attempt to keep himself warm before reaching down to his belt and pulling out the small gun and handing it to Chase "Name's Nikko and i believe this is yours" Nikko then turned to Shade, mentally embracing himself.

Shade
"what the hell were you thinking? If I refused to get in the water what made you think it was safe in this weather?!" Shade handed Nikko his shirt and crossed her arms now standing on her toes to look down at the tall fourteen year old "And were did you come from?! I thought you were back at home with dad and your brother! Why didn't you get Alerio to send me a letter about you coming here? And were he hell did you get that scar?!" Shade had crossed her arms and was chewing Nikko out merciless while suspiciously eying the large scar that stretched from his temple to his chin and the milky white eye that laid in it's path. "and You!" Shade turned towards Chase with a murderous look on her face, her eyes flashing red and her skin slipping around her face showing her wolf fangs in a wide snarl. "Say thank you to my little brother! he just saved us all trouble and probably got himself very sick in the process!"

Chase looked at shade scared at first but when she started to threatened him with her fangs he simply looked mad. He felt that she was supereor and he didn't thinkso he knew he was controlled by him and only him. His eyes flickered gray as he looked at her. It was like his eyes were having a yellow and gray strobe light going on in them. Chase then replied "I was going to but you can forget it now. I don't need to take you bull ****. I don't need anybody and it doesn't matter that you are helping me with my family i don't care. I WOULD RATHER KILL ALL MY FAMILY THEN TO BE CONTROLLED BY THE LIKES OF YOU! You are no different from any other human i have met. You all are just commanding and selfish. You know what why don't you and all your pals can go jump in a ****ing lake for all i give a dam. I'll do this myself." Chase started to walk in the other direction starting to head in the direction that would lead him out of the forest. Chase was ****ed and wanted to murder people like crazy but right now he was comsintrated on getting out of the forest.

Stunned by the sudden acid in Chase's tone, Shade stumbled back again losing her hat to the moist molding ground. She stood and stared at Chase as he walked away, no one ever had dared to defie her they had always run and hid while the slower people got the brunt of the force.

Shade stuttered after Chase, unsure of exactly what to say to the boy who fought back. "wait!..You can't!...URGGG!!" she was positively steaming at the fact that he had called her a power hungry human. Of all the nerve! Who does he think he is?!

Nikko
Nikko was used to his sister's temper fits and wasn't surprised at all when she chewed him and Chase out was quite expecting a fight to break out at her yells. But that was what he was for, he was used to coming to Shade's aid when one of her temper fits got her in trouble.

"Hey Chase! wait up!" Catching up with Chase, Nikko began explaining. "hey go easy on her she hasn't seen me for five years and hasn't had a letter for three, she has been really worried and on edge. Now I know she shouldn't have yelled but we have all had temper problems in the past and the whole new school and not knowing about her family has really put her edge so please come back? she just saved your live and gave you hope to find your family the least you can do is forgive her for a little temper fit"

Nikko saying that the least chase could do is forgive her for the temper mad him mad because she has been treating him like crap more then just then. He hated that she thought she was more powerful then him he thought everyone was a equal srength until proven otherwise and the fact that she hasn't seen his power and yet she still ranked him lower than her mad him fureous because she treated him like her worthless pet pup. He then replied to Nikko "I don't need to give her anything. I have been treated back enough throughout my life I certainly don't need it from a cocky....wacked up.....MUTT. If she can't see me as equal then I dont see a point in this." Chase's eyes started to flicker like a yellow and gray strob light again. Chase was so fusterated that he just wanted to yell at everyone. Chase calmed himself down enough to tell Nikko thank you for getting his gun ot off the water but after that Chase looked at Shade with his flicking eyes untill his eyes turned completely gray. This was not looking good. Chase had just went into his assasination mode were he would kill who he was looking at. Chase fought bach though and started to walk the other way. Chase continued on his path out of the forest.

Nikko
Nikko looked at Chase with a deep sorrow in his eyes, "I'm sorry......I kinda liked you" and with that Nikko's skin slipped as his hidden rage boiled to the top. "No one, not even her enemies dare call my sister a mutt.....not because of her getting mad but because of her shadow who would always make them sorry for the deed". Screaming louder than he could have yelled, Nikko gave up the fight within himself to keep his cool. Slowly and painfully the process of Nikko's transformation began. Because of his true body's size, the change was near unbearable however when it was finished, the long drawn out scream became a menacing howl. Now, in front of Chase stood a warg, his long scrawny legs shook as the pain resided and blood dripped down his jaw onto the ground. The warg was six feet tall and pitch black making it hard to see in the dark twilight, there was a long silver streak of sliver fur across it's face were Nikko's scar had been and his long canine teeth hung below his jaw like a saber toothed tiger. A low vibrating growl emerged from deep below the creatures throat and hung in the air as the warg's muscles tensed for a cat like pounce on the boy in front if it.

Shade
Shocked back into reality by Nikko's change, Shade stopped stuttering and glared at Chase. "I wasn't threatening you I was angry and anger makes my skin slip but you will exactly what you deserve when you fight him......and you will never find your way back out of the forest without me......you need one of the occupants to lead you out of the clearing or else you will keep reappearing here" She crossed her arms again, this time with her temper under control so her skin wouldn't slip also, it would't do to eat the boy.....to much of a bad reputation would be gained from it.

Chase turned around looking at Nikko. He saw that he was transforming into a warg. Chase thought in his head "Great.....Another wolf.....Just swell." Chase got himself positioned in defence form expecting Nikko to attack. Chase heard Shade say that he would just keep going into circles but he didn't honestly care. Chase heard what Shade said about him getting what he diserved. Chase was mad he took that as a horrible insult as if he hasn't been through enough. All Chase wanted was some respect and love I think that is what everybody wants right otherwise they will become cold in the heart. Chase didn't say a word to the two of them he just simply lowered his head and closed his eyes waiting for Nikko to make his move and try to finish him off.
