Shade had removed her usual top hat and had donned a black cloak with the hood pulled far over her face. In the dark twilight her shape was very hard to make out. Shade liked it like this although the prospect of showing an outsider her secret was slightly unnerving. Shade shifted from foot to foot the time passing by endlessly. They had to start the trek soon if they wanted to be back before sunrise. A small barn owl hooted his suprise at finding a cloaked figure leaning on his house. The noise from the owl startled Shade, however she moved in respect to let the angry bird out of the tree before sitting on a nearby stump. Now compleatly bored, Shade begain scalling the owl's tree and within moments she was in the top branches whatching for Chase to appear.

Chase appeared dressed in complete black like normal still wearing his extremely long coat. Chase walked to the tree Shade was siting in and leaned his back up against it. He loved the dark it was always kind to his eyes because it wasn't bright out and the fact that something could come out of any corner was thrilling to him. Chase looked around and then said "So are we meeting here at this tree or perhaps that tree what is it Shade?"

Shade's sillohet fell from the tree before righting itself, the hood still obscuring her features in the dark. "No this is to close to the school we have to walk a while before we find them." Shade beconed to Chase and walked off through the dense forest. There was a broad branch off of the trail and a narrow branch off but Shade didnt take either of them and just continued straight forward between the trails and into the ruff undergrowth.

Chase said "You have got to be kidding me I have to walk through tall grass and thinks there could be a snake and then I have a problem with it. Chase stood there looking at how tall the grass was and just stood there waiting to hear an answer from Shade.

"Come on big baby! you want to find your family dont you? If a girl can trudge through this you can and besides all snakes are more afraid of you then you are of them." Shade turned around to wait for chase however she refused to come back for him. "If your not coming I will just go find them myself and you wont be able to find your family."

"Why do you have to be like that? I don't like snakes okay and yes I know that are more scared of my then I am of them but that is what makes them bite people." Chase walked closer to the tall grass and had a terrified face on him.

Shade sieghed before stepping out of he grass. Once out Shade cuaght hold of Chase's sleeve and pulled him ruffly into the grass. Imeadietly they found themselves in a long clear medow with no tall grasses however they were standing in one of sevral large banks of heather. "There you see you big baby that grass is just a prop to hide the medow." Shade started walking down the medow and about half way through it she turned back to see if Chase was following.

Chase was following her looking around the meadow. He was confused slightly but that was okay because he was going to be able to try and find his family. Chase wasn't sure what he was going to give them from when he was little. Chase said to shade " So I cant have my gun on me?" chase stood there waiting for a reply.

"No you can't and I thought I made that perfectly clear." Shade moved forward a couple steps and beconed Chase to her. Shade lifted a particularly large thorn bush with her gloved hand reavealing a concealed pocket in the earth that was full of rusty knives, short swords, small guns and even a shurikan. "put any weapons you have in hear and on our way back you can come to get them." Shade waited unpatiantly for Chase to relinquish his weapons.

Chase replied "but I can't just leave my gun my gun is a part of me. It was specially made for me and only me if anybody else tries to use it their arm muscles will tare. I can't just leave it here for all I know this could be walking into a death trap and I might never get my gun back plus how else am I suppose to defend myself if I don't have my gun. You know what you are asking me? You are basically telling be to put my favorite friend or pet in a whole and bury them alive. It will be all dirty if I get it later too then I will have to clean it and how am I going to do that if weapons aren't aloud on school grounds."

Shade laughed. "Your best friend? Ha! It may be your most valued item but you best friend? You must be pretty lonley! Guns can't be your best friend, you need to get to know a few people! Go get a girl friend you big cat!" Shade let the bush sling back to it's original position and started walking away. Shade stopped abuptly as if she had just remembered somthing important. "Hey Chase! Your gun won't get that dirty and if you won't put it down you won't get to meet the trackers and if you don't meet the trackers......well you won't find your precous family.

Chase blushed a little bit when she said that he needs to get a girlfriend. Chase is like I don't normally get close to anybody because of nature. I don't trust well okay. Plus I am working on getting a girlfriend it is harder than you night think. Its not just as simple as Hey you want to do out? Chase put his gun done and said something under his breathe that sounded like "suemotha". Chase started to walk over to Shade and the gun seemed to have disappeared. Chase was walking next to her and asked " Why did you call me a big cat. Chase started to get a little worried now.

"Put the gun in the hole." Shade was slightly irritated at the fact that he thought she would not notice if he picked his gun up again if he had tried to start a good canversation. "And I called you big cat because your part cat....I can smell it on you. Unless of course you go out sleeping in the woods with cheetas." Shade stood whatching Chase for a while as if trying to make up her mind about somthing before quickly saying "Well we are waisting moonlight and we still have a while ahead of us to go so lets move." However Shade stood there until Chase put his gun in the hole.

Chase looked at her and said " I didn't pick my gun back up. He opened his coat and showed her the inside and then took it off. See it is not on me you can check me if you want but i don't have it. I put it down on the ground over there. Chase was being serious it was nowhere to be found on him.

Shade narrowed her eyes suspicously at Chase. She saw him put it on the ground then when she looked back it was gone. "Then show it to me. Point it out in the bushes then hand it to me." Shade would not allow any kind of weapon around her brouthers and they realy didnt like guns so this was likely to go very wrong if Chase showed up with a concealed hand gun. Shifting from foot to foot staring Chase down almost challenging him with her eyes to prove her wrong.
